MacroEconomic Calculator

The MacroEconomic Calculator for Norway is a tool for computing the consequences of changing the final use of products and services within the Norwegian economy as reflected in 60 production sectors and one final use sector. The changes may be due to a general economic trend or new political aims such as expanding the delivery of final products and services from certain sectors, for example by increasing the education services by 50 % or requiring a reduction of the final use of oil products to 75 % of the current level.

Such changes can have implications far outside the sector providing the products and services because of the interdependence among all production and service sectors within the economy. The computed consequences will be return as production, employment and import changes required in each of the 60 producing sectors. All data are expressed in million 2011 Norwegian Kroner.
