Dashclock Wireless Extension is an extension for the Dashclock Widget that displays information about the current wireless network's name and link speed.

This extension is free to use when used alone but when used simultaneously with other extensions made by this developer, a small one-time purchase is required to unlock them all.

This application is entirely open-source. If you'd like to have new features or additional languages/locales please raise an issue ticket at https://github.com/mridang/dashclock-wifiinfo or create a patch and send me a pull-request (if you're adventurous enough).

If I could choose to show my current network speeds or my network name for the home screen widget that would be awesome

U70%

Says my IP is 0.0.0.0 on wifi networks with IPv6, but generally pretty nice

it just works. great plugin for those who remove the status bar from their launcher and want to see the connection info for wifi. it would be nice to see the security and signal strength also not just the connection speed.

Like it......I wish it showed WiFi signal strength in % and IP address as well

Redundant and annoying.

I was out and it showed I was on my home network, and after I got home and was definitely connected it showed no WiFi connection. And to top it off when I looked this morning instead of showing my wireless connection there was a request for a donation to avoid further messages. That's just cheesy dev. If you want to get paid then make it a paid app, don't call it free and then display these messages.

This extension does the job, but don't like the fact I am prompted to make a donation if I have downloaded 2+ apps from the developer to unlock them. Either make them all free, or charge for each one. If they look good and do their job people don't mind paying upfront.

V70%

BEGWARE. Seriously, load two of the devs extensions and you get notifications for purchase, for an extension that you're better off buying with a full application such as System Monitor. Why doesn't the dev just bundle all of them and then charge for basically a redundant and useless extension with limited capability? Do not buy, just because the dev is shameless.

X70%
by X####:

Developer keeps declining any type of payment and all of my cards work. Needs to update quicker. When I disconnect and reconnect to WiFi it won't pop up until I turn the screen off and back on. Takes a while to update the link speed

This is telling me I have to pay because I have more than one of his dashclock extensions installed but this is the only one.

Worked great until spam messages

Good plug in, one issue on a Google Nexus 10 is that after you turn on the device, and wifi wakes up, the plug in will not pick up on the signal. You need to turn off the power button, once WiFi is established, then turn on again for the plug in to show up.... You should look at DashNet, this works properly, yours does not.... New update - still does not work properly....

X70%
by X####:

Latest update. Hasn't fixed the need to toggle the power button to enable the app to work This is only useful as an app if you keep you wireless on all the time. If like me you Mostly use mobile data then it's really annoying as you have to toggle the power switch on the nexus 4 for the widget to display the network. Fix this and I'll happily change my rating.

I can find other things to do this without being spammed. Removed.

Won't show up even in the extension list

The WiFi speed gauges might as well be random. On a 7 Mbps WiFi it says 18 Mbps, while on a 2 Mbps WiFi it says 72 Mbps.
