EasyTether Lite (w/o root)

Which is fine, it's your software. It worked ok. A little twitchy but that could be my phone or my computer. It doesn't require root, gave me access to both my wifi and my network, great! One question though, and I am really not trying to be sarcastic, for the ten dollars to get the unrestricted version, couldn't I just get a wifi dongle and not have to worry about my phone, the usb and setup? If it was cheaper, I probably would have impulse bought it.

I had some issue getting the blue tooth to stick at first but it seems to be working well for me now. I think I'll keep it.

The free version blocks certain sites but it's understandable. The setup guide was easy to follow and after looking forever for a functional one I was so excited.

Didn't work for me. I followed the instructions, got the green light in system preference (Mac) but no Internet access.

I've used the paid version for over 6 years and have never had any major problems. Highly recommended this.

Had it on my s5 then later bought the s7 and it works great and I only had to buy it once. Just keep your invoice handy. Their customers service was VERY prompt

I bought the license for 9USD and it worked great. I connected via USB. I thought the support site was helpful. I work from home and this saved me when my cable was out for two days.

Laptops wifi sucked but used this to share my phones wifi to my laptop. 5/5

I have a samsung galaxy centura with straight talk. Without rooting my phone, I have tried several other apps with no success. This one worked!! Just follow the setup carefully. I am using the free version for right now to try it out. I do not plan on trying to stream movies or anything else internet intensive....just the occasional maps, web searching, and stuff like that while I am out on the road. I will update as time goes on and I use it more. I also plan on upgrading my phone in the near future and I will try this on that phone as well and update this post.

I see comments saying it won't open website and won't work on google.. well Google is a HTTPS site and the lite version clearly says won't load any HTTPS sites. Now I think it's lame they disable that in the lite version. But I also understand they want to make money as well. I'm on AT&T and recently went back to unlimited plan and they block mobile hotspot. So I needed something to bypass that and didn't want to root my phone. I found this app and tried the lite version. Took 5 mins to setup.

I've used this app across multiple phones and with multiple devices as well. I have to say, this app is the greatest! It's usefulness has more than paid for itself, and I can comfortably work from home and surf the net with ease and eithout of my network being dropped.

Actually works my carrior offers tether but charges additional monthly fees with this app I was able to bypass carrier restrictions without rooting my Phone. in addition to working properly I also did a data test to see if the data amount used while tethering was increased and surprisingly it was exactly the same no additional data is used during the tethering process I'm very very pleased with this app would recommend over any others I've ever used

I am extremely happy I found this app, I couldn't do what I wanted with the lite version so I bought it and it is doing exactly what I needed it for. I hope nothing changes, only time will tell

I'm impressed. Be mindful of it. If u wanna test it out find sites that dont run on http. The paid version let's u go on those

if I cant open Google then what the heck is the point of the app

It actually worked!! It was a lot of steps, and I am really a dumb girl when it comes to technology, but I just followed the directions to the letter. And paid the 9.99 for the access code (otherwise you just have a trial) - and voila! I rent office space where I typically can hook up to a wifi Hotspot, but for some reason the signal has been awful lately. My phone plan doesn't allow me to tether.... It is totally worth the $10!

It is a bit wonky, in that it requires some knowledge, more than a typical user is likely to have. If you follow directions perfectly it works. If something unusual happens the software and customer support is very limited in its ability to diagnose issues.

Plz, don't hesitate to install this it's just 185kb very useful application ever, worth it.

Still going strong. Anytime I've changed phones and needed a new code, ET provides one without fail. Great customer service and an extremely useful app when you need that internet connection. Best $10 I've ever spent.

My phone cannot be rooted unless you have a real hacker to do it so thanks to all the developers for this app yall are the greatest

Please fix ASAP. The previous version was working perfect. I connected all the same way with same micro cable and the software (laptop) doesn't reconigize the phone. I am using a Samsung G4 and a Microsoft laptop. I tired reloading software on the laptop but don't want to uninstall/reinstall on the phone. I am a registered user so don't want to get a new code, Hope you figure it out soon. Thanks. I have always had this app rated at a 5. Sometimes just leave GOOD alone!

After three days its not work in my pc.

Stopped passing new connections via tether after two days of use. No verbose information options present for diagnosing the problem.
