Mobile Security & Protection for Android
No integration with Chrome (AFAICT). UPDATE: Version 2.0.2 works well with links from other apps (e.g. Facebook) in Android 6.0. Well done! UPDATE #2: Causes LastPass to crash. Uninstalled.
Does not provide website ratings like the desktop version does. You can search for a website from the WOT app to get a rating, but that is a cumbersome extra step.
Instead, every URL I open now asks which app I want to open it with. Before installing this app, it defaulted to Chrome or a bespoke app.
Be cautious with this app, both google and Firefox banned it from its addons list because of its privacy hack on users accounts (imagine what it's made for but in reverse). Won't say the app does the say, but why wouldn't it?
I can't see a big benefit to using this because it won't show me safety results when searching from any browser on my phone. It's just not the same as it is on a computer.
Remove this as soon as possible! It was recently discovered by a German news company that they sold personal information to third parties.
Interesting way of making a mobile version. Denies apps like YouTube and Twitter from opening links.
Not really a practical implementation! This 4 stars is just because I love the desktop addon
Well, this extension super duper goddamn pop pillar for selling super duper privacy related detailed information to advertisers.
Other open tabs disappear when using this app to open new links.
Malware! Read the reviews and articles by credible sources. Uninstalled
Would not search keep asking for valid site
Great way to know whar kind of site you're about to go to before it opens and you find yourself in trouble.
Why can't I login with my account?
Don't work.
Great app
Nice
Mike, moto e running 5.1 I've used wot as an extension in my browser's for a long time, i really like the at a glance feedback it gives with its green circles, very useful. This app doesn't work in the same way, that's a shame, I would prefer it to show the reassuring green circle in my browser. Other than that small gripe, this is fine. Although it doesn't look like it, it is working in the background. If you go to a dodgy site in your browser (I use Chrome), this app puts up a message warning you of the possible problems. Unfortunately, that happens after you arrive on the dodgy site's home page.
Allows web surfers to receive overall reputable ratings of the sites visited. Users can also rate and leave personal comments about their otherwise negative encouters w/ suspicious websites.
Please support Yandex browser, it's based on Chromium just like Google Chrome. Yandex also supports third party content blocking like Adguard and the desktop version of it has WOT as a default extension. Edit: I don't use Google Chrome, sorry.
I personally do NOT want to use any browser unless WOT is installed on it. Through the years.. I have come to love this little protector more and more. Do a GOOD thing..and install it on all of your browsers.
Now I can browse with out any fear of risky sites and phishing
It does not work with a browsers stock browser and chrome... and you must add new features such as an scanning the Mobile and add built in wot browser
Uses 50 MB of RAM and that is when I am not even using a browser. Far too much to be acceptable. Developer should test this app before releaing.
...of going in risky, phishy sites.
BUT... I want the red/ yellow/ green circles to appear next to my search results like they do on my desktop!
This is very useful. Helps a lot when trying to locate malicious websites.
Rated application that can really warn us from dangerous websites. Have installed this one to almost all my browsers in my PC. Thank you WOT
By default it doesn't block red websites. We still have to make our own blacklist/whitelist.
Shameful.
WOT tracks your browsing history and sells it to other companies - check their privacy policy.
An app that identifies malicious sites before you load them? Brilliant!
I removed it due to a report that says WOT is selling our histories and potential credentials for banking sites.
You'll never again get on an insecure site with this app!
-_- i hate this >:(
Using it for years on my desktop,
My whole family uses it and it is the best protection app ever
It is a very good & trusted app I do recommend it for you.
it's good

You can't login to the website acct so you have to completely start over with your reviews. You also cannot give a thumbs up or down on the reviews of others. It asks if you want to open links here instead of Firefox, which was my default browser before I installed this.
