i really like my moto G gen 1 phone.. i upgraded with moto G play ... i didn't like the camera much, as it has more MP still i feel quality is not up to the mark... auto focus function sucks.. it just blur a little... not getting a clear n crisp pictures, which we can expect from a high MP camera.. kindly bring the upgrade/ update of camera where auto focus function works in a better way

The moto camera on my Moto G4 Plus for the most part is pretty good and can take some high quality photos, especially in the right lighting conditions. In low light is where it starts lacking. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. But another issue I have is when I try to take a panorama, it always comes out blurry. Also, I think you should add a professional mode for video so I can have more control, especially with the ISO and manual focus. Other than that, I found no significant problems.

Just picked up a G4 Plus, and I love it! And I am highly appreciative of the Professional mode. But please, please make it stay there once I select it! It's so annoying to have to open the app, then select the mode icon then Professional each time. Also, another easy option that could be added and really helpful, exposure bracketing. Other than that, great so far! Thanks

Poor flash photography AT NIGHT in auto mode (some cases of manual mode too) specially while using flash for taking images away for 2 ft or more, probably bacause of poor flash synchronisation or it uses 1/14 shutter speed at night. Please fix this issue by setting minimun SS of 1/20 or 1/25 & max ISO around 400-700).. I tried Google cam app, & it really worked better in low light coz it used ISO 500 and SS 1/25 for most instances (for same setting Moto cam app used ISO 2000 and SS 1/14)..

Although the developer has tried their level best to give utmost clarity to the camera through the Moto camera app, it's completely out of reach to visually impaired users. When a vc person want to take a snapshot, where should he tap in the entire screen to click the camera? The TalkBack won't assist the vc person entire through the app due to the apps desine so please make the app user-friendly in future, by providing buttons which the tts can assist the vc person.

Until I deleted DCIM folders from my SD card and internal storage, then the app worked and recreated them. Seems like a bug caused by some file corruption? Anyway otherwise it's a decent app, but I agree a companion Gallery app is a good idea to add.

I really wish there was a stock gallery for my basic editing needs. I'd like to be able to mark up images, and see all my images on my device, NOT WITH GOOGLE PHOTOS! Sadly, because of this, I will be taking the phone back to Verizon tomorrow for a Note 7. I tried for a week to like the phone, but I've never in my life spent so much time with Verizon's technical support. They too didn't have very nice things to say about the phone and recommend I get the Note. Sad...

It would be cool if we could save manual mode presets. And there needs to be 240fps slow motion, I don't see why my moto z isn't given this option where mid range phones from 2015 did. Also a longer manual shutter speed would be good.

There is no focusing in slow motion and panaroma in my phone, even in the update without that this slow motion feature is wreck, useless can you please make it possible asap, this is my new device moto g4+. Are you gonna do something for solving the ussue?

Awesome Camera Quality no doubt. But Need to Improve manual mode, please provide long exposure mode and manual mode on video recording also. Slow motion Video should be atlist 720p on moto G4 and G4+ as even Moto G3 has the feture ..

This is the first time I have purchased a moto phone and have discovered that it has the worst front camera. The images are blurry with a lot of noise and there is no option to even beautify the pictures. My previous Asus phone clicked sharper and high contrast pictures. Am not sure what to do now and how to get rid of this issue.

The app is OK but I don't know why but the option of professional camera doesn't appears..... I have a Motorola Moto G 3rd gen and I don't like the default camera app because it doesn't have too many options. That's why y downloaded this app but then I realised that the professional options didn't appeared. If I could have them I would give the app 5 stars. I hope that having that options is a possibility.

Coming to the quality I am impressed. But it cannot be used. The video recorder is still lagging even after 2 updates the heating issues are okkk but the camera app lags after shooting 3+min videos. Please rectify this only then Moto will succeed with g4 plus Motorola and it's now time for an update for the app the app is a bit laggy now a days

Why would you make such a great camera with no stock gallery. I had to find a gallery app and they're all pretty much horrible. It stopped saving my pictures on my SD card and only saved them to apps. Please fix in next update.

Update: Reinstalled latest update and seems okay now. - Old: I'm not sure if there's a fix yet, but I can't record video without Hanging briefly or locking up. Tried saving to internal memory and a fast memory card. Same issue unfortunately.

Moto Z Play has the worst camera, both back and front. The auto-focus feature has serious problems. Sharpness in pics and videos is missing, both in good and low lighting conditions. Zoom into pics and colors look washed out. Very disappointing. MOTO/LENOVO, please do something about this otherwise great device.

the selfie is not functioning when we click the selfie button the camera is not taking the pic quickly it is taking some time and then taking the pic this happening in my moto z play. delay in taking the selfie when camera is opened after the first pic it gets normal and takes pic as usual problem is repeating fix this bug please

This app on my moto z play takes some time to click pics in hdr on and auto mode. Its not very fast when i select these modes. Also, the front camera lags a lot ...

