Concise Oxford English & Thes for Android
I really Luv this app, very useful, quick and easy to access when offline. Is just great.
Can avoid ads
internet connection required! better using a real book, lol.
Dictionary and thesaurus are not linked. Will give it 5 stars if they are linked.
Good for us
I really like the Concise Oxford Dictionary app! I purchased the offline version and it is very convenient to be able to look up words, even when not connected to the internet on a flight. Only problem I had was easily handled once I got in touch with Support.
Mobisystems is by far one of the most reputable app developers since my very first BB Curve 8300 - of which I purchased licenses (for friends/family) of the 'Concise Oxford English Dictionary & Thesaurus'. Down the years from my Curve 8300, Bold 9000, Bold 97X0s, Q10, z30 and now my LG G5 - this app is still here and support from the developer is as great as expected. If by the small chance you experience issues with this app, I strongly suggest you contact mobisystems as their customer service is prompt, professional, friendly and accommodating :)
I paid for this app some time ago but now it is offering to update it to a 30 day restricted version. What game is this?
It is a multipurpose document that serves all fields.
It's the best ever

It is very easy to get words
Originally bought the Concise version for my iPhone 4 when I changed devise and OS (Android) asked to transfer my account to the appropriate App. No problem 1 email and a polite and no issues email a transfer code arrived within 6 hours. Downloaded and Bingo all perfect. 5 Star service.
Dictionary and thesaurus well deserve their good reputation -- always spot on, concise, but not too short and all word uses are covered. Switching between dictionary and thesaurus entries for a word takes two taps, so they are not merged but just share a common search interface. Audio samples are merely OK, apparently recorded by human speakers but highly compressed -- think last-century phone line -- with consonants sometimes hard to distinguish. The full license costs 12.74€ as of now, approx. US$ 14.
It's very helpful at one of the more difficult times in my life----"IT'S DEFINITIVE";tAaNk-YoU....MR.Jonathan West SR.
I have had this for years on my PC. Dictionary and thesaurus in one, doubly useful. The preemptive search results could come up a bit quicker.
If you want a good dictionary and thesaurus this is it... So you have to pay...ok... Pony up if you want the real deal...nuff said

The randomly appearing full screen pop up ads are increasingly irritating. They flash on so quickly that, to begin with, I thought I had been accidentally pressing them! However, I soon noticed them appearing without any provocation. Presumably this is to make you pay for the app. This makes me less inclined to do so. Words were VERY limited, to the point of me downloading a separate thesaurus which isn't even an Oxford. It's still better than this rubbish. Uninstalling!
