What is this:
This APP can help you to create or remove a file called .nomedia in a
folder contains media files easily. So what is a .nomedia file?If a folder
contains a .nomedia file, then the android system MediaStore will not scan
it for media files, so that Gallery(and other media APP based on MediaStore) will NOT load the media files from it.
If the Gallery, Play Music in your android devices always load some
pictures, videos or audios which you do think are redundant, then this
APP may be what you need.

The main purpose of this app is let the junk media files(which we do think) don't show in some APP(such as the Gallery, Play Music) based on MediaStore. It is not a tool to hide files and protect your privacy, as files may be show in file manager APP.
How to use:
1. The application will scan picture, video, audio files from the MediaStore and file system, and then classifys them by folder.
2. When a folder is set to "ON," means that media files in this folder will not be scanned by MediaStore, otherwise will be scanned.
3. In the list view, click the folder preview to view folder detail.
4. In the grid view, click the file preview can play the media file.

The app will not write to the external SD card of my Galaxy S7. This is a security feature of the operating system, and there is no option setting in the app to allow the device to approve the app for the permissions to write to the external SD card. The app does work when the folders are physically on the device's memory. But that's not what the app description says. Gallery will still show garbage if media is stored on the external SD card. Which is why we all use the cards to begin with. Until this is fixed (if at all) I will keep my score as 1 star.

Use a PC or any file explorer that can view hidden files to manually copy the created .nomedia file to your specified folder in the SD card.

App works as intended for folders on internal storage however this app has no sd card write privileges so can't set nomedia for folders on the sd card.

Simple and nice just thw concept of it made it cant be use or open by other apps than gallery too.. becoz my options is to avoid face up at gallery moment while I wanted to make it as video editing footage.. hundreds files of it..

The app present you with a list of directories. My gallery wasn't even included. There is no way to navigate and select additional directories, no way to select anything other than what the app presents you. Pretty much useless.

On marshmallow on a Samsung device, it won't allow editing of files on the SD card and there's no option to enable it. Thus this only works for files on the phone, which means this program doesn't do what it says it does as the gallery reads automatically from the SD card.
