Authenticator Plus for Android
Essentially an open source Google Authenticator adaption that allows for local and cloud backups of your 2FA enabled app codes for device migration/replacement. Quick, efficient, easy to use UI and an essential tool for custom ROM users. Worth every cent. UPDATE: Still great!
The best thing out there. The only thing holding me back from giving a 5* rating is the limited range of cloud sync providers - please add OneDrive.
Wonderful app. I like the cross compatibility and Android wear. Very quick support when I had a problem.
Awesome as I have it on 2 devices as a backup.. Don't bother with the Google authenticator as it's a total waste of time trying to back it up..
This app is a MUST have for anyone with 2FA. It syncs to GDrive or Dropbox, supports fingerprints and is easy to use.
Exactly what I needed. Well worth the money to save recreating all those 2fa tokens again.
Great app but it crashes consistently on Android Wear 2.0
A significant upgrade from Google authenticator.
Love all the customization and security. I hope to see a Windows version. Also I would like to gets emails if someone ever logins into my authenticator account on another device so I can change the password. Also it needs some tutorials explaining certain features. Like how does that backup and restore work? pros: pin/fingerprint protection android wear backup via cloud strong encryption folders cons: no desktop support needs more tutorials
Backup to drive does not work. I have emailed the dev on 2 different occasions on this issue, and the response was stop using drive. Did not even attempt to see what the issue was. Looking at the comments here I see I'm not the only one. If you purchase this app beware you will receive NO SUPPORT if there are issues. Edit- You did not reply to my last email last month you did not reply to 2 emails from this week. To say that you have is incorrect and you know it.
Works as intended but has a habit of silently stopping to sync. Which is bad since the sync feature is why I bought this app in the first place. Both Dropbox and Google Drive works, a while. Today (May 26) it hadn't synced since May 3rd. The previous time I checked the sync hadn't worked for over a year, missing several providers that I had added. There seems to be no way of forcing a sync except logging out of Google Drive or Dropbox (wich throws you back out of the settings) and then back in again (wich also throws you back out of the settings).
I would give it 6 stars if I could. so much better than google authenticatior. allow to work in multiple devices very easily, with or without sync (to the ones prefer export - import) so much flexible and saves a real hassle for cases that you have no access to your phone or if you would like to switch phones. Very responsive service as well. Thanks ! and well done
The app is great as an authenticator app. I like the fingerprint support on Nexus 5X and the overall UI. However, the backup and restore from the cloud function needs a lot of work! My phone died last week and when I tried to restore the tokens on another android phone, the list came up empty. Even worse, the app had tried to overwrite the backup on Google drive with an empty list... Fortunately, Google drive keeps old versions of files for a while such that I was able to download an old version, transfer it to my new phone and load the backup from internal storage. Far from a seamless experience though and I felt like I almost lost all my tokens!
This is the first app I recommend to Android users who have enabled 2FA on their Google account. This app puts the official Google Authenticator app to shame.
What Google Authenticator needs to be. The backup and Android Wear support along with good design and fingerprint locking is what makes this one of the best 2FA apps out there.
Best 2FA App so far. However, sync seems to be broken
Best ui, backup to google drive instead of their servers, black theme and finger id support. What more could you ask for?
Giving me wrong codes!! Authy working better.
Okay, BUT sync not working. Waste of money
Solid 2FA token app that does exactly what it advertises. Really like some of the customizations (e.g. changing the format in which the tokens are displayed).
Doesnt work with steam authenticator
Works as intended, Dropbox sync works flawlessly, nice clean interface.
Maybe the best, has backup and seems to have very good security
Awesome app. Security first.
What Google Authenticator should have been! A bit pricey at $3 but still worth it, if for no other reason than you can import your GA (if rooted) and transfer to this app running on multiple devices! Bye bye GA. GDrive sync always fails. Good the dev fixes that soon to get the 5th star. Love it so far. Icons/groups are awesome too!
Just stops backups to Google Drive and when you ask for support the response is an auto-generated email saying they won't respond if it's been raised already. How do I know?! Be careful. Don't put your trust in this App.
The best 2-step auth app I ever used. Cloud sync via Google Drive is i unfortunately hit and miss - it creates duplicate of backup file for each device. So it is more a cloud backup than cloud sync between devices - at least via Google Drive. As I own multiple Android devices and after fresh install I have to restore manually from backup as wizard-based automatic restore always fail. Every single time.
Superbly done - great for syncing between devices (includes order of accounts) Nice interface with clear icons for each service, sensibly priced, great to have full control if you want it but also balanced with convenience if you want to go down the Dropbox/Google Drive route. Android Wear support really handy. There were a few small bugs I encountered but the developer sorted them swiftly.
Works really well and a big improvement over Google's Authenticator. One niggle: you can automatically backup the database to Dropbox or Drive - but it really needs an option so that you can backup to both so that you're not reliant on just one cloud service.
Great 2FA app. Google Drive sync is iffy, at best, but this seems to be an issue with many apps, which use Google Drive. Dropbox sync has performed flawlessly for me, across multiple devices. Setup is easy. Interface is visually customizable and appealing. WELL worth the purchase price.
Loving it. The only quirk that bothers me is that it fails to sync with Drive after a while with no informative error message.
The ability to back up to Google Drive and Dropbox are nice, although it would be great to have an option for OneDrive. It would also be cool if it worked with the Android Backup Service so that your codes would automatically sync to new devices when reinstalling the app. Overall its a very good app, and worth the price.
Best 2FA I have found on the Play Store. This app is a must have for anyone serious about protecting their online data, the second step of authentication will heavily increase the security for most online services/accounts. Lads and lasses, get on board! I actually just donated because I reckon this is a wonderful app and I currently have on all my devices. Plus, the Dev deserves a coffee (or beer) for the hard work! Looking forward to future versions, keep up the good work!
Brilliant. I used to be a strong advocate for Google Authenticator but as I change phones frequently is a pain. However this app allows multiple instances and is superb. Kudos to the devs. Cheers
Does not function with AW2.0. Auth Plus Settings displays the watch as Connected, but it doesn't display on the watch as an application, does not come up in Play Store search on the watch, and there's seemingly no way to sideload the app to the watch.
Simply one of the best apps on Google Play. It works really well and haven't had a need to look at another authenticator since.
Whenever i don't have my phone around or battery's dead, Windows or chrome app could be really helpful.
My favourite, one gripe is not being able to renter the masterpass word unless you reinstall. I forget my master password often.
Best app .. i was stuck with google auth and needed a way out this is the answer and yes we can import google auth on rooted devices works flawless..

Love the app! Finally one I can backup and use on multiple devices. I love that it was able to import my Google authentictor. But for some reason my numbers have spaces in them!? And I see no option to make them solid string so copy and paste requires doctoring after paste.
