MX Player Pro

Video play back is smooth, but sometimes without sound (DTS and AC3). Some audio codecs are missing from this application. I was able to download the missing codecs online and install. Would be nice if the developer just paid for the license, and bundled it into the cost of the app. After all, we are already paying for the app, what is a couple of dollars more for full functionality (you could even release a "super premium" version with all audio and video codecs to play everything, I know I'd pay for it).

Bought this App after half an hour i tried the Free version. It is brilliant, I like how you can resize the movie to fit the screen. The quality is far better than the one that came with the phone. I also did not need to install any Codecs at all, it works perfectly. Well done developer.

It's the ultimate video player. This is the one and only video player that I use. In my opinion, it is the best. Slide right to skip sec, slide up/down on left half of screen during movie for brightness or slide up/down on right half of screen for volume. It took so much time for me to stumble upon those features.

If i can get to boost the sound more than the maximum like vlc, and can also download subtitles directly from player like media player classic I would give it eleven stars if i can. Update: one less star for not adding the boost sound and downloading the subs from the player, come on developer!! You probably have the best player in the world, please make it MY best.

The video player is very good no doubt in that & it is best Media player for Android #1. But i only gave 3 stars not because its not nice nor because it has any issues, i'am giving only 3 stars because the price of Rs.370 for an mobile/Android video player is too much i mean with Rs.370 you can buy a decent PC game. Because of tooo much ad. On the free version i was forced to buy these Pro. Version. I have found no difference between pro. & the free version only the disturbing irritating ads. Have been removed but no difference. If the price of the player was reasonable than more people would have bought these media player & i would have given 5 Stars.

After using this player for a few years, trying many others and returning to MX, I thought why not buying the Pro version? No, the ads didn't bother me. Rather, for the sake of appreciation of the hard work, producing such an easy-to-use player. THANK YOU!

I have ever used this app more than a years. And love it so much. I dont need any converter to watch video/movie in my phone. To support their hard work. I buy the pro version. Thank you for making a good app like this. Please do the best for others app.

I have a few tiny problems... -when I press the home button or the back button with music playing in the background my version of MX laggs the audio. -when using a Bluetooth speaker or headset my music and videos tend to speed up or slow down the audio playing. There is nothing wrong with the video itself. I hope the MX development team sees this. Hope I helped with the improvement of MX!

Plays everything I throw at it now. Used to supplement with VLC, but I've since uninstalled. Big fan of the swipe left and right to scroll back and forth through the video. Not much else to say. Best movie player I've used.

Finally I purchased the paid version. The best video player in world but price should be 1USD so everybody could afford it. Current price is much higher for a media player when almost all other available free to use. Anyways no regret yet to use this paid version as I was completely irritated with adds of the free MX

The best video player out there as far as it goes for me. On Android or Windows or Linux I've never found anything as stable or as simple. I have no experience of IOS. Some devices do need extra codecs but they are free and it's no problem. On the rare occasion if you lose sound or whatever, simply change from hw to sw decoder or vice versa.

been using it for yrs now. top app!! took away two stars as the latest update just keeps crashing with anything i open and i don't have any backups to fall back to :(

I don't understand why these video players don't support MKV audio, I paid for this and I can't watch blue ray files!?? no damn sound, why?ISN'T IT 2017? And DO NOT TELL ME TO PAY MORE!

It crashes (won't even open) when Google Play Services are not installed or when disabled. It used to work without problems until the implementation of Firebase Instance ID service which is responsible for the whole screwup. It's not the only app behaving the same way since Google decided to force yet another controlling service, fortunately most developers didn't (yet) adhered to it. 1 star for adhering to the service

This is the best video player around. I have tried and bought them all. I mainly convert my dvds to .wmv format then store them on my phone to watch using an fm transmitter. This app organizes them and plays them perfectly on my Galaxy Note 3 phone, and my Samsung Tablet. 5 Stars.

