MuseScore Songbook for Android
Pretty solid. A great learning tool, and nice to have at jams due to the transposing feature. I would like to have control of the chord symbol size, though, since they are sometimes too small. I was very disappointed when Avid didn't port their Scorch app to Android tablets, but by migrating Sibelius scores to MuseScore and saving them as .mscz files, MuseScore Songbook makes a reasonable alternative to Scorch for Sibelius veterans.
As a jazz saxophonist who plays a lot with singers, I'm finding this app essential. It is even more useful then the great iReal Book for melody instruments. Just one request, would it be possible to be able to push the score up or down an octave - I've just accompanied a singer and found that the key she wanted pushed the lowest note down past the lowest range and I was frantically trying to remember what it was. Apart from that, the app is my main gig app now
Love the app but has a few bugs . If I close a song after having changed the key, it reverts to original key once I reopen. Also would be nice if we could create setlists. Favorites feature not available when clicking on 3 dots.
It's ok but I was hoping to be able to open the mscz. files that I've created & saved on the device (not just the online access - and this was one of the main reasons for purchasing the app, instead of using the free one). Also, where do I find the option to open the file via Dropbox (as described as one of the features) ?
This is great for finding new composers and different music for symphonies and orchestras. However, the software needs to be restarted now and then, and the lack of the music creator does lessen the appeal, but this is a well designed app nonetheless.
It was handy way to display scores I've written in the desktop version and stored on Google drive. However the new version always gives errors when trying to open files I've created on an earlier version of the desktop app.
It's great, I just have one problem. How do I become a pro user? I want to be able to save it as PDF file, but it always says I have to become a Pro member first. Other than that, it's a great app.
EDITED TO ADD: Seems to vary by device: MuseScore Songbook works on my older Lenovo Android 5 device *without* 3rd-party file manager, but Songbook does *not* work on my Samsung Android 6 device. Anyway, the official MuseScore helpfile says you need a "3rd party file manager app such as Astro or ES" to open offline local-storage files. Since it turns out MuseScore works on the older Android 5 device, that's adequate for now, so I raised my rating from 2 stars to 3.
Great app I love the creativity and availability for young musicians! Lots of music in just about every category and the availability to compose your own which I love. Everything is great! I give 5 stars.
It is wonderful that you can listen to the tracks or voices separately. You can also save your favourate music scores on the song book. This is a very good app. Please keep up the good work.Thank you very much. Chris Basson
I am unable to locate the MuseScore Pro; I was under the impression that this app was that, but I guess not. I am unable to download pdf's
Hey, I just wanted to give this app a 5 star because it's a great tool but more importantly Musescore is a fantastic product across all platforms. I have the Linux version I use a lot. It was free and I wanted to reward Musescore for putting out such great stuff so I purchased this app as a way to funnel them some loose change. Thanks and keep up the great work! Jeff
So far.tbisnhas proved to be everything we've needed for getting music out to our quartet. I love that you can adjust the volume of individual parts, so that while learning the music you can play your part louder while not completely losing the other voice parts in the background
Musescore is a must-have for everyone who wants to play an instrument from a score. I transcribe my pieces in Musescore, then playback segments I want to practice, varying the speed. How could I learn music without Musescore! Thank you for me this great app!
I'm having real issues with this app and the co founder that I emailed is being extremely rude and not replying!
I use the app to practice the song we sing at the choir. Works fine! I can easily adjust the tempo, separate the voices, add a metronome, loop harder parts to focus on those! All around a good app!
OK, so the sheet music list is not exhaustive, but equally, there are loads or scores for free! What is not to like about that?
its a good app for sheet music not much more to say except it would be nice if there was a inverted mode to help people like me with poor vision see things better
This is ridiculous, can't even save a song the Google should take this down.
This app needs to option to open files from inside the app instead of relying on outside the app. Cumbersome to use.
The sound of the Instruments is just horrible
Is there anyway to print scores that I find?
Amazing, absolutely amazing. Now I can practice songs without being so dependant on internet.
Love this app so much, it's brilliant for sight reading as well as learning pop songs
Love the wide variety of music and the customized options layout. This app is Gold!!!
Excellent for practice
Seems to do what I want so far
This is a great app for arranging a cappella music! It's easy to use too!
Very useful for beginners learning to play an instrument and read music.
Redesign please
This is an excellent tool for helping an amateur to practice harmony.
Enjoying using the app. Easy to use. Does what I need it to.
Great apps ,like it very much
Lebih banyak lagi untuk format orchestra
This app is amazing!! Definitely worth what you pay for!!!
It work for me
Very useful for learning choir pieces
Open source software is always the best it can be (never inbuilt restrictions by design), it never leads to vendor tie-in (no forced artificial obsolescence to make more money from the user on dubious grounds), and it is always improving (the sky is the limit). Projects like this one show just how good it can get.
Wanted to use it to open scores on the move...it won't do it! Galaxy S6. Latest Android. A waste of money...and leaves a bad taste, especially when the PC version is so good!
