optionsXpress for Android
I can't believe how bad it is. My experience has sucked and matches other current reviews. It times out on me and doesn't work at anytime. I don't ever recall having issues with other apps I use. That's how bad it is.
The app used to work fine, now it times out very often. It is the most frustrating thing to have this app timeout when you are trying to enter a trade when under time constraints.
With a lot of money at stake the app will just simply times out and not work costing you tens of thousands of dollars it is not as user-friendly as its competitors. The highest Commissions in the market and they can't even launch an app that is stable
App keeps crashing. It won't load options chains. Unusable! It used to work quite reliably but now is terribly buggy and slow.
They appear to have cleaned it up quite a bit, so I'm moving from 2 to 4 stars. NEEDS: ability to log in with fingerprint.
Unable to load option chains... times out or cannot process request at this time. Your name is options xpress, this needs to be fixed today!
Can place trades. But have to look elsewhere for stock charts and screening.
The newest update does not draw Bollinger Bands on charts. Please fix.
It's GREAT!
Latest version OX you should be ashamed releasing this app. It's so slow and doesn't have the required functionality that the web interface provides. I've been hanging out for this release since the previous version proved to be unusable. Thank goodness I have a web browser on my phone. On all other fronts keep up the good work and keep dropping those commissions
Most recent update does not allow me to roll options - cannot select new option (Galaxy S5)
An update a few months ago, now real time live quotes don't work. Downhill this is going.
Simple errors like not being able to buy or sell stock is now slow / crashes. Unacceptable
The new version slow and freezes up all the time.
Don't really see the point of this app if you must have a Charles Schwab account and a minimum of &10k to open one...
With the new update, I can't roll over my weekly positions. Needs to be fixed, ASAP!
Charting options are weak.
The 52 week range showing the daily range instead of the 52 weeks. The symbol column width on the watchlist page is taking too much space. Please narrow that so that we could see more column without scrolling left and right
It works, etrade is way better
Always crashing, delays in loading. New error today can't even log in. I'm amazed a company allows employees to deliver this sub par product. Other companies have no trouble.
Very poor. Always crashes. Info in details page shows up only half the time. Quotes sometimes reflect data from the previous quote. Needs a serious amount of upgrade!
OptionsXpress' trading platform generally sucks, and the mobile app is no exception. In fact, it's worse. The charts are all but useless, as they are tiny, and you can't view much with them. You can't even view option charts with them. This app is good, however, when it comes to being able to enter orders. That's useful if you need to close out a position when you're on the go. But generally, optionsXpress really needs to clean up their act when it comes to technology.
"System is not able to process the current request. Please try again." Every morning during peak futures market volume and volatility, on two different phones with different providers including Verizon. OX get your act together
Fixed! Used to open from Schwab app. No longer associated. Redirects to Google Play to open app. The trade Calc no longer works in the trade section. Please fix, was flawless.
If you plan to trade when the market is even slightly busy this app WILL freeze up on you nearly every time. I have lost and not earned thousands of dollars because of this app freezing or kicking me off during periods of high volume trade. If you plan to buy on margins, you may also lose thousands as they will frequently sell half your stock when the price falls. The fall may be as small as 3% or as large as 30%. They will and often do sell your stock without warning or permission. Use Optionshouse instead
The mobile app reliability is lacking. Key data is missing (ie 52 Week hi/low) and calculation for options profitability is incorrect (reported this several months ago and spoke to many folks that confirm the issues).
Since installing the updated app, it has frozen up on me and kicked me out of the app and the Charts section no longer automatically updates. So much for an upgrade
I wrote a review 2 years ago. Nothing's changed since then. The app is nothing special. Mediocre at best. I'll definitely be looking to trade elsewhere in 2017.
Takes forever to load (if it even loads) positions or do anything with account portfolio.
Love to know WHY you havent managed to have saved trades from the site show on the app as these saved trades are saved on your account. It really not rocket science !! Clearly not many of your employees use the app or it would of been done ages ago. Sure millions people would benefit from this being added.
I am a total novice and don't use this app to its fullest. However, in what I do use it for, it is very clean and simple.
The market is finally starting to pickup and you guys are lagging. You guys need to get your act together!!!
Garbage app. When the market is busy it just crashes on you constantly.
Pity you can't access your saved trades
With its many functionalities it allows me to follow the market and trade on the go.
Not able to perform much
Needs enhancements to screening capabilities and ability to add notes to watch list and positions list
Like it very much

Used to work. Platform update broke it. Times out on lookup. Irritating. Can't believe a major financial institution released this product and hasn't fixed it for weeks. Lost thousands because I used to be able to count on trading in the field.
