Droid Zap by Motorola for Android
On your phone goto SETTINGS. Click on APPS Slide over to ALL Scroll down to DROID ZAP Click & open DROID ZAP Click on CLEAR DATA Click on FORCE STOP Un-check SHOW NOTIFICATIONS Click DISABLE Now that app is no longer using vital storage space... It's as easy as that and if you want the app to be restored, move from ALL to DISABLED and just click on the app that you want to reinstall and then click Enable and once again that app will come back and take up storage space.
The app won't install, error 505 bs. It's the only app I have troubles with even after yesterday's software update 24.14.16
I had Zap and used it regularly to share pics with the family. Absolutely loved it. Came pre-installed on my Droid Turbo 2. The last update removed it and now the download fails. Way to go!
After latest software update to Marshmallow, this app no longer works. I sent an email to Motorola about this and they didn't even care to respond. Maybe Motorola is no longer the company for me.Update, Google play connected me to Motorola's Technical Support who said they'd call back. It has been 3 days, no call.
Was pre-installed, but unable to find since updating. When tried to install keep getting error code 505. Please fix. If no longer compatible then please indicate
Says it's the wrong four digit code every time every zap on the Samsung Galaxy tab s will give more stars when it works
Continuously giving this error. Unable to connect this time. Try again later.
Cannot download to my Turbo 2. Sad since all my family members have Motorola phones.
Not useful, don't need a default app to share pictures...
Its useless app I wanna get rid of this app but its reinstalled again.
When I want an app on my phone I'll put it there but to not let me take it off what bullshit
Shtup About Bloatware. Everyone complaining about bloatware is an idiot.
Keeps crashing on Galaxy S7. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still crashed.
Bloatware, yet another app you can't remove
Don't know how to get rid of this app
This app is nice for quickly sharing pictures or short videos between mine and my wife's phones. However, it does not work on my brand new Samsung Galaxy A tablet. I'm trying to zap some of my phone pictures to the tablet, and the tablet always reports I've entered the wrong PIN, even though I have entered it exactly. And it makes no sense because it worked 4 days ago, then suddenly stopped and hasn't worked since.
Not only useless, but it is impossible to get rid of it. I've uninstalled updates, emptied the caches, deactivated notifications, etc. and within hours, it re-updates and fully re-installs. Pernicious
I don't know how this app. On my phone but I haven't been able to figure out how to remove it yet
I didn't even know you could just download a taser! Hell yeah! Why just the other day a couple of Chinese from the Pinyin part of Google tried to steal my pipe and so I zapped 'em straight back to the railroad with this here app.
Everyone complaining about bloatware is an idiot. All manufacturers put extra software on your phone that you cannot delete, all of them. Even Google puts bloatware on the Nexus. Why pre-install a camera app or Web browser? That's considered bloatware if it is not the application you prefer to use. This app is a great tool for low security picture sharing. This is like Bump or other apps. NFC and WiFi direct have to be turned on, this software adds an on demand function that doesn't use much battery.
Works great! My hubby and son all send each other pictures.
Loved zap but after getting a new phone, I keep getting an error that it can't connect. It's been weeks. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, phone is up to date. I can't find answers anywhere to fix it either. So bummed because this is a 5star app when it worked for me
I had Zap and used it regularly to share pics with the family. Absolutely loved it. Came pre-installed on my Droid Turbo 2. The last update removed it and now the download fails. Way to go!
Totally addicted. Clean Material UI. No problems so far. Fun for family or close friends!
Requires location, extreme privacy issues. Stay away.
I personally don't need to share all photos or others stuff. If I have I am very sorry for it. I thought I had deactivated it. Who slings anything a 1000 ft away?
Another Ap that is unwanted, unneeded and reinstalled automatically after it had manually been uninstalled.
Motorola responded to one person saying they could disable. However, when u disable the app through settings it asks you if you want to replace with factory version? There's just no way around all the BS apps we don't use. Not to mention they take up a lot of space. How aggravating!!!!! Ugh
Don't make me download this crap I never axed for
Totally love zapping pictures to my family, best thing ever.
Can't add husbands phone
About the ramifications of this app if someone wanted to get info off your phone this would be it undercover cops other friends trying to steal phone numbers or just hackers trying to get personal info this would be the way into your phone
Had it since it came out. Got the droid turbo 2 and can not install it. Installed fine on wife's Galaxy S6. You would think a Motorola app could be installed on a Motorola phone. Fix it and I will install it.
Sends picture to mutple people at the same time
Says it's the wrong four digit code every time every zap on the Samsung Galaxy tab s will give more stars when it works
This is so fast and easy. Way better than any other photo sharing app.
Love this, would be better if you could select more than one picture at a time.
Does not work
Can't send, won't receive.

If you don't have a use for an app it doesn't mean it's a bad one! This is a clever idea to be able to exchange photos between two person or a group of people, next to each other, right on the spot! It's the simple version of sending photos through messaging or email, but in a much faster way!
