Voice recognition used to be great for outbound calls. With the last release, it doesn't recognize my contacts through voice. I have to manually select the contact to call and then it registers and through Bluetooth. What's the point? Also voice texts dont come through car bluetooth. They play through phone even when connected to the car. If they get these are things working properly again it goes to 5*.

The so works okay. It had some interesting concepts like telling the wife that I made it home. Or speaking to me when a call comes in handy when I am driving so I don't have to look to see who it is that is calling. Also does the same at home if you want. Good app all-round.

It is not able to take the call even after the saying "answer" and it detects the voice and says it is taking the call, but after that nothing happens.. :( Developers please help.. Also like to mention that after updating google, the software is misbehaving and might getting clash. Kindly help.

Most annoying app. I use the moto assist to task manage my phone when I'm in class or sleeping and it works fine without this app. But I am forever being spammed to enable and update this app. Yes you can disable it. Go to your app manager in settings. Uninstall updates. Clear cashe and data. Force stop and disable.

Okay, some apps get updates. Cool. ___ Meanwhile... THE NOTIFICATION LED NO LONGER WORKS ON NEW MOTOROLA PHONES.... a simple OTA update would make the LED work as it was working on earlier phones. ___ Now, Motorola says ROOT YOUR PHONE to get the LED functional. If we root, we LOOSE THE WARRANTY !!! ...it is better if we buy from competitors ! ___ #IwantMotoLED

Everyday there's a new download which takes up more space on my already dwindling storage capacity. And if you don't download the 'update' you loose all your online accessability. This stuff is so stupid and whoever is in charge back there in Google should be fired for stupidity and too many constant updates.

I really like this app. I don't have to use my hands and I can either answer or say cancel. It will still tell who is calling you when you are home from driving. It sure beats having to use your hands and run the risk of a wreck.

And it needs them badly. "OK Google Now - location ON/OFF" and "OK Google Now - Display BRIGHTER". When out in the sun, the dim display is too dim to see the setting to brighten it. Same with LOCATION and one can't go thru the day with location on or you won't have a battery by noon. You usually discover you need it when driving. "OK Google - add these commands please" - to your otherwise absolutely terrific app.

I had trouble. Ask the techs. Things seem to be working on now. If I could get signed in with my real name not splitting it would be great. Don't target me in a social media because I'm me. My views may be different. Praise God that's what makes us real.

On my old droid RAZR there was a motto app that knew when I was in meetings and would either silence the phone or put it on vibrate that the was the best feature, but isn't in this new version. The driving mode is convenient though. I don't see much use for the home mode though, but I may just not get it. The touchless controls are awesome though.

Difficult for Senior like --me (after installing key pad and simple touch key items would not communicate with each other on device) I had to call customer service for a new phone

The app will tell me who's calling or texting but when it asks if I want to answer no matter if I say yes or no, it tells me "sorry, I'm having trouble, let's talk later". I have never once got it to work. I have to return the call or text manually. And all of a sudden now when I get a phone call, I get a message saying "contacts has stopped working". I think the app would be great if I could get it to work properly.

I donts no wat dis apps do but I sho don't likes it fro sho .... My mamadukes says cuz I'm dummy I knose I aints brite but I ams tryn .

In home mode it can't receive the calls even if i say answer.. Thats the only glitch. Please fix it..

Because of my disability it can b difficult for me to get to my phone... This app makes things so much easier! Also in the past I have fallen and not been able to answer my phone, this way no matter what my husband knows if I'm OK or not!

Doesn't announce callers. Doesn't understand my words. Comes on and shuts right off. I replaced my phone with the same model that broke when I dropped it. App worked perfectly on that phone. Notsomuch on this one. Thanks for reading.

It's an important service; however, it picks up every other sound in the room including voices, electronics, and even street noise! Perhaps a little more discernment for the voice on the line and less for 'everything else'.

When will you have the option to where I can wave my hand over the phone to silence a call for MotoX? You mentioned it before, but I have yet to see it work

It is also a huge way to create a comical road trip... My sisters and I took a road trip and they found out I had this... They would not stop texting silly text just so the lovely lady would read them out loud... We literally laughed for the last 3 hours of our trip... AWESOME!

