I been a big fan of Moleskine for a long time, so maybe Im bias. Looks very clean great app for my galaxy note 4. Little buggy, needs work. Cool if they could make it open source some how so Architects and Designers or wana be could sell their own journals. Id buy their famous Architects journal, looks inspiring but $20 a little $$$
Opening the journal is not abvious at all. I was playing around with the elastic band when I accidentally discovered that you need to swipe across the orange strip to get into the journal. It shouldn't take ten minutes to figure out how to get into it. I haven't messed with the actual journal features yet, so I may come and give more stars later... Yeah, I don't like it. It takes too long to understand what is going on with it. Don't bother with this one. Better apps exist for this purpose.
I had such high hopes as I love to use Moleskine products. My initial issue of opening the app was solved. However I have discovered that when I try to paste text it will not save the page. This is an issue is I need to use a journal on a regular basis in my job and I like to paste text into my notes. That is why I have lowered my initial rating.
Very nice look, but every tool and option are tucked away in the most inconvenient way. Pressure sensitivity not working with Asus ZenPad. I'm a big fan of Moleskine, but it is painful to use this app.
All I get is the graphic of the notebook. There isn't a way to open the notebook consistently. Sometimes swiping the band in the orange area works, sometimes not. When trying to use it, it is like driving a Fiat without a steering wheel and brake pedal, nothing but crash crash crash.
It seems more effort was put into making it look like a moleskine journal than making a useful app. Low points include: getting the swipe to open or turning pages requiring several attempts, there is no zoom, limiting how much detail you can add, rendering the page after turning is slow and glitchy, and the tools are buggy and imprecise (see other people's complaints about random dots, etc.) But, boy, oh boy, does it look like a moleskine. I'm sticking with Squid, thanks.
I was really excited about this app but it performs really badly on galaxy note products. I have the note pro 12 tablet and note 4 phone and this app performs really poorly with the stylus. Please improve compatibility as users of these devices are likely to be your biggest user base.
Typed entries on ruled pages no longer align with the page lines, and there is no way to change font size. Gone also is the choice of different fonts. The purchased recipe journal is useless since the space provided does not allow for longer recipes, a place where font size adjustment would help. I'm sorry I spent the money on purchasing the recipe journal.
All I get is a notebook image and the elastic snaps when pulled. Disappointed, I was hoping to use this for journaling my dog's training progress.
I played with rubber band for about 3 minutes. I've got nothing. Crashes often. I was able to open moleskin page for like once. LOL -10/10
Got into the app ok have written in it twice and its not saving anything!! Crazy why use an app that you write your thoughts or ideas into and it loses them. Please fix this Really sad here!
Freezes constantly. I do more waiting for my commands to register then the actual writing. It's too slow. Ended up rage quiting.
I use a Note 10.1 and was hoping this app would mimic a Moleskine well. Alas it doesn't. 1) Stylus use was marginal - my biggest complaint was the interface. If I wanted to make changes to the pen/pencil, I had to do it in settings. They really need to have a toolbar to switch/make changes quickly (look at the interface in Autodesk's Sketchbook app). 2) Have a "pen mode" where my hand won't try to draw when using a stylus. 3) Have a "private" mode. I am suprised that so many journals apps do not have a private mode. Fix/add those 3 things and I think it could be a solid app.
This app is adorable, once someone gets to the point where he can actually open it. Reinstalled it twice before it hit me, right before I was about to kill my phone. Swipe across the orange band :(
Awesome idea, love the graphics, the notebooks look really cool and I would use this if the pen input was on par with SNote. This pen is laggy, skips, and adds dots to letters where there shouldn't be any.
Nice looking and stylus is accurate. However, it keeps crashing on my Galaxy S6.
I installed this under the impression that the weekly planner feature would function as, guess what, a weekly planner, but it is just a picture of a diary page that you can write on. Am I supposed to write the next year's worth of dates in myself? Very disappointing.
SIMPLY BROKEN ! Does not open. Only the rubber band moves...nothing else. As of September 4, 2015....a useless application !
I can move the elastic band and initially had a difficult time opening the app. I finally figured out the secret of getting the band to the right side of the screen. My problem is that my case has raised sides and trying to get the band all the way to the edge is a challenge, luckily my stylus helps a great deal. Please fix this issue.
