My Android phone recognized that a 'headphone' was active when I had inserted the PAYD magnetic stripe reader, but as soon as I started the PAYD app, the headphone jack indicator just repeatedly activated and deactivated, but could never be used. It had the required microphone permissions. I clicked on the 'Help' menu option in the app, and was sent to a non-existent web page. I called PAYD tech support, but they were not familiar with Android. I get the impression that PAYD has spent much more time working with iPhone (where the magnetic stripe reader and app both worked) than Android. Note that the competitor Square magnetic stripe reader and app work just fine on my phone (Asus Zenfone 3 Max).

The update this month made for huge connectivity improvements. It was really becoming very problematic to have to force close the app after inactivity to reconnect the device. Options for affordable small business payment processing are slim to none, so really hoping to see regular improvements to make a 5-star app to reflect a 5-star service!

This app's latest update has finally fixed connectivity issues and tells you exactly when the pinpad is paired. Since updating, I've had zero issues and use this almost daily. Great work! Still wish you could set up pre-set tip percentages when clients with with their chip card.

It works most of the time, but when it doesn't it's a bit embarrassing in front of your customers. Sometimes glitches with connection to pin pad (even with devices in direct contact) or immediately logs you back out to the sign in page which is frustrating. It ends up working after 30 minutes to log back on (in which customers are gone). Wish it was more dependable because the idea of it is amazing and convenient.

Starting to cost me money in time. I log in and then it immediately takes me back to the login screen. Not acceptable. Will be calling today. Needs to be fixed.

Horrible customer service, i have used there service in past for couple of years and then want to switch to Payd Pro and apparently they cancelled both accounts without informing me and when i called all three different reps keep repeating the samething over and over again that the account has been cancelled even thou i mentioned that i didn't cancel the account at all. Now they are saying that i need to reply again and go through all the paperwork and process again which i don't have time to do and for sure not for MONERIS AT ALL, will give my business to someone else. Disgusted with them totally.

Found deep in their website that it works on "most android phones 3.0-5.0os." huh? Why not 6.0 and why does it not say that in the app description upfront!!! The pin pad option never appears in the settings section where they say to go. Need WAY BETTER ANDROID SUPPORT THAN This. If you have an I phone the unit is a passable 3stars at least it works. Get with the times moneris.

Now I can process debit card, credit card with this one machine. The monthly cost is low. Really like it. It works great for me. I initially had connection issues, but I have figured out how to solve it. When connection issue happens, you just need to make sure to close your app completely and reopen it.

Its good for what it is...when it works. It likes to stall alot, then you have to force close it and open it again...annoying when you have a bunch of customer at a dinner rush and the system goes down. Also doesnt work with all phones as advertised...all my nexus devices it works, my wifes s5...nope *Update* dont believe other reviews on here, it works on 6.0+ as well

Works great if you can get it,and keep it, connected to the pinpad. I've had to completely re-do Bluetooth pairing and connection many times. So frustrating when a client is waiting. Using LG2 phone (Android) .

The Moneris pinpad works awesome except I don't like the fact that it shuts off if it's not being used within 15-20 minutes. The app has been a hassle when I need to process a transaction. I've had to reboot my phone several times and this takes up my precious time as well as my client. Please fix these issues. I've read several reviews with the same problem. When the app cooperates, it works great! Using the Samsung s6 edge phone.

I love this app and my pin pad i have never had a problem that can't be fixed. I find if the pin pad doesn't connect to your phone just do a quick reboot of both devices and it links up fine. Honestly this was the best business desicion I have ever made I have easily brought my sales up by 50% so thank you for making an affordable debit machine keep up the good work Moneris.

Used to work fine but now it's a constant problem and sales pitch to upgrade to Payd pro Plus. They pretty much disrupted my business by messing up my credits and debit transactions, delaying payment for 3 weeks and they can't even give me a straight answer on what happened. The worst customer service for a business provide i have come across. Why can't i give this zero stars?

You would think that, with all the money Moneris is making for every transaction, they would be able to figure out these problems and fix them! I have had the app either go black or freeze on the screen multiple times after a customer has entered their payment on the pinpad. Leaving me standing wondering if the transaction went through and me unable to now send them a receipt. There should also be an option to send a receipt through the app if you need to send one after you close the app! FIX!

Lately keeps glitching and freezing when trying to connect. You have to reconnect the device every time you use it. It's fine for certain businesses with low amounts of transaction; teaching classes, yoga, mobile services, but terrible for anything that requires fast transaction times. The blue tooth goes in and out if you move too far with your phone from the terminal, and the terminal will time out which means you have to reconnect it and start it up frequently. Okay if you want something cheaper.

Super frustrating, it wants me to update my password every couple months. This time it errors out every time I try to update my password. Tried a brand new account, still doesn't work. App no longer works. Need a fix ASAP for my business!

Make sure to turn machine on first before opening the app and it connects great! Other than the device going to sleep to soon that would be my only issue.

You yavw to initialize the pin pad every time you need to use which takes a few mins, sometimes fails. The service ia pretty bad, they never called you back as they promised.

I've had log in issues more and more every day on the app, and now on the website. The PaydPro reader goes on standby within seconds, "to save battery" but there's no option to turn it off which sucks. When it works, it works great. When it doesn't I'm left looking like a bad business when I can't take payment which is the last thing I do. I know it's new, but the level of standard a payment system is at is high.

Unless you keep the pinpad plugged in it has gone to sleep and has to be reawakened which takes about 30 precious seconds. Also takes several tries to reconnect to Bluetooth. Customer service keeps you on hold for hours waiting to speak to a live person. Tonight the app froze as a client was entering their details. I ended up unsure whether the transaction had gone thru or not. This device and app have embarrassed me many times as I've had to ask a client to hang around longer than they want to reboot.

Use square for credit and cross my fingers every time i have to use payd pro to process a debit transaction, a sure way to impress (if you're lucky) or annoy customers.

Wasn't working at first then I called customer service and they helped me set it up. Works great as long as reception on data is good, I also like that debit transactions are free.
