It happens when there are multiple vatiations. The "Choose variation" popup covers the move navigation keys and it's very annoying on times when I simply wanna navigate the game fast!

Only to add a chess engine like stockfish to analyze the games...please add it ..then I will give you 5 star must...

This has to be the last thing u wanted as a professional player in ur pocket-sized laptop!

I have purchased $30 worth of books and not only cannot access the books, but does not allow a refund. Do NOT download!

1. How do I Bookmark where I stopped reading for the day? 2 How do I enlarge the print of the book?

Stay away! Bought Chess Fundamentals of Capablanca. Did not even open or load. No refunds. Bad app. Do not buy from this company.

This app would be perfect if it allowed the user to adjust the board and text size. As it is, the words are much too small and hard to follow. With that said, the content offered is above average.

Not sure if the last update caused it, but now I get "no new pgn books to import" even though they are in the Chess_Viewer folder.

an option to bookmark the current game and position would be nice!

Have to purchase books

The new one is bad comparing the old one. I have to keep uninstalling it to get the old one back. I have to disable the wifi to stop it upgrade. I hope I could stop using it.

Like the improvement with the board in connection with being able to read the text.But I agree with someone,that it would be nice to have next page,or flip the page,and number the games. Chess players,if you love this app please support them, it takes money to make improvements, this is a wonderful app with lots of potential.

But except the navigation buttons because they are now small. Please make them big. BTW my phone screen is 5 inches big.

The book reading app interface is cumbersome at best, it's glitchy, there is no "Help Menu", & if you go to "Settings", the only option is to change the color of the board! It does however enable one to purchase Everyman Chess books, but even their store has GLITCHES! I bought Garry Kasparov on Garry Kasparov book one, but it won't let me purchase book two! I get the following error. Message: "Item you are attempting to purchase not found". Even a year later on a different phone, I still get that message!

I wish we had the ability to resize the chessboard. But in the future hopefully they will change that. I also wish we had the ability to just play through the main line by having a way to turn off the variations to focus on the main line and then come back later and look at the other variations. it's easy to forget the mainline having a mess with the variations but over all a great app with a great selection of books..

I'm so glad this is available now. I've thought for a while that Chess book publishers were missing an opportunity to exploit mobile platforms. The books available through Everyman Chess are the most up to date. There are several improvements I'd like to see, and that's the only reason for 4, instead of 5 stars. Resizable text, better navigation within the book, the ability to manually move the pieces on the board, and a chess engine for analysis, are features I'd like to see. Support is excellent, and they told me they were working on the two features I mentioned to them, so I bet it'll be 5 stars soon! Regardless, if you want to read a chess book, do it this way!

I found a bug when two consecutive pawns move to 4th rank, for example game between Rapport and Aronian at Tata 2014

I've noticed some stability issues on my motorola xoom; using this app and using the back button will cause an unexpected app crash. i'm using cyanogen mod 10. Also, in the ebook London System I noticed an illegal move with a pawn jumping over another pawn when playing through a game today; pawn on g2 jumped over a g3 pawn; the g3 pawn was supposed to go g3-g4 but instead the move went g2-g4 over the g3 pawn; replayed this a couple a of times just to make sure I was hallucinating; weird. overall i'd rate this app about a 3 just because it is so valuable that interface is nice and clean. The more I use this app the worse it is. It's c rap. Developers where are you?

The more I use this app I love it. I did notice a BUG, for example Aagaard Excel at Chess, Bronstien v Yusopov 34 f4! is incorrectly rendered, bummer. Same with Acs v Ruck 16.f4...the issue is handling double pawns. Please fix because it takes away from an otherwise great app. Suggestions would be to keep track of where you are, so when you are "flipping" between books, you can track what game you are looking at. Maybe even the move you are on? Even better would be to keep track between devices ala Kindle where I can read on the tablet when I am stationary, or on my phone standing in line at the airport... Oh, and BTW if there is anyway to get Averbach's Chess Tactics for Advanced Players on your reader, that would be awesome!, Keep up the good work!

Great idea of reading and selling chess books. The reader still need work. Ability to resize the text. Resize the chessboard, currently the board over powers the text. Ability to go to the next chapter from the current screen Allow touch to move forward or reverse Bookmark current book if I go to another book Books are over priced for electronic versions. Overall good start, improve the app and reprice your books you can have a successful revenue stream

the app is a good viewer. but it needs a lot of enhancement. I can't put a bookmark, I can't highlight or add my own notes on parts of the text. It does't remember where I stopped so everytime I have to re-open the book and the page and the paragraph I was in the last time. It needs a lot of updates to be a great reader.

1. An option to automatically choose the main line by simply tapping the "next" button again. 2. An option to skip the game info phase. It just drag the whole operation. 3. Please transfer the navigation panel upward by connecting it below the board to avoid miss tapping the Android keys at the bottom. cheers!

Great App

The reader does not work properly in my Sansung Galaxy Note. One cannot return from a chapter to the main menu. With such limitation, the reader is quite useless in the phone. UPDATE: Indeed, the reader works fine using the android back arrow. Thanks a lot! Another suggestion would be to try to separate the chessboard from the text of the book, using two independent frames, for better reading. But the app works fine.

I love it .good job
