DailyArt - Daily Dose of Art for Android
This app successfully captures centuries of fine art. Recently added 21st century art innovations. I especially appreciate the brief comments and descriptions of the pieces it is just enough to wet your appetite if you want to learn more about a particular piece or artist. It's like a private tour through museums and private collections I would never have the opportunity nor time to visit.
Well structured app. One piece a day is the perfect amount, you can appreciate the art and now feel over whelmed and yet not be bored or feel yojr are waiting for tomorrows piece. The paintings are at the right level of obscurity, they are often open for public veiwings are then to be by a familiar artist, this keeps you intrested and yet discovering new branchs of art. Keep up the good work.
I love art history stories. This app makes the artwork human because you learn about the context of its creation through the artist and the things that were happening in the time period. Enriches my enjoyment because the art becomes more significant to me
It's decent. I would like to see more diversity in the work selected. It seems to be mostly pre 20th century work from European men. Much of the work is already known. I do however, like the short stories for each piece.
I love it. I like being able to expose myself to art. Is there a way to have it set as your background or screen saver? That would just take it to the next level for me.
Perfect for those of us who know zilch about art. It makes *all* the difference to have a short paragraph of text with these works, just enough to make you understand, appreciate and remember them. Wide range too, love this app!
Always informative without being unapproachable to me, a casual fan of art, not a degreed art historian. There's a little bit of everything, not exclusively paintings. The app works well and updates aren't constantly required. I like that it links you straight to the collection where ever a day's piece is owned as well as the periodic features they do.
I'm definitely enjoying this app! Bunch of information about art pieces from all times. Every day you can open it and just smile. Exactly what I'd looked it up!
Its a cool app. I'm not an art savvy person and just wanted to get some apps that taught me some things instead of let my brain become stagnant. This is a good one.
Just a really good app! Also friendly and immediate reply to email. I think my favorite thing outside of the new piece of art each day is the little bit of history that comes with each piece. Overall an awesome job!
Enjoying this so far, art is great and not just the really typical paintings. They could improve the writing though - it can ramble whereas it would be better to focus and maybe name related artists in a movement etc.
Started wanting to get a taste for art and a deeper understanding of what actually happens behind the image itself, this app supplied just that. Great bits of information with paintings I had never even seen before.
I love Art! I enjoying seeing the talent, the history, and the mesmerizing feeling fabulous Art can bring to a persons soul. Art can take you places I otherwise couldnt go. Thank you for sharing Art with the public in a way that can easly be enjoyed on a "daily" basis!
This app goes way back to 2013!! And probably further, so the new users (such as myself) has missed a big amount of art content already (and probably has not much time for swiping backwards)
A lot of apps miss two simple things when designing and I can't understand why. Users of tablets need landscape mode and increase text size option. Fix that and your ratings should rise. App is good otherwise.
Gorgeous pieces. Great write-ups. Waiting to see pieces from outside Western Europe & USA. Hopeful for Asian, African, Aussie, & Latin American works. Then I'll post 5 stars for a complete range!
This app has really broadened my horizons on different paintings throughout history, and I love the captions at the bottom usually very well put. 10/10 great app would definitely recommend.
I consider this an easy way to expand my knowledge base in a way that requires minimal effort. Like many I work long hours and find it difficult to dedicate time towards studying art but this is kernel sized information that is easy to digest even with a busy schedule.
Great app to introduce you to art without making it boring. Everyday you learn a little. By the end of the month you know so much more than you knew before. I highly recommend it
I've been using this for a month or so and really enjoy getting my daily piece of art and info about it. It's a quick and simple way for me to learn something new and see something lovely daily!
this is a very good app and as an art student i find the facts in the description useful. it would be cool if there was a saving feature, so whenever i find a portrait i like, i can save it or look at it later. apart from that, it's good thanks
Simple and effective. This application is very educational. The drop-by-drop technique is perfect for those who never find time to dedicate to their artistic education. Please keep it simple as it is now.
Love this. Simple interface and beautifully written descriptions. I was never really into fine art until this app. Sorely needed culture in a not-so-cultured point in history.
Really awesome app and I'm learning something new evey day. I could go without all of the smiley faces in the posts. There are other ways to be friendly without losing some of its credibility.
It's very good. I would prefer to have more explanation about how to understand the piece of art, how to read it, more than it's history, measures or where is it located. Most of the things can be Googled, but an explanation from someone who knows how to understand art it's very worthy
'I've been disabled for a few years now and use art as part of my rehabilitation. This is a very useful tool for exploring new areas that may have escaped my attention. Thank you very much!
It's a perfect app: a range of beautiful artwork with a snippet of information short enough to be read on the go but long enough to cover a brief history of both the painting and artist. Amazing app.
I have gotten the same art 2 days in a row several times. I would rather see paintings than photos or other decorative art. I don't appreciate the daily asking for money.
I love that it notifies me to explain a work of art to me each day. You guys keep me engaged to the content by providing goo information and making sure it's well written.
Pretty much addicted to my essential daily dose of Art. Love the most captivating and informative write-up of each piece. So thankful for the creator's efforts!
Great app, very simple. Would be cool if we could schedule notifications so we can get updates at specific times in the day eg first thing in the morning or something
This is a great idea. I really enjoy receiving the art on a daily basis, their analysis of the art is informative and interesting and they pick interesting pieces of art to send out.
Very pleasant to receive a daily suggestion that sparks the urge to find out more, so maybe a good idea to include a link to the artist's name in Wikipedia!? At least that is the next step I normally make...
I learn some interesting things about the pieces of art I didn't know before - I really like this app and recommend to everyone who would like to know something more about the art you can see in the museums.
A welcome antidote to the rest of my usual day. I love being introduced to artists and pieces that are unfamiliar, and the commentary adds greatly to the experience. Recommended.
I really like seeing art o the past by some lesser known artists who were part of the various movements. AndI like seeing some lesser known work of more well-known artists.
This app is easily one of my new favorites. The daily dose is perfect, as it allows one to wholly appreciate each, instead of mindlessly fumbling through without stopping to read, anylize, and enjoy. The descriptions are great, and the ability to zoom in is fantastic - especially given the level of detail. I appreciate the light and dark mode, too. Every app should allow that feature. I look forward to seeing this app grow and develop, and I hope to properly support the creators soon.
This application not only gives users a single intelligent selection of fine art to reflect on (the pieces range from antiquities to modern, of varied media) but, each is accompanied by an insightful and concise commentary describing its significance, historical or otherwise. Finally, it is not an adware app pretending to be something noble. Enjoy. 5 stars from this user. Thank you.
The art that I get to see everyday on this app inspires me and makes me think. It leaves me, at least for a few minutes, to think about the artist and his perspective as he created the work. Truly brilliant app. I think everyone must have this on their phones to spend a few moments of the day thinking about art. Thanks for the hard work. It's a brilliant app.

its a really lovely way to incorporate a bit more art into your life. I think its great to make art so easily accessible not put it up on a pedastal as though only certain kinds of people can view it. I also enjoy that they include thoughtful descriptions of the art i find a lot of the time it really helps enhance your experience.
