MX Add-on: Advanced Gesture for Android
With this add-on, you can now create your own gestures for browser short-cuts. For example, you can set up gesture "F" for facebook.com, "G" for google.com, etc
Remove this. Doesn't work
This or even add-ons do not show on some of my android devices, only on one of my android devices. Needs a global URL address to show & work on all like config:about (which does not work on maxthon either) so can add to homepage for all devices, not just a few. On the one it shows, half gestures do not function either. I use maxthon mainly due to gestures, which need fixing more.
Downloading doesn't do anything
How to use?
But doesn't recognize gestures like it should I made a few and the only gestures it reads are the stock ones and it doesn't even read those like it should it worked probably 10% of the time
only default gestures work... if you draw your own, it wont work.

I cannot get it to recognize any custom gesture I make nor the default ones. It just won't work.
"131114...t/o...thanks..."
I have used Maxthon with this app before and loved it. I have returned to the browser after a while and decided to also use the gestures again. But nowi can't get it to work. It shows up on the quick access page, I can edit my gestures, but the browser still only accepts the default gestures. Any help? What could be the problem? I'd hate to give a bad rating for something that could easily new fixed by setting it up properly.
I Loved it to used very smart...
Always difficult to get working, but now fails completely on maxthon upgrade. Installs on favorites screen but doesn't do anything. Edit: still broken, doesn't work on new s4 either. Can't find older version anymore, switching to Chrome
This add-on is close to being great but far to often it will not recognize your gesture. Even when you input the gesture multiple times it still refuses to jump to the page. Dolphin Browser HD doesn't have this trouble with it's gestures even if you have to go through the extra step of tapping the gestures button in the lower corner. Also, as others have said you have to add the ability to draw an arrow up to jump to the top of the page and arrow down to jump to the bottom. With out gestures being 100% ready for prime time I can't use Maxthon as my primary browser. I have made them to much a part of my online tablet experience to go back now. Till then it's Dolphin.
Can not assign gestures, useless!
Force closes when trying to assign gesture. Please fix. Really need this add on
Awesome. This is what I want from long time.
Force closes as before. Can't assign gestures for forward back n others
Always error occurred when trying to save.
Sweet
Always force close
This add-on used to work great, but now it's been many versions of the browser since the add-on stopped working. I find nowhere to customise the gestures, and this remains the case even after uninstalling and reinstalling. I have tried all settings pages, as well as the quick links page, but have had no luck.
No matter how much I tried, gestures do not work. The reason why I wrote very poor, is simply because the program, although very good, is very misleading, when it comes to using gestures. It has an option to enable it or disable it, making you believe that gestures should work if you enable it, but then I come to find out, I needed to download an another program for it to work, but that didn't work either.
Use Maxthon for a long time and gestures was the key. It hasn't worked for like 6 months. There are better browsers out there and if gestures don't work, I'm moving on.

nice
Good
The main reason I tried this was because I wanted jump to top and jump to bottom gestures. Can't add custom actions, only custom pages. The list of options given are not even as good as the standard list for other browsers with gestures. Need to look at what dolphin offers stock and implement those options, at least. Uninstalling. Uninstalling.
Tried disabling the gestures than enabling them again, tried to kill Maxthon's task to reset it, tries to reset the phone completely... the add-on just won't appear anywhere.
Didn't work with latest version of maxthon but after reinstalling it appears in quick access tab now
Not working
Guys I figured out how it works. Go to settings - page display - gesture settings, enable them. Then there's a page called advance gesture where the rest of your speed dials are. That's how you create / edit gestures

Only seems to recognize gestures about 50% of the time. Shame, because the implementation is quite nice.
Droid Incredible: How do you use this? It doesn't show up as an app and my default browser doesn't have an option for add-ons..
Loved the idea but could never get it to work. Thanks to the reviewer before me, it dawned on me to try again. First, uninstall advanced gestures in your app manager. Then open Maxthon and on your quick start tap the + tile then add on. Install advanced gestures from there. It'll take you to the app store, install it. The next time you open Maxthon, there will be the tile to set up your gestures.
Thanks for fixing the gesture issue, works just perfect Maxthon is now my default Browser cheers!
Cool idea, but registers normal movement as gestures and sometimes crashes browser upon executing.
Fantastic, what a bonus to add to a near perfect browser.

Your description of this add-on should detail how to activate it rather then me having to have to go dig up how to activate it. Next after activating I don't see any way to access gestures. This should also be documented clearly.
