About TBA Credit Union
TBA Credit Union began with a few spare dollars, a cigar box and a basic trust in people. It was 1955. Dwight Eisenhower was in the White House. Elvis had not yet had his first hit. And a few members of the Traverse City school system were making a little history of their own. Seeing a need to help educators and school staff with their finances, the small group pooled the $50 needed for a credit union charter. On Thanksgiving Day, 1955, the Traverse City School Employees Credit Union was chartered.
In those early days, funds were kept in a cigar box. Those needing a loan could take what they needed and leave an I.O.U. to be covered the next payday. It was a level of shared trust that continues today with TBACU members.
Like our area, TBACU has grown considerably and now provides a wide range of services to over 13,000 members. Now chartered as a community credit union, TBACU offers membership to anyone within a five-county area, including Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties. We have, however, never strayed far from our roots. We are committed to our members. Their needs. Their dreams. Their financial futures. It’s why we got started. It’s why we continue.

I love the remote deposit...makes depositing checks easy to do from the comfort of home.

All I see on the Banking page is a timer, a logout button which seems to do nothing, and a control to magnify or reduce. All else is just white screen. Other pages load and work fine on my Samsung Galaxy S5. Before this happened I liked the app and used it a lot. Uninstall and reinstall did not help.

I have to delete the tba app & reinstall every time I want to use the remote deposit. Very frustrating! Does anyone else have this issue? I have a newer HTC droid phone.

I have reinstalled the app 3 times as directed by the credit union and it still crashes 70% of the time when I try to do a deposit. I've called the credit union and they have been no help with support. All I got was it works for lots of other people. Great concept but needs to work on a regular basis

This app provides no additional value over accessing TBA's website using a mobile browser. In fact, the mobile web version is a lot easier to use in comparison to the app. A mediocre attempt to innovate. I can't imagine this changes the way people are banking with TBA other than causing frustration. There has to be a few outfits in TC that could develop a native app and blow this out of the water.

This app is decent. I don't have many complaints when it comes to the way the app is set up. However, the fact that the "back button" on my phone (Samsung) doesn't work in-app, and instead, completely closes the app and logs me out is beyond frustrating! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

I've been a proud member with TBACU for nearly a decade. When the website was updated and online banking made available, I would say TBA made a great step to keep up with technology. The mobile app is another good step in the right direction, but since it simply opens the same online banking site I just mentioned, it doesn't do much for innovation. The app also comes with some other options like atm locator, rates, and events - but unfortunately almost all of them immediately force close. Keep trying, TBA.

I have experienced several mobile banking apps and this one by far has the most functionality! The deposits are easy and fast, the account info is well organized and the total amount of info I have access to is much more comprehensive than a basic map & contact details! Great app!