MX Player Pro has surpass VLC player in my honest opinion. Have not come across any format so far that can't be played. Plus subtitles customization is great. Plenty of options for tinkering. Hoping for chromecast support.

This is by far the best video player that you can get. I tried using several of the other video players available on the market and their video quality is terrible or they need a bunch of permissions that no video player should ever need.

I am quiet happy with this app as long as my videos are playing with sound. The lack of some audio codecs is a huge downfall. Half of my videos aren't playable due to the missing codec.

So I dropped it from a 5 star rating to a 3 because of the annoyance factor. Good job on pissing off a paying customer!

I was an avid user of the free version. Bought this paid version coz I thought it supports all audio formats (esp. AC3) but was disappointed to learn that it does not.

Literally plays anything, 4k, 60fps anything. Supports multiwindow. Runs smoothly. The interface is the best thing about the app. I was using the free app for long time, should've switched earlier. Must have app to complete the android experience.

Like others have said, this app will play anything you throw at it. Haven't used another video player since!

An excellent media player with support for a wide range of codecs. Anyone looking for AC3 or DTS support can load it in the custom codecs option. The recent updates includes a lot more analytics and connects to facebook. I also noticed subtitles no longer sync properly. Otherwise it's still useable, just less appealing.

Loved using your app for the last year or so. Buying pro because you deserve the cash, not to lose the ads (but that's nice too).

Easily best video player for Android. My only complaint is that for some unusual formats you need to install a custom codec, which is not quite very user friendly to do.

Great app, long time user, purchased it to get rid of ads, but despise that you're forcing me to rate the app to get the dialog box to stop popping up. Well here ya go, devs; after a couple dozen I give up. Here's your forced rating.

Great app been using it for years found it had a paid option and wanted to fully support it. Shame about the missing Audio Codecs but hopefully they will fix that soon.

Its good, sure, HOWEVER if you somewhere that isn't friendly with Google or simply want to move to a Gapps free ROM, this app will be unusable and if you email them asking to have your purchase migrated to they're service which allows everyone else to use credit card payment, they won't get back to you. It doesn't matter that you have the transaction ID from your original Google account purchase, they just don't care. Pay again? With FREE and OPEN SOURCE alternatives already there? For what? A simplistic GUI feature that the other guy didn't include? No!

I have enjoyed this app for years! Simply the best. To all who have an issue with ac3 audio playback, it is an armV7 1.8.16 neon codec that you need to resolve your problem, It allows mx to play ALL AUDIO FORMATS.

Best media player I have ever found. I have used the free version for years and love it so much I finally decided I liked it enough to stop seeing adds cluttering the UI

Besides having to manually add the codecs needed to play DTS and AC3 audio (legal reasons) it's a fantastic media player that's very easy to use. Search xda forum for "aio codec Android" Well worth the premium to support the creators.

Hearing a movies in the Background while the screen is off is brocken. Audio gis off. But the video is still running. Its all fucked up after the last update. Most new comments are having similar problem. Roll it back.

please fix this im on the exynos s7 and 1080p mkv files lag so bad.

Worst app ever... it won't refund even minutes after downloading and asked for the refund right away... bad in all terms

This player just works all the time. Bought the pro version to get rid of the ads. A bit expensive but worth it.

Excellent Player,My only complaint is that some audio codecs are not working like AC3, only video plays without sound My request is to include these codecs in the future updates Apart from this I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Huge thumps up

I tried many a times playing MKV movies but it lags, hitches and flaters a lot. There is no codec for this too

Heyyo, I have a OnePlus One (Qualcomm SnapDragon 801) running Marshmallow 6.0.1 Sultan ROM and hardware acceleration (and H/W+) works great now and has no problems if I skip ahead or jump back unlike earlier versions. Easily worth the 5 star rating meow

Awesome app with all the useful codecs and powerful interface. I only ask for one thing. Material theme inbuilt in the app without any custom skins and side menu.

It plays movies in any format. Even has options to select language and subtitles in mkv files. I wish it was able to stream to Chromecast or similar devices so I could stream the movies to TV.
