2013年に世界で初めて市販された搭乗型パワードスーツ、通称「エクゾジャケット」は、その後30年の間に急速な進化を遂げ、建築・土木作業現場、テーマパーク、消防署、工場、機動隊等に導入配備され、社会生活の様々な分野に浸透していた。

エクゾジャケットに搭乗して行われるスポーツ「ジャケットゲーム」は、世界各地で行われ、一般的な知名度はないものの、一部の熱狂的なファンに人気を博していた。
