Motorola Gallery

Good app, as long as it isn't changed again. If I knew how to program, I think I know what's good and what's not. Programmers aren't very bright. The phone's are good, EXCEPT, every Motorola "smart" phone I've ever had, has ONE problem, it don't know which way is UP. Screen rotate must be disabled. It's an easy concept, TOP of phone is UP, ALWAYS! You can hold it Vert or Horz but top is UP. Why can't that be fixed? You can find the phone anywhere with GPS but can't program it to know which way is UP! WHY?

I love the edit studio so much i use it like everyday for editing its a blessing. But there are a few things i would like you to add to make it even better! 1) Collaging; I always make collages with photos but i gave to use other apps to do so. It would be very convenient if yo could add it to Edit Studio! 2) Blur Effects; I like to Blur my pictures with other apps but they take up so much storage! 3) Drawing Tool; I like to draw on my pics but I can never find good apps that do! If possible plz add these!

When it works its a great app, with a simple and easy to use ui. However since the Marshmallow update there have been numerous times ( 1 in 12 times on average) when I open the app and it does not show anything, none of my folders are displayed and there is nothing I can do other than turn the phone off and back on again.

I use it only to keep and view my photos. I like it's simplicity. But there is a bug. When I scroll down through the scroll bar and leave it anywhere the scroll bar to select and move up/down gets disabled. That means I am not able to move down directly through the scroll bar till I do some other operation. Please fix it.

It's pretty decent as a gallery app. I actually just discovered the filters you can apply to photos and I'd say they're just as good or better than Instagram to start with. My only contention is that the thumbnails are rather large and can't be adjusted. It's more evident when you have a lot of photos, which makes scrolling a drag.

I'll give Motorola that the UI is pretty, but functionality-wise, it's reminiscent of my last Motorola experience with a phone that is now four years old. I don't know how at the tail end of 2016 any gallery app doesn't have the ability to hide folders or even sort the photos alphabetically. I would like to be able to hide albums that clutter up the view, such as album art, and organize it by something beside date, so I can properly navigate pictures.

What happened? It was amazing until our Lollipop turned into a Marshmallow. Vignette, Graduated and Saturation no longer work on the photo editor! We used those functions to make art... Please, we're begging you, fix it! It was so perfect...

I just bought a brand new Motorola phone which has nougat. This app is not compatible with that and I don't know why you guys can't upgrade this app to work with nougat? It seems like it's a money thing so please upgrade this app and let me buy it because right now I am stuck with a bunch of crappy options which are full of ads and are not compatible with nougat. I have always enjoyed this app and would like to continue using it . Thanks

I like the gallery but it needs some changes. I would like to get rid of the highlights reel and just have all my albums in a list when I pull the menu from the side like it used to be, instead of having to click on Albums to view my albums. That is an unnecessary step that should be rid of.

Not compatible with moto g2 marshmallow, after upgrading it is not able to detect my existing pics in sdCard/camera folder... Newly taken pics, however are detected... Tried deleting the gallery app data, so it could re-scan all files but still could not detect older files existing in sdCard/camera folder

After the Marshmallow update to my Moto X Play the Gallery started to show duplicate folders. Say if I happen to move a couple of photographs to a folder named as "Moto X Play" which was already existing in my SD card another new folder with the same name "Moto X Play" is found in the gallery. Found this one to be a bit weird.

This app is detecting all the graphics from games and other apps including cached pictures. Because of this, these files and folders are being recognized in Google Photos and being backed up there! It's very frustrating to have to scroll through pages and pages of graphics just to find one picture to share. I emailed Motorola over a month ago about the issue and have yet to hear back. This has now happened on both my Turbo and my Turbo 2

I don't known if this app is responsible for playback of video but I think it is. Ever since the Android update a few days ago it stops being able to play video's randomly and I have to restart my Moto G. Also it is an annoying app as it is very bad at albums as I cannot create my own.

Gets slow while scrolling videos on my phone. It seems like a bug .needs performance improvements and optimisations in android marshmellow 6.0. Please give an update shorty, its getting worst..pls update or give us an option 2 uninstall this app

Since I updated to marshmallow and converted SD card to internal memory, ( dunno which action triggered it ) I see duplicate folders of my albums. Details of a single image in duplicate albums show different paths(internal storage and SD card respectively) and yet deleting any one of them affects access of other. I waited for a very long time expecting bug fix before I decided to put this feedback. Hope it's fixed soon

Doesn't allow me to set my profile pic on watsapp at one go, if i try cancelling it , the same page with image keeps on coming back with cancel nd ok evrttym i click on cancel....

