MP power for Android
So many Android users feedback the timer end-time problem. It should be a eady fix because the previous version works. But they only make it work with iOS(Apple) systems. They treated Android users like we did not pay real money for the product. I am replacing Monoprice with alternatives on my purchasing req.
I can only turn on a connected device on or off. The ON/OFF timer only allows to shut off at 4PM. The app also looks very plain and basic.
The instant on/off function on the app seems to be the only part that functions as intended. Everything else from the timers only ending at 6:00PM and the Bluetooth connection messing up my headphone pairing makes me feel like this was a waste of time and money... ugh
Timer only works apple devices. Why no love for Android ?
Now I understand why the timer device was on sale at Monoprice for $5.99. Like others have said, it defaults to 6 pm 'off' time no matter what you enter, and timers can't be modified once created. Only instant on/off functions correctly. This app needs major work. Developer, are you listening?
I can't set the timer off time. I'm very disappointed.
I can get it to work every now and then but that's it. Please say there is an alternative.
Horrible. How can the app be released with the Timer function not working. Can only turn device on/off
When you save a timer, the end time always reverts to 7:00 on mine. Useless.
Look for "Plugable Power" (sic) app by the same author to work around - the other app seems to be an older version and does allow the end time to be set.
As others have mentioned, the timer function is broken.
Set it up for a demo then don't touch anything, don't move anything, don't even look at it funny. Then pray nobody wants to see it actually dependably work. This CrApp renders the hardware nearly useless and the worst part is there seems to be no logical pattern to make it play at better than random. Maybe I'll try a pos phone next
Completely messes with other Bluetooth connections to the phone.

I would like to see: tasker support, widget, ability to control the nfc range, and ability to only enable nfc within a specific time frame.
No problems with Wi-Fi working for me. Would like the features that are available in the Apple version though. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. Looking for the feature available for ios that allows you to customize sensitivity.
I have to reset my power strip weekly: every Saturday, the app loses connection. If I just unplug the strip and plug it back in it works again. Annoying, but not a big deal. Really wish NFC (really BT proximity, but app calls it NFC) could respond to more than 1 device! This way it would work better for couples and families: lights turn on for anyone, not just 1. Tasker integration would be great, but the basic timers and proximity functions work well at least on my nexus 5 so I'm happily doing without.
Good app but is buggy tho. Would be amazing with tasker integration.
I was super excited for this, but it's buggy & inconsistent. Are there plans to update it? Sometimes it kills my wifi also. Home Automation is supposed to work behind the scenes. Launching the program and requiring my interaction every time I toggle the bluetooth defeats that purpose. In addition, the splash screen takes more time & makes the app feel slow & a resource hog. NFC & On/Off widgets would make it even quicker and more useful. I like that it transfers the timer settings so my phone or bluetooth aren't needed. I was also hoping for the ability to adjust the bluetooth range (as the iPhone version does) and On/Off .

So the app connects to the wall outlet with no problem via bluetooth and you can turn the outlet on and off as well as set the timer and utilize the NFConnect. BUT... The connection appears to kill my WiFi connection. In order to use WiFi I have to shut off my bluetooth. This needs to be fixed in order for the app to be worth anything. Until then I'm glad I bought the outlet timer on sale.
The app crashes everytime I turn my bluetooth off and it kills my wifi when enabled. Not sure if it's a nexus 4 problem or if it's because I have 2 bt plugs, but the app is almost useless because of the problems. Even with my wifi off, it can't connect half the time. More an hassle than turning on everything manually.

Timers are useless. End time always sets to 1800 and then won't allow any changes to be saved. Now it's just a glorified bluetooth on off switch that might work. Reverting to 1.3.4 would be better so it's uninstall and use the plugable power app as Paul Farkas noted. It's weak but better. BTW, Contacting Monoprice support was useless so think about that next time you buy there
