Location Alert is a cutting-edge application that reminds you to perform tasks based upon your current location, rather than time. Often there are tasks to which you cannot specify a certain time, however, would like to be reminded when in a certain vicinity.

Any application that is in constant contact with GPS satellites (such as Maps or Navigation software) will drain your battery rapidly. Location Alert, however, allows one to use its capabilities as much as desired while barely affecting the device's battery power at all. Rather than contacting satellites every second, the application uses genius mathematical formulae (distance, speed, time) and historical data to gauge your location along with GPS, hence only using GPS when in close proximity to provide you the accuracy that is essential. 1/. Today's alerts appear under future alerts instead of today's and when you get there nothing happens, i.e. no alert. (EDIT: 24 hours later and I see yesterday's alerts are now appearing in today's alerts - I suspect the app is not use the local time zone). 2 /. It's Hard to select location using the map. 3/. Distance only in miles. Needs a lot of work.

Does whats needed when on move. Reminds what to do 'where'. Radius settings can be made more flexible with Km instead of only Miles and variable settings instead of only default 4 radii.

I needed an app to remind me of gate codes while delivering on my courier route. After trying numerous apps, I have settled with Location Alert! This app has not let me down since I realized I needed to go to MORE in its settings and set the days its needed. It works off network but understandably, not as accurately. When I enabled GPS, it is perfect every time! Kudos to the developer of Location Alert! Your app is splendid!

The idea itself is quite good, but the problem with this app is that the maps are not cached and as a result it is difficult to set a location with nothing but a grey screen if you have no wifi and you don't know the coordinates. The app definately has promise but work is needed.

So far, its a good app, but can be so much better... Few improvements to be made: - Date AND time range (Give option for all day, or specific time range) - Can work in background and app does not require to be turned on - Can use the phone's signal to determine location and not require GPS (which drains more battery) - More options for distances from location - Sound and vibrating to stop after around 10 seconds but for the alert to stay on the lockscreen Keep up the good work...

Add time frame option for 5 stars. Using for bus stops. nice not constantly checking whereabouts out the window, can read/watch movies in peace

Great concept, but buggy in reality. Never did remind me when in reached my locations.