I would strongly suggest you to skip this app of you are running marshmallow. Practically nothing work. Freezes randomly. I had to hard reset my device then came to know about this typical problem is due to Marshmallow update. Right now forced to use google photos.

Every time I try to use the "create a new folder" feature and move some of my pictures to it, it makes it where I can't access those pictures. I can view them, but if I want to "share" or edit a "can't load image" error message pops up

I used this app a lot, occasionally using the "vignette" to highlight the subject. When my Droid Turbo broke I replaced it with the Turbo 2. Now, this function no longer works. The function opens, but nothing changes when I try to make adjustments. Give me back that option and I'll give it five stars.

I have purchased a Moto x style 3 days ago. Now it's upgrade marshmallow. but it is gallery not proper working. It's very slow for image displaying and not displaying videos icons . Kindly please fix this issue immediately. Hope your quick and better response.

Im using it from six months Some time it works .but some times it doesn't shows the contents of gallery albums like images and videos....please solve the issue

When trying to use the graduated filter (under the exposure editor) on an image, it doesn't do anything. Sliders show no change in brightness,saturation or contrast. Same for the vignette feature.

OmG!!!!! I didn't expect this from moto. Need update, because single folder is separated with the same name but different albums.????? and also slows down while scrolling videos! That too in 2GB Ram Really unbelievable!

Where to start just fix it all please. 1st can't copy pics from internal memory to SD card. Then if you do have it there are duplicates. Then it won't let you move items or erase... Just fix this garbage.

i dont know if its a bug in gallery app or in android. bt photos in my gallery become plain black after a while. at first i thought it must have been an accident or something like that. bt it has been happening consistently. every once in a while my photos become plain black,my downloaded photos turn black.

Every so often, if you take lots of photos in a day, it will automatically create a highlight reel of them. It will go through the photos you took and try to assemble a video of them. I'm fine if they want to make such a useless feature, but let me turn it off!! I have no interest in looking at the video it has created!

This used to work perfectly fine for my device. Now, every time I try to open to look at my photos, it flashes for a second and promptly crashes. I am getting really fed up with it as I can't delete photos/videos that are taking up space. This app came downloaded on my FreedomPop phone.

Recently I have updated my gallery but then I noticed that only camera pics are storing in it ...the pics which iam getting through what's app and share it or Bluetooth they are not getting stored in gallery...now my gallery is only restricted to camera pics only...

Recent updates have made this app not good!!!! When I take pictures, my pics go to SD CARD... All of a sudden this week there is a CAMERA folder. When I 'move' my pics from SD CARD to CAMERA, message says they are moved, but really NOTHING happens!

Please put camera settings option because some selfie stick needs manual setting to make it compatible with the phone..now the selfie sticks are not compatible..please see to this issue. Cheers

Even i can't open the image. Even Many times I'm unable to open gallary. If opens then take too much time to open the albums. If i can see the albums then i can't open that album. If i open the album i can't find any viewable image too many pro moto pls fix it

I'm becoming irritated I've got plenty of space on my phone and I want to redo the albums on my gallery stuff and its saying I don't have enough room when I CLEARLY DO

All my albums are duplicated with automatically bifurcating my pics into two. Suggest me the solution moto.

There is indeed a serious problem. File manager shows i have, suppose, 20 items under one folder. Whereas, this app shows 4 different folders under same head and divides all my files/items in those 4 folders. Though when i check details, it shows there is one such folder and not more. Its duplicating folders. Causing confusion and frustration. I use moto g2. Marshmallow.

My menu scrolls down it is not nice... Better to have previous version itself.. We asked u to show ages in groups not the apps... Sorry

Who is responsible for this screw up? Motorola or Google? Lost all functionality in Gallery to handle imported pictures. Have to use a third party app now. Thanks for making my life harder.

Gallery keeps messing up if i want to move an image to another album. Whenever i try to move something, it moves to another album of the same name, but its a completely different one that i didnt make

I used to love this app and used it all the time on my Samsung Galaxy. Now that I have a droid turbo 2, I can't open it. The app just flashes open then instantly crashes.

Whenever i move pics from one folder to another,instead it create a new folder with the same name.. pretty irritating..marshmallow update
