Checkbook Pro Trial

So far, I am pretty impressed, but have only been using it for about 15 minutes and am still finding my way around the app. My last checkbook wouldn't transfer data to a new phone, so I am trying something different. When I enquired, I received no response, they lose, you win. I like how you respond to your customers, that says something to me. So far, I think the app will do nicely for me.

Really comprehensive app. Great job! I read where you were working on getting the information to display across multiple devices. This isn't a deal breaker but it would be really cool if my wife and I could access the same checkbook ( we work in different cities). Not sure how you can pull that off without storing the information on line somewhere as an option. Any word on how that's going?

I have been using it since yesterday and I really like it. I am able to keep track of my accounts very easily. If I stay liking it I will be buying it. Was using another app but that didn't work well with my new phone. This one seems to be what I am looking for. This one seems to be better than the old one i used.

Dev is obviously design challenged, and the poor design makes the app unintuitive and difficult to use. Adheres to not a single Android design standard. You could do just as well downloading a free Excel checkbook template and using it in an office program. The general idea might be good, but it is very poorly designed. I wouldn't use it for free, so I sure would not pay $3.99 for it.

I really want to use this app. But so far there's been no reply from support regarding a problem. I won't pay for an app that's not supported. UPDATE: You finally did reply to my email, after several days, so I purchased the app. I still think that having repeating transactions deducted from your balance before the due date is confusing and unnecessary. Fix that and you get five stars, because I love the app otherwise.

Easy and friendly to Use, But some features do not work right. Export to CSV function works great, as well as entering simple transactions. Color coded categories feature is very useful if you plan to use the reporting functions. On the downside, there is no way to enter future recurring transactions without them counting against your ledger balance right away. When I try to add a reminder to a recurring or future transaction by long pressing a transaction, and then pressing "Add Reminder", it doesn't show up in the reminders list, and it doesn't seem to send the reminders. Cloud back up is currently limited to Dropbox. Need to add other providers like OneDrive and Google Drive. Will upgrade to paid version when these items are fixed; otherwise, I will just go back to CheckBook by Digital Life Software. Their product is not as elaborate, but as a basic checkbook it works beautifully including the recurring transactions.

Easy set up but we will see how it goes once free trial is up. Update: when trail is up you must purchase or you lose your data.

The idea is good but not very tap and go.

So far so good, but you must remember I just installed it last night. Give me a couple of months and you will hear from me again. Thus far "Thank-you".

Trying to find a way of life.

Got a Walmart Money Debit/Card a couple of weeks ago so I don't have to use my bank debit card with all the hacks going on. Works great but want to track spending . Put in cards starting balance $$$..then started adding the transactions in & realized I forgot to change the dates. Can correct transactions but not the starting balance. Can't find it. Bummer.

After using another app for almost a year it stopped working. Attempts at contacting developer were, as of now 2 weeks, unanswered. Very frustrating. Tried a few others until I found this app. All others have been deleted and am currently using the trial version, but will soon pay for thid one. It is that good. Very clean, can enter transactions at one attempt. Keeps track of expenses with very nice looking reports. Saves recurring transactions too. Thank you for the wonderful app!

Tried numerous times to enter repeating transactions, they are missing after the initial payment date. Nice format but without that feature functioning properly its useless unless you want to manually enter every month the reoccurring transactions. If I'm missing something please let me know otherwise I'll look for one that performs properly.......

I've just started using this and found it friendly and intuitive to use. But, I don't see a way to reconcile against bank statements. Am I missing something or is the app?

The option to not include future repeating transactions in ledger balance and uncleared does not work. Also, would like relative date option for repeating transactions.

Can this be used by two users of a joint account? Seems like a key feature that's never listed in app descriptions.

Have been using this for a couple weeks, and so I find it easy to use. I would give 5 stars if split transactions were available & it would be nice to be able to take reminders into the register with out having to re-enter the info. **Also, if I purchase the app will it overwrite the trial?***

Needs a quit button that closes ap and saves a backup. When using on multiple devices, upon opening it should use newer saved or backup file, would then be a sync between devices. I will be purchasing this ap this week. Thanks for actually listening to customers.

I would love to give this app 5 stars since so far it seems to function much better and faster than my previous checkbook app however, it seems the recurring transactions feature is not working properly and that's a pretty big issue for me. I would expect the transactions to show up in the morning but I have set up a minimum of 4 spread between at least 2 accounts and none of them are being reflected in the app.

Seems like a good app at this point. After some use will try again. Check register does not fit on the screen. I would think that it would so you can see the whole entry. Hope this would be corrected.

I would give it 5 stars if you c poo uld change the dates by either ascending or descending instead of being stuck with the oldest transactions always on top. fix and I'll change to 5 stars

Just starting to use this app. I am liking it more than others I've used. I will probably purchase it. The only thing I suggest is that when entering the dollar amount, that the decimal be automatically entered so that numbers only need to be entered when amount is not a whole dollar.

I really think this app is a good one with a really easy to use interface. I have two problems with it that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars. 1st, it is showing that I have an outstanding entry but even when I sort for that specifically it doesn't show up. The second problem is that I've tried making an entry in a future date it disappears. I am going to hold off purchasing the full version when the glitches are ironed out.

I would give it 5 stars if I could clear or post my recurring transactions early because my 2 retirement checks and the payments I send to my Bill collector's don't always deposit our deduct on the same date every month. For instance I get one of my retirement checks on the first of every month but if the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday it can come up to 3 days earlier with my bank who always deposits all my checks a day before the actual payday.

Trying out before I purchase. OK so far. Would like to be able to set up recurring automatic transfers from checking to savings, cannot seem to figure out how, seems to not give that option. The text is cut in half horizontally in the transfer section. Seems to be some minor glitches. The recurring transactions settings are a little confusing. Will have to learn through trial and error. Curious if glitches are cured in the paid app?

It has everything I need ... Except ability to see recurring expenses in advance. Since I use the ledger to keep track of my balance in the upcoming month, it renders the app useless for me. Too bad - otherwise its excellent.

I am happy with this app. But I can't seem to get reoccurring monthly automatic payments to show up every month. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is an issue with the app. My trial is almost over. Any advice would be appreciated or I'll need to find a different app to use. Thank you.

I really like what I see so far. I'm not forced to enter my login information to keep track of purchases (makes me uneasy knowing someone has access to my accounts). I would like to see a simple Loan Amortization (or account type for Loans). Possibly the ability to enter statement information (interest and service fees) for a more accurate balancing of credit card/loan accounts. I regularly transfer funds from checking to a loan and credit card accounts. Maybe a pull down with the Withdraw/Debit and Deposit/Credit that reads Transfer To/From and then you can select what accounts the transfer affects and can be setup as recurring as well. I see that it can be done all via Withdraw and Credit entries, but would save a step if was streamlined. I would recommend this app for those who don't like check registers or do checks at all, but like to track their transactions (like myself).

Has potential but needs lots of work. No report for total cash in accounts. Also, reports are so tiny, it's hard to read.
