This is an excellent & accurate chromatic tuner. My favorite feature is the option to add note reference for custom instruments & comes with some predefined. You can choose from that list of instruments to display the notes for tuning. It also has the option to set the A4 reference & listen to each note. It is ad-supported but ads are small and leave plenty of space for the user interface on small devices. I have two suggestions for the developer: The first would be to possibly improve sensitivity (display refresh rate?). The meter tends to jump around a bit & can be confusing at first. When compared to Vocalist (Lite), Vocalist is much more sensitive & gives the user a smoother display output. However, Vocalist consumes MUCH more power. If the app would have to sacrifice power consumption to improve sensitivity then I would say leave it as it is. My second suggestion would be to add a confirmation dialog for removing instruments from the saved list. It is easy to accidentally touch "delete" & remove an instrument. It must then be manually re-entered if you want it back. A confirmation asking to continue after hitting "delete" would prevent this and be very helpful.

This app is working fine for tuning instruments with simple sound spectrum, but it shouldn't list the piano among the instruments that it can tune, this is simply wrong and deceiving. Piano has varying inharmonicity (please Mr.Edwell, look it up), which means you can't tune each note to its fundamental value. Instead you tune two partials of two notes one with another (eg. partial 6 of lower note with partial 3 of upper note in the lower register). This software doesn't handle this at all! The result of tuning a piano with it would be a high register that would be too low by at least a semi-tone, bass that would be too high by a quarter-tone, and generally an instrument that sounds like crap because of overtone mismatch. Thank you.
