Motor Sport magazine for Android
Much improved reading experience. I like being able to read some of the archive material in the app. My only gripe is having archived the latest news, when I open latest news after an alert all the old news is downloaded again.
Very unstable
F1 insight without equal
Access to latest F1 leads to Archive only, expert comment and stories on current f1 races etc not available. Not good enough, have been MS suscriber for years but this year online ...not accessible. Not interested in Archive which is the only thing available to me online
Finally, after 5 months, an app that works on my trusty 5 year old tablet. I'm very happy, although still not impressed with the unhelpful helpdesk from 4 months back who told me to buy a new tablet. I did that, a cheap one just to read Motorsport mag...don't need it now....I am happy the powers that be finally saw sense and ditched the old developers.
Beter than the previous version, which was almost unusable, but still buggy. I can't even download the November issue though I've paid for it. Had to cancel my digital subscription which is a shame as I love the magazine.
If I minimise it to open another app, when I go back to motorsport it goes to the splash screen. This is very annoying if I'm in the middle of an article which I then have to find again.
I keep coming back to this in the hope that it's been significantly improved, but I'm always disappointed. The latest update doesn't improve the reading experience. Having failed to develop a reading app for the mag, it now simply hands off to a pdf reader. All you get is an image of the print edition plus some videos, and even the largest text size is too small unless your eyesight is very good. What's needed is a Kindle like experience
Keeps crashing, unreliable .. can i have the old one back?
No way to turn off notifications
The app refuses to open and crashes instantly. Not the sort of quality you expect from this magazine. If the developer got paid for this work, I would demand a refund. Out of 6 downloads so far, 3 reviewers have stated the app doesn't work. It can't have been tested very well. Mine is a Hudl 2 Android tablet. EDIT.... As of 5th Nov, a fix seems to have done. It opens now but seems slow at the moment. A step in the right direction at least.
Nexus 6 owner and very very long time fan of this magazine. Cannot now download issues at all and with a year still to run on my digital bundle subscription, I will be asking for a refund soon if there's no progress. Works OK on pc desktop but that's missing the point. Downloads are also excruciatingly slow and then cut out.
Application error when trying to open the latest issue. Uninstalled and re-downloaded, still not working. Android 5.1 on Moto X 2014 EDIT 05.11.15 Update has fixed it, I can now read it on the go! Miles better than the old app, hopefully the worst of the teething issues are sorted now. Thanks!
Until recent update 4/11/15 all was fine. Wouldn't open at all due to "missing application file". Uninstalled & re-installed, now it opens but won't download most recent issue of magazine. Gets to 80% stops and Download button reapoears but won't do anything. Not good.
Initial problems with recent update, but all fine now. Ace.
App didn't over write old app. Uninstalled both, reinstalled new, and now it can't reach server and I can't access my magazines. Usually I'm very impressed with the MS app and updates. Update 4/11, still not working. Was told by info email help desk to uninstall and try again. Did that, no change, no impression that problem was actually investigated. Still disappointed
Would be great if it actually opened, attempted to download several times only to be told " Motor Sport Magazine has stopped working". Very disappointing
Disaster darling. Why go and ruin something that works already. Even this is hard work! From my iPad
It's nice to able to use this app on my phone as well as my tablet.

What happened to recent news? The old format had properly titled news stories. The new format is a guess what's inside by the cover. Older news now seems to be removed at a much faster pace. These changes are nonsensical and irritating.
