Poly Rides for Android
Drivers can offer rides, specifying their departure and arrival addresses, date and time of departure, cost per seat, and number of seats available.
Passengers can enter a departure and arrival address and ideal date and time of departure. They will be given a list of rides available within 24 hours of their departure time, sorted by proximity to the desired route. Passengers can also see mutual friends with their potential drivers. Want to be dropped off along the way? No worries! Any rides in that time frame are displayed so you can easily see what rides are available, even if they are not going to your exact destination city!
Featuring Facebook integration, in-app messaging, and an advanced ride sorting algorithm, you can easily connect with other Cal Poly students to help decrease the number of cars on the road!

Loving this idea for an app. I suggest that there would be a page where people can just browse through all the offered rides by general area like NorCal to SLO or SLO to SoCal because a lot of cities are difficult to match up perfectly. Berkeley may not register as something offered but San Francisco might. Or just come up with something with more of a generous search radius so Berkeley doesn't only mean Berkeley. Good job so far!
