Maxthon Browser for Tablet

Chrome annoyingly decides to refresh pages every time you click a tab even if it was already open. There is no reason for that. This browser passed all my tests so far for being a workable browser and seems to be faster and just as stable as chrome. My note to the Maxthon devs: i have tried other browsers that eventually get bloated....just keep this one lean!!! I'd even like to see a version with no cloud options at all. Thanks...

This is the original Maxthon browser layout, the one I love. It's easy to use, feature packed and will work on BOTH your phone and tablet. Avoid Maxthon5, the design doesn't make sense. It's plain and awkward to use.

No rival. I had to uninstall 6 other browser on my phone because I don't need them again. Please this browser is simply the best ever. If you have issues with this browser please check your phone. If you are still using any other browser on your android phones, you are wasting time

I liked the browser on the PC so installed it on my tablet and phone....unfortunately it crashes a hell of alot and tends to mess up inputting text alot too. Not fast in the slightest. I've tried a few different browsers and this is easily the worst,. Uninstalling today

Does not seem to include a block like the mobile version of this browser. Unless I missed it somehow. Sadly I will have to stick to mobile version until it appears on tablet version.

I like how it doesnt crash, even though it may freeze. A bit slow on switching tabs.

I use maxthon across all my devices and am very pleased with its performance which, i think, is better even than Chrome or Firefox. I hope the developers are looking to improve the functions even more.

I am using maxthon pc version due to its stabilty mainly for 5 years . Here in android also its nice but need to know a thing from the dev. Teams why there is no media grabber option for android in any versions like tablet, normal cloud 4, mx 5 since its available with pc versions . Reply required plz

For me, this browser was just awful. Constant ads invading my content and not going away until I used back arrow which also made my viewing content go back. Plus it isn't smooth at all, uninstall, sad face black star

Boot up or turn on your Wi-Fi, and this app will start running in the background (and continue unless you kill it), consuming your battery. I use many apps that use Wi-Fi, including browsers, and the well-behaved ones open when I decide, not when the developer decides. There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour, and whilst it's easy enough to disable the autostarts, it's even easier to uninstall it.

They finally came out of the 1980s with this update by allowing you disable hand gestures which never work as intended, often closing or opening tabs when trying to scroll or zoom on a page. They did include the stupid practice of pumping (making you scroll up the page to get the URL bar to reappear) but do allow you to lock the tool bar so you don't have to pump the page to see it. I did take off one star because they made the speed dial bookmarks huge squares requiring me to scroll down to see them all. I like how they included ad blocking software. No word wrap on zoom needs to be fixed.

Why did this app downloaded a lot of cache and images on my tablet? Literally I just deleted like 5 images of an old lady on swimsuit and 3 landscapes and like 6 business related junk. Please fix this is a pretty annoying problem and is wasting my SD card memory on junk. The worst is that downloaded all that without my permission, and those images doesn't appear on the navigator interface.

Good browser. Does not have the ability to delete all private data and logins, cookies, etc. on exit. Has to be done manually.

The downloader is not good enough like uc browser have if it will have a strong downloader then it will become the No.1 browser in the world. Else that all thing is so very perfect And beautiful.

On my Samsung s4 10.1 there are no addons and there is no adblock, which is pretty terrible when considering that some sites bombard you with pop-ups.

This browser is the best browser so far. I can sync all my favorites on all supported devices. The only problem I have with it is it can't sync my saved passwords.

Too many ads pestering constantly, Uninstalling have on Windows Ten PC - it's OK there but bad on Android Platform!!!!

Download speed is very less than other browsers..

Buttons must be tapped a dozen times before browser reacts. IF it reacts.

fast + cool ..even on small android device.... Um not usin in tab...still cooolest.... :*

By far the fastest browser on my tab pro, but crashes a few times a day, and freezes several. Disabling adblock seemed to help a bit but still bad. Also not very feature rich. It's hard to go back to a slower browser now, but the freezes are starting to get to me. PS Gave up on it, too unstable, I'll take slow over waiting for it to crash every time I load a page.

Maxthon Cloud Browser is by far the most user friendly wth the simple GUI. Underneath its simply Chromium. A highly tweaked & well coded version using barely any ram. Full of user tools & Dev. resources make the web fun again. Supports skins, themes, extensions & syncs easily between devices. Its on 2 of my Xperia fones, my PC, both Win7+ Win10, Lenovo tablet + iOS on my iPad. They communicate using wifi & a fast Sync To All/One or Up to Cloud. Uses Maxthon Passport for security. Great stuff 5*'s defo

The browser is good. Lots of features. Just like a PC browser. Ad blocking is wonderful. However, I have been periodically trying this browser forever, but they still can't make text wrap work. Different devices and tablets, and text wrap has never functioned. Don't understand how the devs can make such a good browser, but fail to get text wrap to work, ever.

Not bad but this three rows icons is to big, can you make four and five row option please.

I've tried all major browsers: Chrome, Opera, Firefox etc. and none of theme even come close to how well this browser manages startup, page memory management, and flash. It is, simply put, the best browser to use on the Nexus 9. Bar none.

Had a friend who used to swear by Maxthon on Desktop. Cool to see it's still around and going mobile on Android. Unfortunately, this tablet version seems out of date and has not received any security or stability updates all year! Personally, I I'd move on and try a different browser. I love Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or anything from Opera on both Android and Windows.

This app was great for a while, then all of a sudden it has started force closing after only a few minutes of being open. I can use it just long enough to get a few pages open and start working on something, and then it closes and I have to start all over again. It's extremely frustrating. Will rate 5 stars when fixed. Galaxy Tab 3.

This was my browser of choice until, after an update, it would not follow links on some sites, including BBC News and Facebook. Unusable so uninstalled.

Maxthon simply opens links in mobile site, which is not what I want. Also custom gestures will be a big plus!!!

Renders pages OK, but combines popups with current tab, instead of opening a new tab - why? On some sites, back-button doesn't work properly.

Way too much lagging and out right stopping lately. Don't know what changed but I can't get normal reading done.

When I log in to various pages, I don't get a prompt asking if I want to save passwords. It's a major pain to have to manually login to my favorite sites. When will this problem be fixed? Also, if set pages to open in new tab, you get 2 extra tabs and if you set to open new background page, it still opens up in same page. There are theme options for this version. It's otherwise the same as Firefox and Dolphin so if these buggy issues aren't fixed, I may have to unstall Maxthon soon.

A lot faster then Firefox and Chrome. I'll be setting this as my default browser.

Using it on my phone bc it works better than the standard phone Maxthon app
