Double-sided decorative paper: medium pink tapestr
white/pink polka dot
Cardstock: dark pink, one sheet; light pink, three
White printer-weight paper, several sheets
Die-cut Valentine sentiments: "LOVE" title;
"my sweetheart" sticker
Pink/red ribbon, 3/16" x 1/2 yd.
Pink buttons, three
Rosy red brads: four small; one large
Rosy red ink pad

Tools
Serrated knife
Candle stub or paraffin
Pencil
Ruler
Scissors: straight-edge; scallop-edge
Needle tool
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Thick, white craft glue or paper glue
Cosmetic wedge sponges

Instructions
Note: Use straight-edge scissors for cutting, unless otherwise
indicated.

1. Wax serrated knife with candle stub or paraffin. Trace
album pattern twice onto foam sheet and cut out on traced
lines to create front and back album covers. Smooth cut edges
with fingers or gently sand with scrap foam.

2. Trace each album cover onto back of medium pink paper and
light pink cardstock. Cut out hearts just beyond traced lines
using scallop-edge scissors. Ink all heart edges rosy red
using cosmetic sponge. Glue medium pink hearts to front of
front cover and back of back cover.

3. Cut two 1" x 6" strips from pink card stock for album
hinges. Fold each hinge in half width wise. Glue ends of hinges
to back of front cover and front of back cover at rounded tops
of hearts. Glue pink cardstock hearts to foam over hinge ends.

4. Cut three 1/2" x 12" strips from light pink cardstock for
each album cover. Adhere overlapping strips around heart
edges, completely covering foam surface.

5. Cut small and large heart patterns from papers as
indicated; use scallop-edge scissors to cut out polka dot
heart. Use remaining pattern to cut five or more pages from
white printer-weight paper.

6. Adhere large pink cardstock heart to dark pink cardstock;
cut out using scallop-edge scissors, leaving narrow border.
Adhere hearts to front album cover as shown.

7. Use two small brads, dipped in glue, to adhere LOVE die cut
to front cover as shown. Adhere die-cut sticker sentiment near
bottom of front cover. Poke tiny hole in one end using needle
tool; dip large brad ends in glue and insert into hole.

8. Tie ribbon bow; glue to polka dot heart. Glue buttons to
pink heart as shown.

9. Stack album pages and place on top of back cover. Use
needle tool to poke two holes through all pages near rounded
top edge of heart as shown. Dip brad ends in glue and insert
through pages into foam; let dry. Note: Back page may be glued
to album cover for added strength.