I' m from Portugal and I've bought my phone cause it would havê a lollipop upgrade guaranteed. Unfortunately it already pasted out half a year and still no update. This is like a discrimination, almost everybody as lollipop now, and here, we still don't have a clew. At least, give us an accurate date on when we are going to get it, and not the same ambiguous answer like its almost there!

When I'm riding with someone else, it comes back on after I've turned it off. I've put it in sleep mode and selected preferences and I've missed very important calls.

Like the title says. I despise any software that 'updates' without your prior permission and I especially despise any software that demands you accept total compliance to let it do what it wants or you can't have it. What happened to the rights of the individual? Are we not allowed to have a smartphone without the crap that 'must' be accepted?

When I first got this app, it worked great. Now!! It interferes with my radio in my car & if GPS is on it interferes with that. When a new message comes in when I'm driving the voice is really low & doesn't work right. Not happy at all. And I don't know how to fix these problems. It worked much better b4 the recent update.

Sometimes when the voice asked me if I want to send text/ignore phone call/read text and I respond it doesn't always work. Which is distracting me from driving and dangerous. Technology isn't perfect though so I understand when tech stuff doesn't work because it happens a lot. But if you're going to provide a service and have it permanently installed on a device at least make sure it works.

I love the home mode as it allows you to keep your phone away on charing or just on your bed and it will read out messages for you. Reply for you with a customized message and yupp it answers calls too. It could be better if Motorola launches a voice recognition tutorial or something as different people have different accent. I am a guy so girls voice is nice. Don't know about the girls using moto e g or x

Most of these comments prove no one knows what this does. There is no way to customize this. I disabled it but still get notifications that an update is "required". How about NO?

I got the moto g xt1032, I already updated all apps from play store and Motorola Update Service, but when I check for updates in settings, it says "Your Device's Software is up to date" 7n7

It's a good app and I'm Kinda like. Yet still there's something not working properly. Talk to Me crashes when a new message comes in Home mode on my up-to-date moto g 2nd gen. It happens after voice notifications as "say listen".

The speech activated app for incoming text is good but any out going message verbally stated requires close proximity pickup otherwise this function mistranslates. Therefore only gets 4 star. As it is illegal to hold phone whilst driving, this function is better performed whilst stationary which defeats the idea in 1st place. Have a verbal play back mode before sending and better audio pickup from hands free kit would be a better improvement.

Other modes are working fine. Sometimes even home modes get activated while charging. Please allow to put manually phone in home mode. It is helpful when you are at your second home, which phone do not detects.

Till date My Assist haven't been activated.So how should it can be use plzz help me.

Sometimes it has trouble replying to a text with what I want it to say. Sometimes funny, sometimes not. Otherwise I love it.

Its the only way to get your other Moto apps to work properly, and besides, the Moto apps are pretty awesome.

I did not install this on my phone. Is there any way to disable it? The driving mode comes on every time I start my car and is making me crazy. I have to manually go in and turn it off.

I use it all the time. I like having a choice to answer or ignore calls by voice and listen to texts and reply by voice. I like that I'm able to reply to a text with an actual reply without just sending a pre written text.

Can't nt there b a provision that drive assist gets activated whenever bluetooth headphone is connected irrespective of gps being off? And also it should speak in the headset. Makes sense right? Moreover, lumia phone's entry level handsets also have this feature; msgs, calls, mails all start playing in bluetooth headset whenever connectedl. So it surely can be given here. Cheers

The voice recognition could use help along with suspending other apps when multiple texts come in when driving. I hope the update helps with this. As for the grumblers about the amount of permissions, find out what the app does and you'll see it's need for those permissions. If you don't like it, don't update and turn it off.

There is more scope for improvement, there should be more criteria's like i go to school, so there could be 'at school' mode where the battery consumption is minimized because often when the phone is locked it tends to lose battery so something like that could be of real help.

I love the driving mode. I would like to be able to choose vibrate on the sleep mode. I have to manually change it every night. It may be because of another app I have, but if not, that would be a nice addition.

AWESOME APP!!! Works so smoothly & is such a life-saver at times. No complaints whatsoever! Thanks Motorola for adding Drive & Home on the Moto G =D
