Movn Activity Sit Pedometer for Android
I like that it tells me to get up and move
I would like smaller movement reminders, say down to 10 15 minutes.
Please use Android Wear sensor. I don't always want to carry my phone.
Activity app
Brilliant app. Helps me stay active!
Barelly works
I'd like the option to hide the status bar notification.
This app is great, my main reason for downloading it was to remind me to get up and move when sitting in the office. However it always has its logo in the notification bar and for that reason I can't give it 5 stars. Really annoying to have it there all the time
Great idea, but having used it for a few days I'm not sure about the accuracy. I went for a good 50min walk and it only logged 15 min, my partners logged 40min which is closer but still off. Think it tracks bits of my car journeys too? I like the concept, the design and it's really simple to use but think it needs some work on accuracy.
I like how the app reminds me when I have been inactive for too long. The activity tracking works for me without any issues. The persistent notification is mildly annoying, as noted by many others.
I was doing my housework and was walking to and fro inside my house but it still counts as sitting.
The current day data is good but the previous day's does not get saved. It used to save eye previous day - but after I have been using movn for two weeks the previous day's data was reset to zero.
The reminder to move after a certain amount of inactivity is great and the interface is very easy to use. More than once, though, it has indicated that I hadn't moved for quite a while immediately after doing something that should qualify as moving in my mind, such as going out and playing fetch with the dog, or carrying laundry down and starting a load. It does catch bigger things, like taking a walk or exercise class, so it makes me wonder what the threshold is.
Great concept but I don't see anywhere to set up when I want it working and when I don't so presumably I need to remember to turn it on and off each day for sleep. Also my phone's vibrate is really lame so I don't feel it most times. It needs an option to add sound. Also agree with everyone else that having the icon at the top all the time is a drag.
It really is a great app. My only gripe is that I cannot get rid of the Status Bar Alert on my Note 4.
A handy and useful monitor which regulates my activity effectively spread over the day and in the process cuts down drastically on my inactive state thus enhancing briskness manifold
Get rid of the persistent bar alert. It can pop up, but it should sit there. I'm considering deleting it for that reason. Everything else is great.
It's a great, simple app...easy to use and very helpful.
I like this giving me reminders when I have been sitting around too long at the office, but the actual activity time is not accurate. Many times when commuting to work, I will be on the freeway for a while, hit my exit, and get a congratulations for being active 20 minutes. So, this still does the one thing nothing else in does, and gives me inactivity reminders, and I'll use Google Fit to track my actual steps.
Brilliant app. Helps me stay active!
I wanted an app that would both track my steps and time spent active (with notifications to be active when I've been sitting too long). This fits that well.
Requires access to my contact list, as well a creating a login. Neither should be necessary for such a simple app and is honestly kind of creepy.
I need the reminder - it's the next best thing to remember myself.
Helpful tool to remind me to get up and move. Might be nice to see breakdown of when moved. Interesting that tool sometimes registers movement when driving.
Great, simple inactivity timer for desk jockeys
Easy way to increase walking
working good for me
I like
Nice
Very good
1. The permanent notification is unnecessary and distracting. Please remove this feature. 2. The inactivity alert function doesn't always alert me on my Moto 360 watch, even though that option was selected in settings. 3. The app really should be able to pull motion data directly from any android wearable without having to carry around the phone all day. 4. Give up all of my contact info? I gave in to this request because I really wanted an inactivity alarm, but this app has not been worth it. 5. Google Fit started crashing after I installed this app. Not sure if related.
Still needs a lot of work on the accuracy of using sensors, but otherwise a useful app for people who are engrossed with their desk jobs everyday and don't move around much.
1. The permanent notification is unnecessary and distracting. Please remove this feature. 2. The inactivity alert function seems to need to be reset after every notification, and only once has it alerted me on my Moto 360 watch, even though that option was selected in settings. I have tried reinstalling, and restarting both my watch and phone.
App works!
Samsung S4
Ever since the update this week, my daily activity is not being saved by Movn & the 7 day history is also not working!!!
Since the new update the records and the activity profile have stopped showing data. Please fix.
Brilliant app. Helps me stay active!
I am enjoying this app. My only gripe is that I wish the activity meter would read my inputs from my smart watch. Rather than always having to have the phone in my pocket.

I find it works maybe 70% of the time. When it works, it is really cool. Sometimes, the stand up alarm goes off when I have been standing in the kitchen. But, it is because I have been standing mostly in one place for a while perhaps. If I sit on the couch too long, it works almost every time. It seems to help it, like they say in the directions, try to keep it in your pocket. Overall, they really have something. As far as I know, there is no purely phone based sitting alert app out there.
