Motorola Update Services

I bought moto e 1 gen last year because moto promised that it will get lollipop updates, but it is just fooling us since last year. In November,2014 moto said that they are soak testing testing and update will be released within a month. Since then it has been above 8 months and no updates yet. It is my last moto phone. Better buy xiaomi,yu or any other phone

I have the moto x 1060 (2013)and I am still running KitKat. I am very frustrated because other moto x 1st generation phones have gotten lollipop. One of the buying points of the phone was fast upgrades, except I don't know now where they have been.

I keep reading all these complaints about how your not getting your update. Lol, if you have been keeping up with articles about the lollipop update for Moto, you would know that it's not ready yet. Stop complaining, and be patient! A couple more weeks and we get it!

That was your flagship compared to the cheaper versions called moto e and g. Why hasn't it gotten lollipop if it was the better of the phones. Moto x was promised with unlimited updates. Motorola just lost a customer because of this.

Guys am using moto e1st gen.there is no lollipop update till now. No one imagine that you will get lollipop update.there is one way to get lollipop . by it from shop.or root your phone and installed custom rom.moto will not give us what we need. Moto has been take over by lenovo

Hating Motorola! Do you really care for your customers? Flagship Cellphone not receiving 5.1? Still if provided now.. Wouldn't it be too late? Are you guys really serious about the huge Indian cellphone Market? Do you really care to reply to the customers about the delay atleast?

Dear Motorola, 5 stars for giving me my 5.1 update for my 1st gen moto x (xt1052). Thank you, i know it has been a long wait, I finally got it, not experiencing any problems. :)

Apparently nobody knows how this works. All this does is prepare your phone for the next update, not update your phone right when you update the app. This just tells your phone if there is an update and then it deals with it accordingly. Stop bitching when you are too dumb to think.

Tired of waiting for lollipop.. :( I know you're working on it, but it's been so long, when i started to dream about using android 5.* on my phone .

Front glass got shattered, you said it's gonna cost me another Moto G2 to fix it.. A year later I fixed it on my own, with less than half of what you demanded.. & didn't even get a lollipop as a reward!! Is this how you treat your loyal customers, eh Motorola??

Few minutes ago it was showing lollipop update notification.But due to storage problem could not be installed. But now after emptying the storage, it is no longer showing the update notiification. And on the software update page it shows jellybean, and says your software is up to date.Please resolve the issue.

When ur gonna give 5.1 update?? Its been long you released the news of getting update on Moto E 1st gen but still nobody have it. Stop cheating people moto. Good for u tht there ain't any 0 star coz u deserve that only.

I bought my moto x because it was supposed to be among the first to get updates, yet Android L has been pushed back time and time again. I was really wanting to get the moto x pure edition this fall, but maybe it's time to switch to a brand that follows through on what it says. Don't market features you can't back up.

Updating this app for last 3 month but thr is no update about Android lollipop. Why so? U guys told me you r going to relase the update as soon as possible,when exactly you r going to do that, I wonder.

My moto e 1st generation did not get even lollipop 5.0 till now. There are coming news for 5.1 update for moto e. I think these news are spreaded by rumours. I am consistently updating the app. Updating of this app is waste.

So many ppl are getting mad because their moto e doesn't have lollipop yet, while a former flagship moto x (1st gen) still doesn't have it. Guys try to understand their is always a reason.

If testing an OS takes a whole year... then Motorola should shut their company or change their team... no excuse... Don't forget we have other better options also... Don't act like a Monopolist :/

I've had this app on my Moto G 4gLTE 1st gen., for almost a year now. Taking up valuable resources, and a constant reminder that a Lollipop upgrade is on it's way. Sadly still no upgrade is available. Thinking about uninstalling it, to remove the source of false hope.

Guys, remember that your cell service provider has a lot to do with when you receive your update. Google and Motorola have done their part. Go complain to AT&T etc...

When all the other companies are updating their phones to Lollipop, Motorola updates the Motorola Update Services !! Kinda funny !! And they call it a flagship mobile. Way to go!! Moto X might be getting updated to Lollipop when all other companies start updating their phones to Android M. Should I call myself lucky to have bought Motorola ?

