The app works 100%, to your phones capability. I have the equipment, I tested the app. It is Well explained. If you even have a small grasp on the English language you should have no trouble with comprehension. On the other hand I see less than a five star rating. That truely shows much ignorance. I was looking at a property near high tension towers, but couldn't find a reasonably priced EMF meter locally. I was trying to find a Ghost Meter online and found this app. I cannot attest to the accuracy of the readings themselves but it consistently measured the same spikes over baseline when exposed to the same magnet or a poorly shielded light switch. I will use this on paranormal investigations as well. It seeems to be very sensitive. Great app!

I saw most of u give them 5star. But they did not deserve a single star. It never detect electro magnetic field. Listen carefully I will prove this. This app gives u result by your phone microphone. Ok now go near your sound box or a noisy place then u can see your magnetic reading is going higher. It never read the magnetic field it catch only sound. Total waste of time and data too. Thanks

It works. Reading a lensatic compass sucks with magnetic fields all around so this helps me detect them so I can get an accurate reading. It's awesome that my phone (old note 3) is equipped to utilize this app. If you're phone is not equipped don't bother.

I'm not sure how it does it, but it is able to identify electrical energy. I don't know of its accuracy in scientific readings but it definitely can find active energy flow. Use the app near the wiring for the electric meter and the needle goes crazy! I've used it to locate electrical wiring inside walls. And naysayers might naysay, but there have been times when the app detected or read increases in EMF energy in various parts of the house when it seemed something (or someone) was there. Cool App!!

I haven't tried it yet; I'm still downloading it. I just wanted to say to Aaron Bender: What do you think the magnetometer in your phone does?! How do you think compass apps work, or the GPS on your Google map app works? You're the idiot and you don't even know how the components in your phone (or phones that have magnetometers in them) work. Don't be calling everyone else idiots just because you're ignorant or uneducated. You might try some really helpful apps called Wikipedia, dictionaries, etc. Geeze.

The app is OK for the purpose I downloaded it for. I'm not a ghost hunter. I do believe in their existence though. But I needed the app to check my house for hidden listening devices. We have located one so far but sure their are others we haven't found yet. It did a good job for locating the one we have found. Hoping to get the rest soon.

Does exactly what it says in the description. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get any spooky results, but that's not the apps fault. I tested using various electronics and even a magnet. All of those things netted results. It wasn't just randomly going off to excite the user, it's an actual tool.

Great app! Works better than a cheap one I own. Anyone who gives this a bad review either can't or didn't read the description. If it doesn't work, it means either your phone does not contain the necessary components, said components are faulty or damaged. I am amazed how stupid some people are. They download an app and do not read anything provided about it. If they did, they would know why it didn't work. Unfortunately, there's no app that fixes stupidity. Too bad. Many desperately need one.

I don't know if this thing does what it says or is just a bunch of hooey but it did what I needed! My 8 year old is terrified of ghosts and installing this helped assure her that our house is ghost free!!!

Just put it near a speaker or tv and u will see the reading shoot up!! Not sure if u can detect ghosts but it does detect the slighest change in magnetic field and that is what so called ghost hunters use, so ya never know.......

First things first, im not a loony looking for ghosts. I downloaded this app to look for electrical wiring in my walls. It is able to detect magnetic fields but on my phone, the current flowing through it had to be more than 2A to get a significant reading. Which means it isnt very practical to use as a wire detector - which i know is not its main use. FYI, permanent magnets gave really high readings.

At first, I thought it was just a lame prank. However, yesterday I heard a noise at my backyard and I went to investigate. I brought my phone too. It detected something and the reading was MAX! It was so creepy!! b̰̃ḛ̃s̰̃t̰̃ ã̰p̰̃p̰̃ ḛ̃ṽ̰ḛ̃r̰̃!

Thank you for developing this because it shows that there truly is an app for everything only limited by your own phones capability. In my case the Samsung S6 works well. I inadvertently had my phone near my cordless stick vacuum (Electrolux Ultra Power) and it located the strongest electromagnetic field pointing towards the motor. Very interesting tool with much more use I'm sure.

I'm no scientist, but it seems to work just as described. I can read the strength of electromagnetic fields from my printer, my refrigerator, magnets...Lots of things!

The only critique I have is if you were able to keep the screen always on while the app is open. You can change the settings on your device to do the same, but need to change it back once you are done using. If there was that same option in the app setting, definitely would be 5 star.

Love the classic reader, simple to use and is accurate. Now that I've tested my house I'm curious if my homes emf's are in the safe level (0.42-0.69range). Thanks!

I know I have activity here. One reading was 120, when I said get out of my bedroom it went down to 38. It went up to 340 when I last put I on.

I like the app so far, it really works went outside and it picked up the magnetic field a lot, I rate 5 thanks I am a science enthusiast..

I was trying to use it for emf reading of my flat as I have had strange kind of headache since I moved in and I noticed that the reading is high when it gets close to metal and even magnets. Not sure abt ghost hunt tho....

I started playing with this app and just got normal readings around my house but when I got to my bed the top is normal and under the bed is normal but the box spring is high like in the 200 range. I think I need a new box spring.

Very accurate. Has different ways of reading from simple readings to high tech. Definitely download this app. I have tried others which were deleted faster than you can say EMF. This one is a keeper!!

I thought it was a fake number generator with lights, it is not, I took it to a DP&L substation, stood by the fence and the orange, third light over, came on and stayed on solid.

It lights up yellow when it's around me, but when I point it somewhere else or hold it away from me, the readings go down...

Tested it against a proper emf meter and it's nowhere close. My fridge gives off 25 milligaus yet this won't pick it up

Worked great with my phone.It's a simple version of a complex tool but I did a side by side comparison and found it to be a competent version. It's a good app to have if you are someone like myself whose always on the paranormal lookout. It's easier than walking around with equipment in my purse.

We tested it by placing it next to a speaker (super magnet) and it shot up to the thousands.....so before you hate or knock it for being fake....it's real...

I found a location in my room with an average of 97 and 107. The creepy thing is that the location right beside me on my bed.

I would like to know what a normal enviroment reads at. This app looks handy in detecting the hardware the aliens put in my body.... maybe it was MIB, not really sure...

The developer actually uploads periodic necessary changes and bug fixes, nothing else! No ridiculous constant changes that are totally unnecessary, perfect!!

Just downloaded it last night and it is what it is, it detects magnetic fields, so its a legit tool. Now the ghost stuff...I'm really not a believer, I wanna be so maybe this app will help me believe what so many of you do.
