علّمَني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
يمثّل البكاء مشهداً من مشاهد الإنسانية عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، حين كانت تمرّ به المواقف المختلفة فتهتزّ لأجلها مشاعره، وتفيض منها عيناه ويخفق معها فؤاده الطاهر. ودموع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يكن سببها الحزن والألم فحسب، ولكن لها دوافع أخرى كالرحمة والشفقة على الآخرين، والشوق والمحبّة. وفوق ذلك كلّه: الخوف والخشية من الله سبحانه وتعالى. ويصف أحد الصحابة ذلك المشهد فيقول "رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وفي صدره أزيزٌ كأزيز المرجل من البكاء – وهو الصوت الذي يصدره الوعاء عند غليانه -" رواه النسائي.

وتروي أم المؤمنين عائشة رضي الله عنها موقفاً آخر فتقول "قام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلةً من الليالي فقال (يا عائشة ذريني أتعبد لربي)، فتطهّر ثم قام يصلي، فلم يزل يبكي حتى بلّ حِجره، ثم بكى فلم يزل يبكي حتى بلّ لحيته، ثم بكى فلم يزل يبكي حتى بلّ الأرض.

وجاء بلال رضي الله عنه يؤذنه بالصلاة، فلما رآه يبكي قال: يا رسول الله، تبكي وقد غفر الله لك ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تأخر؟ فقال له (أفلا أكون عبداً شكوراً ؟) رواه ابن حبّان

كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم أجمل البشر، و لكن كان من أقربائه و أصحابه الكرام من يشبهه ببعض صفته الخِلْقية، فقد روي أن أبا بكر كان يحمل الحسن بن عليّ رضي الله عنهم على كتفيه عندما كان صغيرًا و يقول بأمي أنت شبيه بالنبيّ ليس شبيهًا بعليّ، و عليّ يسمع ويبتسم. وكان الحسن أشبهَ رسول الله عليه الصلاة و السلام ما بين الرأس إلى الصدر، و الحسين
أشبه النبيّ صلى الله عليه و سلم ما كان أسفل من ذلك. والذين كانوا يُشبهون النبيّ عليه أفضل الصلاة و السلام غير الحسن و الحسين: جعفر بن أبي طالب، و إبنه عبد الله بن جعفر، و قُثم بن عبد المطلب، و أبو سفيان الحارث بن عبد المطلب، و مسلم بن عقيل ابن بي طالب و من غير بني هاشم: الشائب بن يزيد المطلبيّ الجد الأعلى للإمام الشافعي، و عبد الله بن عامر بن كريز العيشميّ، و كابس بن ربيعة بن عدي و غيرهم. وكذلك المهديّ الذي سيظهر إن شاء الله في آخر الزمان. ورد أنه يشبهه صلى الله عليه و سلم وأنه واطأ ( أي وافق ) اسمه و اسم أبيه إسم النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم و اسم أبيه، و ذكر ابن يونس في كتاب (تاريخ مصر) أن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة الخولاني و كان شهد فتح مصر، طلب منه عمر رضي الله عنه بألا يمشي إلا مقنعًا لأنه كان يشبه النبي عليه الصلاة و السلام و كان صاحب عبادة و فضل.
