About Tank Check

This application requires a special bluetooth device.

More info about the TankCheck Sensor can be found here: http://mopeka.com/

This application is designed to be used with the Mopeka TankCheck sensor. The Tank Check application can measure the LPG propane level to tell you the exact fill level and when your tank is empty. It can be used on tanks found in RVs, heaters, BBQ grills, etc. The Tank Check sensors are magnetically stuck to the bottom of your propane tank and will periodically measure and wirelessly send the fill level or percentage to the Tank Check app. Stick it on the bottom of your tank and know exactly when you are running low on propane! This technology is patent pending.

Usage:
1. To pair your Tank Check sensor to the phone, simply press the "Sync" button on the back of the sensor while the app's main screen is visible. The first time you use your Tank Check sensor you must press the "Sync" button 5 times in a row in order to wake up the sensor.
2. Place the Tank Check sensor in the center of the underside of the tank. Most tanks have a small "flat" spot on the center and this is the nominal location for the sensor.
3. Flip the tank over. Once the fluid has settled the app will display a reading. Note that the LPG fluid will be sloshing around in the tank for a few minutes and the quality of the measurements will be low until this has stabilized.

The instructions do not match the denied I have. There is no way to, "Pull the battery protection strip..." as the se cannot be pried open. What is the black, rubber- covered button? The actual sensor? Yes both sensors are synced.

When I first got it before the August 15th update it was working fine everything was great probably one of the best programs I ever got for camping after the August 15th update I keep getting a malfunction I cannot open up each individual tank and I can't set up any other tanks it still does give me a percentage but that's it. I wish it worked as good as did when I first got it.

Works on Android 6 tablet but scanning fails to pair on Galaxy S7 running Android 7 ( and yes, Location is enabled for the app). It appears to observe a device is there when I press the pairing button on the sensor but it just sits there with a blank box.

Works well its nice to just look at your phone to see your levels. Battery life is better for the device than I expected. It will show low battery in cold weather.

Easy to use for the trailer.

I use it on 30 # RV tanks. My Android phone allows selection of 30 # so levels are appropriate. The magnet on the transmitter is strong, but would probably not survive Mass. bridges so I installed a bottom under the tank. Also you have to be careful putting the tank in the RV or the transmitter will slide away from the middle of the tank and give false readings.

Some times I get a false reading. Said 3.2 inches and tank was full. Easy install and very convenient. Second tank was accurate reading.

It worked for a short time on my Droid phone. Lost pairing now unable to pair with my phone.

Scan function never enables. I'm also curious why location services are required.

I have to restart phone to get scan to start

Love this, worked first time.

Waste of $100. Not accurate at all on 20 lb tanks. We've ran out of propane twice during a winter storm because the sensors are reading off by more than 25%. Went through all trouble shooting steps multiple times including replacing the tanks with two news tanks. Brand new filled tanks start off showing wrong.

What is logic in requiring location services for a Bluetooth App to "find" the tanks? I am not inclined to enable this service, therefore making it available to all other apps to monitor my location, just for a tank monitoring app. Get real guys....
