Stop & Shop SCAN IT! Mobile

I was never intending to use the app, but today there were no charged scanners available. I wanted to keep track of my spending, so gave it a whirl. For the most part, it worked quite well. I had problems with scanning multiple items (canned cat food) so that slowed me down quite a bit. It lagged, so ended up scanning more than I actually had, so had to juggle that around. At the checkout, I had to be audited, which they do anyway occasionally with their own scanners too. Overall, I would prefer to use store's scanner and would only use the app if they were not available and not buying very much.

Always says it's having trouble communicating with the service no matter if I am trying to scan something to buy or just get a pricecheck. I'm on the store's WiFi with no issues (I am writing this review now while on the ScanIt WiFi and I can Facebook and everything else that uses internet). I've rebooted my phone multiple times and uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it's still giving me the same error. But the regular Stop and Shop app works well.

Amazing app. So easy to use. I connect to the store wifi. Turn on app. Scan put in bag. At the register i give my phone number and everything I scan came up on screen. Then I just use Samsung pay. So easy and fast. Thanks

Well! Looks like they finally got the app to work properly - on my Galaxy S8 Plus at least. If you switch midway to work with another app, it can still time out and lose connectivity. But when you go back to ScanIt, it reconnects without losing your purchases. So I'm giving this latest version four stars. If only it had worked this well in past years.

Used to love it lately refuses to connect to Scan it WiFi in the store. Device connects but app doesn't recognize connection

I like to buy in Stop and Shop because they got a good product when they have the sales every week I enjoy the product

Lately, none of the in store scanners have been working, so i decided to give this a try, despite all of the negative reviews. I ran in to the no network found error when I was shopping yesterday and was about to continue my shopping in frustration but noticed a mother juggling 3 infants and was effectively using this app. I was obviously doing something wrong and realized I never connected to the Scan-it mobile network. Once I connected, the app worked like a charm.

It used to work then I press the scan button and nothing happens all the in-store scanner guns are charging and I had to do this big shopping with no app working and no scanner gun get this fixed

Cannot get it to work no matter what I do it just keeps saying it needs to connect to the in store WiFi even though it is very disappointing would use it often if it worked

Download app and even though I was connected to store wi-fi it wouldn't recognize it and wouldn't let me pick my store. Sterling 20 minutes I gave up. Never got to use it. Very disappointed.

App doesn't work. Won't let me select a store and doesn't load. Keeps prompting me to connect to WiFi, but I am connected to the Scan It WiFi. In my store "scanners have not been fully charged" so I downloaded this app. With the app not working and the scanners never being charged, I am not going to shop Stop&Shop as much anymore. Very frustrating.

After multiple attempts to register the app for use in store, I quit trying. You can still scan items but can not check out without using a store scanner gun. Just decided to delete the app and just keep dealing with the occassional in store system crashes.

Doesn't EVER recognize that it is connected to the store wifi even when connected. Completely useless when you need it. Been this way forever.

APP DOES NOT WORK, ALMOST GOT ME DETAINED FOR SHOPLIFTING. All hand scanners in my store were in use,(a VERY busy morning, and the machine suggested using this app. Installed and connected to store scan it wifi. Pain in the ass getting items to scan! takes awhile to get every item to light up "green" and register a tone. After collecting 30 items I went to checkout and waited in line. was notified of yet another AUDIT. I was told to locate a hand scanner as the front end person "can't use the phone to do an audit because it's so difficult" so I had to go find a scanner and return to the register. When the audit began NONE of the items she was scanning were in my cart. Out of ten items she scanned, less than HALF were scanned. She told me that after scanning, getting the green box and the tone, that "YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE CART TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE THE ITEMS ARE IN THERE...THE TONE AND THE GREEN SQUARE DO NOT MEAN THE ITEM HAS SCANNED. Heated argument, asked for manager, accused of stealing. THIS APP SUCKS, i MAY NEVER SHOP AT S AND S AGAIN.

Store does not have wifi support in this location. I couldn't find my store. Basically I installed and uninstalled in 30 seconds. considering the ratings stemmed since 2016 there does not look like any attempts to improve.

Keeps saying connect to scan it network. There is never any scan it network available.

It worked like it says. Only issue im having is it won't connect to preferred store and the graphic of the app is a little cheesy but did work.

Always works for me, very helpful, rather than waiting for a scanner to charge. ECoupons load right to account .

This app worked like a charm for a long time... Now it fails to connect to the in store wifi everytime. I keep waiting for an update or for someone to fix it but it doesn't seem to be happening. Pretty poor, if they have this big of a problem and don't even know it

I've tried everything to get this app back to operational. Uninstall/reinstall, clear cache, reset phone to factory, been upgraded to lollipop, and now marshmallow. Still getting server error in my store. Oh, sure...works on the manager's phone. Samsung Galaxy S5. Great phone. Scan It Mobil. Lousy app.

Does not connect with store server. WiFi is connected to store but server doesn't respond. I have an S5 with android 5.0 system. Tried everything to get it to work. Store personnel seemed bewildered. I followed the directions and no.go. so fix the app already!

Used this app regularly with no problems until the latest update, when I started getting the infamous Wi-Fi connection error. Happened in SEVERAL different stores. Tried uninstalling and then re-installing the app, with no luck. Come on, Stop'n'Shop, get your act together!

This app is really difficult to use. If you have multiple of the same item it takes a long time between scanning the first one and then being able to scan the next one. Also you have to scan the next one several times as the first time you try it says to set it aside and scan at register. Stick with the scan guns

Update: Now it won't let me select my store and it keeps telling me that I need to connect to Scanit network even though I am. I'm convinced that this is deliberate. There's no way that the developers could be that incompetent. When it worked it was awesome. Now it needs to be removed from the Play Store and burned.

The last few updates do not work with app now. The phone wifi has no connection issue. However the app does not recognize the connection. This has been consistent for the last 2 months. Please fix it

It worked the first time I downloaded the app but says not connected the last few times I tried.

It keeps trying to connect to the store Wi-Fi. I made a manual successful connection and still won't recognize it. It should be able to login on the store Wi-Fi or the cell phone Networks

This app is horrible. It never connects to my local Seekonk, MA store.

Worked well for a few weeks and then the infamous WiFi connection error started and it has never worked since. Plainly stop and shop doesn't care.
