About Snowmobiling New York State

Our NY statewide trail app has been enhanced for your 2016-2017 season! Now with five types of Trail Conditions available as an in-app purchase! (Trail Conditions feature requires reception). All 45 counties worth of trails available without reception. Including Old Forge/Inlet trail system.

Video demonstration on phone app page of NYSnowmobileWebmap.com website.

Statewide coverage of corridor & secondary trails, club verified corridor, secondary and local trails included for NYSnowmobileWebmap participating clubs. Trail junctions and locally owned, snowmobiler friendly businesses included – find where to eat, get gas, parts and repair, or stay the night.

We’ve added what you requested: turn-by-turn directions, more waypoint options, club events, Covered Bridge Challenge route and color coded trails, including on-road trails.

Tap a trail pin, find out if it has been GPSed or not and what club maintains it. Contact the club if necessary. Business pins are category coded, tap for complete descriptions.

Trails, trail markers and intersections available for display without reception across the state. Currently cached maps will also display without reception. No need to hassle with a paper map blowing in the wind.
Going to an unfamiliar area? Enable GPS on your phone and never get lost! No need to try to figure out where you are, your phone app will show you relative to the trails and intersections. With or without reception!

Capture your ride or plan out a route. Town names will display for better orientation if riding without reception for an extended time and your phone no longer has cached street maps.

Don't miss out on all these features:
• Old Forge and Inlet permitted trail system included
• app centers on your current location
• midseason trail updates automatically downloaded with reception, at your approval
• complete statewide corridor and secondary trail coverage
• local trail coverage for over 90 clubs
• display current satellite GPS location
• mark and save waypoints
• capture and save GPS breadcrumb tracks, just tap the compass to start
• turn-by-turn navigation (voice and visual)
• display all trail data and businesses without reception, statewide
• choice of street view or hybrid satellite view
• display the current radar, with reception
• create, edit and save routes
• predominantly local, mom & pop businesses that welcome and cater to snowmobilers

REMEMBER: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Please be prepared.

Don't wait any longer! Download our essential app today and know you will enjoy your ride anywhere you go in New York State. Think snow!

Kind of annoying you have to zoom in so far to see the trails. I have to have a separate map to tell where I'm at. Trying to plan a cross state trip is really difficult...

Works great when it works. Very accurate trails and GPS location. But constantly shuts down or locks up on my G5. Then I need to reload which is not fun with gloves on in the cold.

Got us home safe after we were hopelessly lost that's gotta count for something haha

LATEST UPDATE: Really want this to work. Unfortunately, the app gets hopelessly lost most of the time in Old Forge or Moose River Plains, on my Galaxy S7, and just gets into a loop of "You're going off route. Recalculating." It's more of a distraction than a help. OK as a map, not so much as a turn-by-turn aid. Thank you for trying, and for reducing the number of ads in the free app. From five stars to two. :( ORIGINAL:Having access to maps without cellular coverage is key, especially in the back woods in unfamiliar territory. This app helps you plan trips to new places with minimal fuss, and can be a veritable life saver if conditions get bad. Looking forward to the new turn by turn directions. This was a big hit last year with my riding group.

Really well done. The best snowmobile app I've seen to date. Even better, it reports anonymous information from each riders phone to see which trails are being used most, which ones are bumpy vs smooth, etc. Very smart use of technology.

This is the only app I'll ever use in NY. I've been using this app for five years and done beta testing for it for five years as well. It's come a long way, very dependable, and has never let me down. Tons of great features, works without cell reception, and excellent support.

This app is great used it many times...happy with the 14.99 in app purchase its better than going to multiple club sights...alot of clubs dont have a website or no info update in yrs.....

I can't see spending $14.99 for trail conditions when most clubs have the exact same information or I can just go to the web page.

Great app. We have used it several times and we would highly recommend it to others.

When the app crashes, which it often does, I lose the map. If you are in an area with poor cellular data service your map is gone. The app will display the loading screen until then. It has value but you should carry a paper map for backup and keep in mind that the trail system, routes, access, and signage(with can be damaged easily by accident or vandalized) is maintained by volunteers. Basically only trust road signs to determine your exact locations if you are unfamiliar with the area.

Will not show you where you are. Standing at a junction and looking at a map with 8 junctions. No dot to let you know exactly where you are. Frustrating at night fall !!!

Navigation in the house so far can't wait to try it out in the field , looks like Technology is awsome guys and Gals.

Linda and crew have a great interface now with the businesses and gas. Hope it runs well this winter and we have snow to do the whole challenge

Best money I spent on snowmobiling last year. So easy to use and with the turn by turn voice I do you have to keep pulling out the phone and draining the battery by waking up the screen. Life saver! And the center screen icon pinpoints your current location when you happen to blow through one of the voice commands.

This app works flawlessly with no reception needed which will save on battery use. If you are unsure of where you're riding or your surroundings I highly recommend this app. (I've been riding for 45+ yrs.) The folks that put this together are second to none in customer service and satisfaction and in this day & age, that is very important to me. Thanks!

I purchased the app several weeks ago and have now had a chance to use it on three different trips. Twice in Tug Hill and once in Moose River Plains. I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 and the app worked flawlessly. I put the phone on airplane mode and the app & gps still works. So I can use the app all day and hardly use any battery. Very happy with it. Adds a lot confidence and peace of mind to a trip. Linda at customer support is also very pleasant & courteous, and fast to respond, even on the weekends.

I really wanted to see all the secondary trails marked out also..

App bombs out and closes almost every time I go in. Very frustrating please fix before the real snow starts to fly.
