About VTX Calculator

Ever have problems in the field with other pilots interfering with your video channel? This app solves that! Just open it up, select the number of pilots flying, and it will give you the optimal channel selections to make sure everyone can see what they're doing. Included are DIP switch positions for most video transmitters, so it takes the guesswork out of assigning channels.

Needs updating to take account of Intermodulation Distortion, which creates distortion on two channels if a third channel is transmitting precisely equidistant between the other two. Otherwise, pretty good. Straightforward UI, but very tidy.

The diffrence between the pilots should be considered based on the frequency dirrfrence between and not just the slots. For example if you take 8 pilots the diffrence between the last one #8 and the one before #7 is 79MHz and the diffrence between the #7and #6 is only 26MHz. And this will squeeze 6 pilots on an average of 25MHz difference and two king pilots in start and end with 80MHz seperation !!!

Pulling up the dip switches for so many models of vtx is so useful, especially when someone else doesn't know their own switches. Thanks!

Great app that is very useful. Only missing a few things like. Raceband edition ubad/hawkeye vtx, and fatshark receiver frequency chart, to easier find the matching band. Maybe add some other receivers too?

Would love to see the option for multiple vtx for each pilot!

I love this app and use it everytime we go flying, but the dip settings for the TS5823 are wrong. The sheet that comes with it has different settings and those ones are on the correct frequency. If you update this, then it'll be perfect.

A great, well thought out app. It would be nice to use this app on race day to quickly set up and chart pilots on race day. Maybe it would ask # of pilots, user would input pilot names and tx type and frequency, it would detect conflicts and recommend changes. Also some video rx only pick up certain bands so user would input this info for the pilot as well to determine what options they have and would recommend other frequencies pilot A can't use to pilot B. A long shot, but it would be amazing.

Almost perfect for our needs. Would be brilliant if we could record the pilot's name against a channel. Otherwise top notch.

Thanks, very helpful! Could you add Aomway 200mw please?

Great idea for an app and very useful! Channel exclusion is a good idea for an extra bit of convenience, but non-preset channel exclusions don't seem to work for me. I want to set US legal channels (no Boscam E 4,7,8), but app does not seem to allow the manual exclusion settings that the interface implies it should.

Before the latest update it was fine. Now the dip switches for the TS5828 are all wrong. Can you fix this please

X70%
by X####:

Unfortunately some dip-switch diagrams think the black is the switch, others think the white is the switch. Manufacturers are inconsistent here, sadly. Unfortunately you seem to have copied off the inconsistent manufacturer images.... So for example your fatshark images are "white is switch" but your TS5823 images are "black is switch". I know this isn't your fault - but in an ideal world you would harmonize this...

Useful app for the often frustrating problem of trying to get everyones vtxs playing nice. To the guy who gave 3 stars because of no scanner: You have no idea how this tech works. Just because a signal is being sent out on 2.4 or 5.8 does not mean that any device with that radio can read it. If I speak Chinese on 2.4 gigahertz a guy who only speaks Russian isn't going to be able to make any sense of it even if he hears it.

The latest update is great! Added support for loads of dip switch combinations for many VTXs! However, I wish the app had a tab for displaying a table layout of the channels and frequencies that is easier to glance at like the included charts that come with most VTXs. Scrolling through a vertical list to find my frequency might not be as accessible as the format I'm used to working with during a race. Thanks for developing the app and I hope you can consider my wish list feature!

Awesome app for fpv flyers but you could include frequency scanner to see whichchannels are in use as all phones have 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz tranceivers it can be done apps such as wifi analyzer do it

Can't see boscam vtx :(

Add an option to select some permanent channels, we see a lot of people that can't change their frequency, if we can select in the app those channels and the algorithm will select the best channel to the other pilots.. That would be great! Thanks!

Keep up your work to support more transmitters, dip switch help for receivers would be also appreciated. I use many different TX (Boscam, DAL, SkyZone). The more you have in the database, the more valuable your app would be.