Is not working very well with StreetView, photos are blurry, it doesn't focus properly... i tried Instagram, the same: photos are blurry.. and using Whatsapp, photos are OK, but I think Whatsapp uses its own camera so that makes me believe the problem is with this camera. Please consider fixing this issue, it is really annoying.

Most of the tym camera crashes with the message restart the application...but even after restarting the application it is not fixed..every time I have to restart device to fix this issue...Request you all developer team to plz provide some patch or anything to fix this issue.... Genuinely need your help!!!!

On my Z play while taking 1st pic, it has taken too much time like 3-4 seconds which is too much...other wise app is OK and reliable for new users. Time lagging problem is a issue so request you to solve it ...

Details are lost I have Nexus 5 with a broken glass. Nexus 5 has a 8 MP camera, but produces much better images with auto HDR+ (not HDR) in low light than Moto G4 Plus. Nexus 5 also has OIS, which Moto G4 Plus Nexus 5X doesn't have. Nexus 5 also has more white balance options. I should've bought an old Nexus 5 phone which cost 1/2 or 2/3...

Can you please fix this issue? Focusing is not working on any app on moto g4 plus. Panorama is out of focus still after Nougat update. Very disappointing. Plz guys don't buy it.

Turning the HDR on front camera makes the whole screen go crazy with green back flashes and it hangs up. This started happening only after the last update. Hope you get a fix!

The camera takes great pics but the flash timing is long. With children or pets the pictures come out very blurry from movement. Also there is no gallery. Not a fan of not having this feature. If fixed I will rate better.

Camera app when it works is awesome. Critical flaw that makes the phone overheat and camera actually stop taking pictures if too hot. Not sure how Lenovo is ignoring this but would be a great camera if fixed.

Camera lags a lot on photo mode and frequently asks me to restart the camera on a continuous video mode. When turning on hdr on photo mode, camera app crashes and reopens. Please fix

BUG in Moto G Play Camera. When I try to switch the video resolution from 1080p(30fps) to 720p(30fps), the camera crashes. It asks to restart the camera and then it works fine. But switching the other way around is fine from 720 to 1080.

The app crashes when taking video and zooming.. sometimes it hangs even when not zoomed, but taking image during video recording.. it's so unstable and reproducible that every time I try to record a video and try zooming or taking picture while video record hangs the app or crashes the app.. the video being recorded then is no more in viewable format, but occupies space in phone like 72mb etc.. I have sent the crash report many times, yet no use..

Everything was working just fine until I did a security update. Now I keep getting camera error every time I open the app. It makes the mod worthless with this issue.

Camera works very nice on auto mode .. But in professional mode when u choose focus and keep it at macro.. the camera does not focuses the subject properly.. please fix it!!

Slow motion video hangs, recording video mode after 5mins as usual it hangs, heating issue, overall for 15k mobile this is pretty bad thing... Lenovo i hate you... Moto g3 is pretty good.

1. Slow mo video is getting blur and tap to focus, auto focus is not working at all. Rest all are working. Plz fix this. Very disappointed. 2. Hope I should dwnload other camera app for moto g4. Very disappointing with slow motion features auto focus is not supporting while capturing video. Still no updates. 3. After upgrading to Android 7. Front camera is not working. Fix this.

I'm still not getting the slow motion and professional photo option,evwn after updating the camera, don't know why? The camera lacks pretty much everything and can't customize my camera settings at all , coz there aren't any!

The camera on my z play is pathetic. The images are blurred, the autofocus takes a long time and sometimes doesn't focus. On zooming the images taken even close range are blurred. The 8 mp cam of moto g4 was much much better than the 16mp z play cam.

Lags where a lot of smart phones with a cheaper price have. I have been in apple fan for years now. Before that I use nothing but Motorola phones. This camera well it just sucks. Something tells me it's not a true 13 mega pixel camera. Photos in low light are horrible. Hdr is really bad. No matter how much you adjust. You will not get that 13 mega pixel picture. I'm a fantastic for black and white photos. Not an option. Times are changing and changing fast. This phone reminds me of 2014 camera qualities.

How focus mode works under Prof mode? If we adjust it to "m" near by objects doesn't focus. Anyone knows about it...!!! *Please add beautification mode like Moto E3.* Moto G4 doesn't have beautification mode like MOTO E3. Please check once. Add some filters like MI Note phones. This will be a good update.

The panorama images don't get focused while shooting... and also while taking photospheres in Google map street view ...the pics gets defocused ...and the flash doesn't fire at tym of the click slightly misaligned that makes the pics darker not well lighted wen clicked with flash !! Please work on a fix

Too much lacking in moto G4 plus. After taking 3-4 shoots continuously it doesn't work properly. I am just fed up with Moto camera. Why Motorola is not improving it..?

The Moto camera is really good but since the last update, the capacitive buttons are hidden. Prior to the update I touched the finger print sensor to bring those buttons but it doesn't work anymore. Instead I have to rely on the three dots where the buttons should have been. Please bring the buttons back.... Otherwise great app.
