Dunedin Taxis is the taxi booking app for the Dunedin area (including Mosgiel), and service to and from Dunedin airport.
Now you can easily book a taxi based on your current GPS location or by entering in your pick up details.
Dunedin Taxis then locates the closest taxi to ensure prompt service. Using our live tracking feature you can watch your taxi arrive and receive a text message to your cell phone when your taxi is close to arrival.
You can also schedule future pick ups from any location. So you can book a taxi to take you to the airport tomorrow morning or into the Octagon this weekend. Choose from recent locations used or save your own favourites (i.e. home, work, airport, library, etc.)

Installed, read the disclaimer that the app may not actually order you a taxi and that the first indicator of this would be a taxi not showing up, so uninstalled. Seems a bit pointless, really.

Sometimes it just doesn't work, you get to the point when pick up and destination have been entered, and the pick up time, then the review page shows but there is no button visible to then confirm and actually book the taxi...so really it's pretty hopeless most of the time. Also absolutely no point in using it to book a cab ahead of time, if there are delays, the app bookings appear to be at the end of the list of ones booked...so really may as well keep phoning up.
