Oxford German Dictionary for Android
Thank you from all of your team and support because of the excellent dictionary. I would like to purchase this version but I don't have a credit card, so please let me know how can I purchase the dictionary. Sincerely Sajad Mousavi
The worst app ever, and the most desperate app in using ads
I believe that it will support my learning skills perfectly
This dictionary is excellent. As an official oxford dictionary it has more words than other dictionary apps, and the translations are very thorough. (Trust me, I tried all the free apps before spending money on the real deal.) I took this app to Germany with me, and I still use it to look up words in the German novels I brought back. Lookup is quick and easy, so I feel comfortable looking up every fifth word in my book without losing track of the story. This was never so easy with physical and web dictionaries. Overall, this is the best dictionary I've encountered. I used online dictionaries through school, but now I'm wishing I had forked out the money to use this instead.
Perfect for my needs - an excellent companion to have on my mobile when reading in German. Very good vocabulary coverage, unlike other apps I've tried. After 3 months of use I've yet to draw a blank when looking up a word or phrase - and that includes numerous colloquial expressions.
I have the paid version, which is expensive but worth the money. Super fast lookup, great links and details as needed for certain words, and confidence in accuracy given the Oxford name. Definitely a great tool/app for German students (or English students lol)
I loved this dictionary so much its so easy to use and super helpful. I am just starting to learn German and the fact the dictionary gives the Gender of the word with the article der/das/die is super neat. Switching between German and English is quick and efficient definitely an app I would recommend to others !
No pronunciation. Irritating nag popups. Reasonable vocabulary coverage.
Its a good dictionary for german and english learners. Its comprehensive explanations of words but if would be exist pronounciation of german words would be better. Because its important to pronounce when you learnt a new language.
The message that nags you to rate the app is annoying and won't go away.
If you want to become a real German when learing it. Th en you should start respectting the writter as well as the copyright. Buy it. It is. Worth it
Voice transcription makes this easier to use.
Does not cover all vocabulary
Too many adds
It is a great app for learning German
Great app for deutsch Lerners
Its very helpful
I have used this app extensively, both while traveling in Germany as well as when studying at home. I like the format of the entries and the numerous example sentences. If only the irregular verbs were conjugated within their definition entry, I would rate it 5 stars.
Good En-Gr Dictionary and words sources to employ but only thing is the offline-situation is unavailable and i should pay for. And another English Oxford dictionaries specially the apps, which don't need to Internet connection have temporary durability and at that time send massages "should pay for them". Specially for Upgraded Versions.
This is SOooo Stupid but Mobi fails to show that ... menu had been ALREADY visited to add a word to THE ONLY List offered. These are bilingual e_dict experts for Oxford ? I know how smart a V-P for Ox Press is as he is a Wolfson College grad in Phil. France offers a unilingual dict with word to learn VISIBLE flag and word of INTEREST flag. It's famous, but unilingual. So a Bilingual dict is only for already bilingual lexicographers ??? Critical SMART design Q wld be: Are U native Eng or Dtsch speaker? Why?
Contains der die das articles (yea) but not for plurals (why?). App on Samsung not very responsive so unworkable. Uninstalled.
A complete dictionary with examples that are clear. Word of the day feature is fun. Compound words, not found in other dictionaries are found here. Well worth the price for the ad free version .Updated regularly.
I totally can't understand the text because it's mainly in German...
Dieses deutsch-englisches Wörterbuch ist das Beste das ich gesehen habe. Ganz gut!
It's much better than using the paperback version.
It is so good
Good quality dictionary but not userfriendly, because it's very slow. It runs a search each time you type so it won't allow you to type or erase letters fast which is really annoying. I don't even type very fast but it still slows me down a lot. Very irritating!
Lasted about 5 minutes before uninstall; but managed 3 up-selling nags and a force close in that short time. That in itself is an achievement. There are MANY, far BETTER apps out there for this task.
It requires license
I think it's so good but u should add sound in this dictionary
Most complete and precise
The best app in the wood
No access to function menus, since upgrading my phone & unprofessional customer support staff. Be careful & think twice before you purchase.
Considering how liberating the app format is compared to the printed version, the price is a bargain. For clarity and detail the Oxford German dictionary is in a class above other German dictionaries written for English speakers (those I've tried, anyway, including the Collins).
This is THE offline German dictionary to have. In class it is so much quicker than others using dictionary books, and doesn't require being online. They have clearly updated content (it has 'Staycation' FFS) interface too, although imo there was nowt wrong with old one. I paid about 13gbp 16 euros and although it should/could be cheaper it has been worth every penny.
30 days trial but I install it after 2 minutes: slow, always requires intermet (?), a popup ads comes quickly...
Low quality dictionary,
Great dictionary

The annoying pop up "rate this app with 5 stars" is unacceptable for a paid app. Don't see why "more dictionaries has to waste screen space either. otherwise fine.