Amazing app does exactly what I wanted to do, the only thing I found that caused problems was, when I let other people try to use the app a lot of them found it frustrating trying to open the notebook, not realising they need to move the closing band to the side. Other than that it's perfect for my needs.
Am big fan of the Moleskine Journals and was glad to see an app for the tablet, but sadly the pen recognition is terrible and throws up ink dots everywhere...like a leaky fountain pen. As someone else mentioned changing pens and brushes and also undo would work much better with a small unobtrusive toolbar. In addition, I would like to see preview of premium journals before directly being sent to billing. Heres to hoping that some improvements will be made soon!
Can only move an elastic band, when i did magically get in somehow i had to draw everything i couldnt write at all. This app sucks
On Droid Maxx, Stops working and closes constantly. When creating a new journal, the DONE button does not work. This would be a pretty decent app if those problems would get fixed.

Took reading all the comments to realize I need to swipe across the orange band to open. Would love to sync the Android app with the iPad app.
I tried this app when it first came out and it was terrible. The handwriting is not smooth and it's impossible to navigate.
But it crashes every time I go to the menu. Please update and fix. :)
Its a pitty, could have been great... Pen leaves dots, making it practically unusable. To others, poor sharing option, no t impressed with organizer. The price of the addons high , 2.5 fo the wine template?? Too bad, only nice thing, the rubber cord simulation for opening
Asinine gimmick! Sigh! Execution leaves much to be desired. "Share" only works with Facebook and Twitter services. (What is this? An iPhone app?) "Online store" presents an empty list. Evernote syncing is a confused mess. No syncing between "tablets" and "phones." "Your best ideas everywhere." Except not. How did this get out of the lab?
This app was powerful at one point, but since the Lollipop update its been useless. Now the lag in S pen or finger to ink on the screen is atrocious and unusable. It's a shame because I used to utilize the app frequently.
Lots of crashes. Unusable. Looks nice. Deleting for now. Will come back sometime and see if it has improved.
Three words awful. Awful. Awful. Downloaded the app and it crashes every time, sometimes won't even open. I've used the real thing for years and was excited to see a digital version. But it does nothing 100% useless. Hate that this is even called moleskin for the poor quality tarnishes their name
Put your finger on the rubber band at the orange part and drag your finger to the right to open it. This app has potential and is beautiful with many things you can do with it. Unfortunately it crashes too much, slow loading, if too much is in the journal the app will crash and erase everything. So sadly I cannot recommend it due to these faults.
Installed and ran fine. Looks beautiful, I was immediately in love. HOWEVER... when I write, the pen (or whatever tool I'm using) is wayyy too big, even when set to the smallest possible setting. l was incredibly disappointed, because I think this app has a lot of potential. The only tool that worked small enough was the eraser, which obviously isn't that helpful. l'm on a Note 10.1, maybe it's different on a smaller phone screen, but if the tools were able to be smaller, it would easily had gotten 5 Stars from me.
Interface is so cool especially the detail of all the writing tools but so many flaws! Havent been able to save a single note. Good thing I was trying out and nothing important was lost. Picture moving was impossible. I wanted to try weekly planning etc and scisssor features but app would crash every time I clicked on them. Hopefully u can fix these so I can use it stress free and turn this into a five stars.
Had loads of notes when it used to work and now it deleted them all and crashes when I do anything to try and work out what happened. Maybe not a phone app. Delete.
I love Moleskin brand. Have countless moleskins, use the Evernote Co branded Moleskine (waiting for the app!) love pencil feature a lot but handwriting should have similar lines to the actual traits we do. I like the tools and everything it just crashes all the time about anything. Can't use it. Uninstalling, sadly!!! Fix the app....
Doesn't work
Slow, chunky, doesn't save pages, no simple writing utensil; pen and pencil are both overly fancy, making it unusably slow. Excellent idea, poorly executed.

Pressure sensitive with any stylus and with fingers by androids width of touch. Very cool and done really nice in app. Bad news ATM, crashes often in some of my devices. UPDATE: interface is clean and worked out nice on phones. Tablet version could use some tinkering IMO. I like it, and with some improvements I think it could rival big note taking apps.
