To use, simply turn on the app and the black screen will appear. Tap Anywhere on the screen to exit the app.
*NEW* Hold your finger down on black screen for Activation (with a 10 second delay) & Deactivation options to appear in notification bar. Example: Want to listen to music from YouTube app? Hold finger down on black screen until it disappears. Open desired app. Choose video. Pull down notification bar & choose "Activate".. Black Screen Saver will activate in 10 seconds. You will need to Deactivate app from notification bar.

Simplicity Simplicity Simplicity. Just what I wanted. I now have the black screen launch icon on my Home Screen. I use it mainly with the STREAM app by DJiT (music player) which lets me play YouTube music when doing other tasks. Having the YouTube screen running burns a lot of battery. Here the Black Screen Saver comes to the rescue. Now I have a black screen with just a small YouTube window/icon. If you hit your lock button YouTube kicks you off and the music stops. I am very happy with this setup. Thank you PS As an option (that the user can turn on/off) it would be nice with a warning, when you press the screen off button, asking if you really wanted to turn YouTube off before it stops the music and gives you the Oops (the Attorney reminder) that YouTube does not allow to play videos when the screen is locked.

There's no timer. You can't set the app to automatically activate after a certain time of inactivity.

Simply what I was looking for!. Few points - 1. Please provide an optional and adjustable timer feature (timer is an essential feature of a screensaver) 2. Please fix this behaviour - if phone timeouts and locks when bss (black screensaver) is active, upon unlocking the screen, it starts with bss on (ie. the screen unlocks and immediately goes into black screen thus requiring one more touch). Thanks in advance.

When I have music playing, I previously would press the power button on my phone to turn off the screen, to prevent screen burn. Turning off the screen that way results in the music stopping after a short time. Using this app to blacken the screen, instead of pressing the power button, the music plays continuously. Thank you for developing this app.

My TV box (MyGicia) doesn't have a screensaver, nor can I manually turn the screen off via the KB/mouse while leaving everything else on, like music. I agree with other comments, a timer would give this 5 stars.

When drawing over a full screen app a small bar across the top and bottom is left exposed. If this is fixed I'll update this review to 5 Stars as the app would be perfect!
