Moto Voice

If I could, I would give this app 0 stars. For some strange reason, whenever I power off/restart or update the software on my Motorola Z Force Droid, there is a popup that CONSTANTLY appears every split second. It's SUPER frustrating and annoying! To stop the popup, I have to reset ALL app preferences. After the popup stops, I have to go through the process of getting all my preferences back to the way they were. What the heck, Motorola?! Please fix this. I am starting to regret this phone. I really miss my old Samsung phone...

Unusable after 7.0 update Moto Z Force. Switching to OK GOOGLE in hopes that I can use it handsfree while driving. Wicked bummer. This was last review 5 stars. (Old review) I use this app every day and find it to be the most useful app on any phone. The fact that I can turn my music on, check what time it is, read aloud my text messages or do anything else without ever touching the phone is revolutionary. Thank you Motorola! This app alone keeps me with Motorola. Used with Moto Z Force, Turbo, Turbo 2 and Moto x perfectly.

Excellent for hands free operation of phone. My only complaint is you can only announce caller ID at certain places you select. As a busy professional I screen my calls when I'm busy and would love an option to announce caller ID and text message id everywhere. It was that way with the droid RAZR.

People facing issues after nougat update, do this. Clear the data of Moto app from settings then uninstall it to restore it to factory version then update it from here. After that you can setup your voice command and it will work like a charm.

Nice idea, but bad implementation. The activation phrase will open Google Now voice recognition. The nifty things you find on Motorola's pages (like having read your notifications to you) are long gone, these features have been ditched. Google Now won't accept commands when the device is locked, defeating the whole purpose of Moto voice. You have to keep your device unlocked using a trusted place or a Bluetooth device, then it works. What's more, the new Google Assistant has much more useful commands, but Moto voice opens Google Now and there's no way to change it. If there was a setting to use voice commands while locked and to choose between Google Now and Assistant, this would get five stars.

Got a New Moto z . This sucks, Moto voice is more advanced on my 2013 Moto x than this new phone, lots of things don't work on the z. The old Moto voice is why I got z, I'm returning the phone, Motorola you lost a customer, and enable wireless display to! So sad that my motox 2013 has better software than this new z.

Great application, that is getting better regularly! The only issue that I have, (however, I understand it, because I have my phone encrypted), is that after the phone re-locks, it is not really "hands free"! You can say your whole command, but the phone won't do anything until you enter your unlock code! Oh, the costs of increased security!

This app used to be good but now it does not process the voice commands without unlocking the phone. This becomes especially difficult while driving. The touchless feature of moto z is totally defeated due to this.

Requires you to unlock the phone for voice commands and doesn't play nice with Google Assistant now that it's out for all phones. I really feel suckered. My Moto X 2013 had better software by FAR.

This update completely sucks, only black screen appearing when i give voice command. Ok, please tell me the difference between 'ok google' and Moto voice except the launch phrase used.

Go back to the old Moto voice. It's not literally just google voice and we have lost many different commands such as "what's up" to read notifications. "Find my phone" is gone. Bring back the old Moto voice!!!

I use to use it while driving and to find my phone if I lost it but now it won't unlock my screen when is is off. I just stopped using it

Somehow activates the old Google search instead of Assistant. Defeats the whole point. Also, it is extremely hard to set "OK Google" as your phrase, as the app says it is too short.

So I set an alarm to wake up at 5pm... It was supposed to be just one day. For 4 days in a row the alarm goes off at 5..how to stop this

It doesn't work with 7.0 nougat on my Moto z play. Please fix it.

My moto z can't open after upgraded nougat

When I tell the phone to make a call as I am driving. It do not put the phone on the sleeker. An when I am done talking it doesn't put the phone on the front screen.

I've had some issues with it turning on even when my phrase wasn't used, several times a day.

Needs an update. Still launched Google Now commands instead of Google Assistant, which is much more useful.

Does not work with Nougat... MOTO Z

It just works but I would like to see the option of lockscreen password being overridden temporarily while making voice commands when the screen is locked

Works pretty well, now if only it opened Google Assistant.

Google voice does not work please fix. Turns on whenever it wants and doesn't work to recognize my voice!!!!

Unable to use phone as hands free device as it asks me to unlock the phone before use.

Will rate again after I use it some.

Not needed. With Google Assistant this is not needed anymore.
