TrayVolume volume notification for Android
I was hoping for sliders of all the volumes (system, notification, ringtone, alarm, media), but the main thing I wanted was a media volume control that I can access any time without having to go into the settings or open up something to use the physical buttons to control it. A late night game is now not a problem when I know exactly how loud the media volume is set before opening an app (since it's always in the notification bar).
Here's a great example of a simple yet delightfully customizable, really useful app. The good point here is that the dreadful plastic volume buttons will inevitably break, rendering control impossible. I've installed the app on my brand new 6.0.4 device and will never ever have to fight with those crappy buttons again. Bravo and tnx from Bermuda!!!!!!!
Probably one of the best out there! Just wish the volume level would show up in the notification bar. Right now I can see the icon but with two dashes (- -). Hope for a fix in future update. Keep up the good work!
It only control ear volume but does not control bluetooth or media volume. Tested on Oneplus One 64gb
It full filled all my requirement for a direct volium control on notification area. Without this android phone is incomplete. This is the basic functionality of a phone which google ignored. Thanks so much for the developer.
It does not show volume figure in the notification area anymore after Android upgraded to 5 and later to 6. The value is either blank or '--'.
Make the physical button useless. Yap this app is recommended..
Eats up way too much battery
Does exactly what I want, and does it unintrusively. I forget it's there, until I need it. Then it's one click in notifications widget to mute media, or change volume. It's become one of my core apps any time I set up a device. Support dev.
Doesn't work! Doesn't show current volume, just dots, when you do get volume it is fixed display showing 15. And no option to load at startup even!!!
More configurable than com.njsoftware.volumechanger and allows nicer button icons, but there's no option to mute everything. And there's ads. And no option to disable the redundant left volume indicator.
It is great, no need to touch hard to use side buttons or annoying apps , simple volume control, feels like I am on a desktop computer
nice but wish u can not show it from the taskbar.. like its there when I swipe down.. but better if its not there when I'm not swiping down.. idk how to say it haha, nice app
Since Google decided to mess up a perfect operating system by not sing media controversy controls unless diverging is paying, this app save l saved my life. 10/10 would install again.
Doesn't lower ringtone volume which is being used by many apps as media volume. Need to simultaneously adjust ringtone volume or offer a switch to lower it
It only control ear volume but does not control bluetooth or media volume. Tested on Oneplus One 64gb
Nice app. Always right away there and ready. What is this business, however ,with the broken volume buttons ? I have had three phones of different styles and have never had a button break off. And what exactly would you be trying to do with phone that would cause button detachment?
believe it or not, was having trouble finding a tray volume app.this one its perfect, nothing extra, all control a flick away without having to navigate away from anything! thanks guys!
A very handy app But I have to stop using it on my note 3 because it consumes more battery than even more than display. Don't know why, maybe it's just my phone. :(
It does everything what I needed. But you need to activate functions every time
Running touch wiz lollipop and still works after not been updated in 2 years.
My favorite volume toggle. No fluff, minimum ads only in its settings. Great job Dev Team.
I've got an 18" tablet in front of my rowing machine, too far to reach, so control it with a bluetooth mouse instead. This app conveniently allows me to alter the volume as well :-)
No option to set what the volume buttons control. Ringer doesn't change. I've emailed the developer to see if this is correct. Settings button doesn't open app. Where can I adjust the ringer? You have to press back button to access. 30% CPU usage is too high.
I was looking for a bunch of apps to better control my Nexus 7 since the buttons can be tricky to hit. I picked this one because I could open the notifications box from anywhere and adjust the sound. It worked great for what I wanted to do but unfortunately I noticed a huge drop in battery life. Upon further inspection it seemed to be this app. It could be just me, I don't know, but I prefer good battery life, so sadly I will have to check out a few other apps.
Although the app still works in Marshmallow, it no longer displays the volume level number. Instead it always displays dashes like when the volume is muted.
No matter what button I clicked, no sound setting is changed. Running on Jelly Bean 4.3.
Just perfect. Easy calibration and quick to access. Excellent work by the developers.
At first, I loved the app. It has a nice look and functions just as you would want and its really customizable. But then, I noticed that it had eaten up 12℅ of my battery in just 9hrs! It also has been doing a suspicious amount of data transfers. Unless you want to say goodbye to your battery life, don't download this app.
I'm using Lollipop on the Nexus 6 and all of the notifications are white, but this app doesn't allow you to change between light and dark. If you could change the colour of the notification itself, not the fonts, to white, it would be a 5 star app.

When you have a physical volume button broken, this App is a great sokution! Work nice and simple! Thanks !! :-)
It's a great app. It has what I was looking for and even more. It's very useful since I broke the volume sensors trying to unmount my phone because I accidentally dropped water on it and it stopped working properly. Yeah, I know that was very stupid.
Can now adjust volume for media-players, YouTube, etc. without having to use physical buttons or "pause+switch to 'some-volume-app'+change volume+switch back+unpause"-method. Very convenient.

The sliding volume doesn't work. 5 stars when fixed
Pity android don't allow sliders on 3rd party notification bar apps. This is a must have and should come as stock
It's battery heavy application. When I open battery settings it always says 38% for Tray volume. Even display doesn't need that much battery.
I need increase o reduce the volumen just touching the bar line and not just tocuching the bar's button

This is actually suggested by other app developer which meant alot to us. Nd I installed it. Its quite handy. But if I opt for seekbar style in notification then u can't slide left right to change volume. I have to tap which make it difficult when u want to mute it. Most of time on 1st tap it reduce to 1 nd to make it 0 one has to perfectly tap on extreme left. Its good if it has sliding function or give a x button in seekbar also to mute it on 1 tap thanks.