I know Motorola is trying to keep its customer out of trouble...they came to know that there are bugs in soak test version of lollipop, they are trying to rectify those errors and roll out a proper and safe version ASAP... But it is taking long time... So pls keep calm guys ...we r gonna get a safe version ..y so hurry? There is not much change in system ..its just a material design update.. I'm not in hurry to get lollipop...coz I'm happy with KitKat 4.4 on my moto e. .

Don't fall for moto advertising priority updates n android support. It's only false advertising by moto about updates. It's not come yet n given moto's reputation jt may never come. May be next they will promise android 6 update directly.

Rating given has nothing to do with app performance. But how long moto e 1st gen user in India have to wait for lollipop. It was provided much earlier to moto g 1st gen users. I understand that 5.1 is announced but its been a month since announcement. Please make it fast.

This is meant to prepare your phone for Lollipop. Not give you Lollipop as soon as you have the thought of wanting it. Motorola doesn't control the updates. Google does. Google sends the updates out in random batches. It isn't Motorola, or LG, or HTC's fault if their phones haven't gotten Lollipop. Sorry. You'll just have to live with the fact that apparently, despite popular belief, some corporations don't know and don't control everything.

Y I ain't getting any updates on my phone.... This is not fair as we have waited patiently for this moment n now it say"ur KitKat system is up to date"...we don't want KitKat now....can't this app fix dis problem....u have already published that we got d services of long awaited lollipop... I got update for Lollipop and I tried downloading it. But there was not enough memory. I have cleared some memory and made 1 GB space available to download the update. Now I am trying to check for update but it says "YOUR DEVICE'S SOFTWARE IS UP TO DATE." This is pathetic. I don't know what's wrong with the update.

I have a Moto G (1st gen) xt1032. After waiting months to finally be able to download this to my device, I still have not received an update. I have tried via system update and Motorola Device Manager with no success. It says "Device is up to date or N/A" Im on kit kat 4.4.4. What gives Motorola? 7/29/15 still no update. wtf?

For weeks I have read complaints about the slow lollipop update and have thought 'give them some time, they have probably just hit a glitch ' but now I have finally lost patience. What is most annoying though is that we have heard barely anything from motorola who haven't explained what is going on. At least communicate with your customers! Ironic that a phone company doesn't communicate at all with customers

Very poor management from moto. Before 3 month said that was we are rollout update .I think If you not updating then give us date at least so can't wait for updates. I think moto team going by walking to give update. Now coming US To India by walk so more 2 month needed for reach here. Thanks for this kind of poor service..

You should really expand the lollipop update to all of your different gens & phones. I've been waiting for quite a while now and I'm starting to get disappointed because I have a feeling that I will not get the update chance. If you want to get more customers listen to their reviews.

I have moto g 1st gen with kitkat. When i had last version of this app, it kept offering me update to android lollipop. Since i updated this app it doesn't offer me update anymore. Even when i hit system update in about phone settings, it says: "your device's software is up to date".

Hello friends don't waste time to wait lollipop update, our moto e updated to lollipop when all world move on android M update. That is the marketing strategy of all mobile company never release update till there pocket is full of money.

No update till now on my moto e 1st gen how much more we have to wait and you all are showing that update has already been rolled out on official update page of Motorola .this is really disgusting

Waiting for 5.1 update for moto x 2013 in India...doing system update check daily but no luck..we could have choosen nexus, thought it would be comparable with nexus with respect to updates, not a great phone moto x 2013

I know it's not faulty but i will give it poor rating to show some disrespect to Motorola. Within one year they released the second gen which is now much cheaper than the base price of moto e first gen and look at it's configuration, way better than the first gen and now Motorola is doing some business and not updating the first gen though the second one got lollipop 5.1.1 so there is no point to stick with this fu₹king company, i can assure users that it will do the same with Android M on the second gen...

The Verizon Prepaid Moto G 1st gen gets the services app update. Now I hope we can get our hands on Lollipop. I'll keep myself posted till then. I can't wait.
