gPad remote touchpad/keyboard for Android
i've tried to connect with usb,coz my pc doesn't have wifi adapter & BT...but it says connection to the device failed...i've installed the driver from gPad folder..but it doesn't make any changes...can u pls fix it?or tell me why?
After getting so aggravated with WiFi Mouse HD due to their lack of program response, i had to find another and this does the job perfectly. Take note people, those in the same boat, get this and you will have full access. Thankyou!
Wanted to test before getting the paid version and have been unable to download the computer side software. I will give a new rating when fixed.
Horrible. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an app. It never even connected, I tried all three connection types, and it still didn't work. The Mac OSX Server Client is Horribly written, and barley worked. I hope any users who plan on using this in the future will see this review and not download it. It is not worth your time at all.
it's a great app i've ever see, but why i can't run this app on my phone? i've tried to connect via USB but it still says, "...your computer couldn't connect to your phone..." i've check my android device in adb, and it's attached. please let me know, am i wrong?
Works excellently on Bluetooth. However, like all the other wifi controllers I've tried, it doesn't work (my fault). For all the Linux haters, it clearly states for PC/MAC so shut it.
Developer should demonstrate how to configure bluetooth connection correctly. I don't prefer wifi cause I travel many places. My PC : Asus transformer T100 windows 8.1 32-bit(6.3, build 9600) My Android : Galaxy note 2
This seemed like the thing I was looking for since a long time, but to my disappointment, the website mentioned in documentation gpad.mobi seems to be down, and so is the facebook page linked from here which is why I am writing this in the review – for the lack of options – I could not complete the installation of the server and from what I understand, it needs the server software in order to work with a Mac or a PC? Authors, please do reply to let us know what's up.
Great program! Easy to connect and use, however it no longer works after I updated to OSX Mavericks.
The keyboard input is awful. I just want to use my default keyboard and the one provided is trash. This is great for on the flu powerponts.
I think this is a brilliant app, I find there is less lag and an array of different remotes you can use. It's also really good that you can edit these remotes and program the buttons picture/text I think it would be cool if you had a button to change keyboards so you can use your phone One and the program one
It is not a good app.First it doesn't connects via usb. There is one option in settings to connect via usb but it is totally useless.Secondly this app crashes sometimes. I wanna connect it via usb but I can't. So please don't download it as it is totally a crapware. This app would be better if the usb connection would work correctly. This app is not worth of even 1 star.
My only problem is if I exit the app on my phone I have to restart the software on my desktop. If this issue was resolved I'd give five stars
Does what it says. Havent had a single problem yet. Great for accessing my computer thats plugged into my tv across the room.
This app is so good that i had to buy it. The keyboard needs some more basic characters, but other than that its wicked. Edit: server cant be found so going from 5* to 1* a few years later.
First, the bad points: the gPads make the app crash on my phone, which don't encourage me to buy the full version. I also couldn't find how to create/edit my own layouts, but I think this might be a paid-version-only thing. However, all I wanted was a keyboard/mouse remote, and this does the job with very little hassle in setting up. The only part of this which I wasn't provided with (which is where this app lost a star) is that there is no Dvorak keyboard built-in, nor is there the option of using the one I already have installed on my phone. I imagine the Dvorak problem is very simple to fix, so once that's done it'll definitely get a fifth star from me!
... bluetooth connection is lost when you rotate phone. This could be easily remedied if there was an option to force landscape orientation for touchpad. Ya I know bluetooth is beta, but this one option would make me actually use the app.
Not working at all. Kinda disappointing as I was looking for a app that doesn't require root and at the same time allows the use of usb connection as a keyboard.
Tried two others that failed miserably, after about three hours of tinkering I installed this one and omfg it worked. Perfect, super responsive, can't wait to start photoshopping with my new graphics pad w a phone in it!
I used this for a while to control my laptop during presentations. Does not work after upgrading to Mavericks.
Tried to connect through usb but failed. Looked through the faq and setup did not help as too vague. Pls teach us how to connect to the usb
Plz get it fixed. I need it bad.
Server application nor it's uninstaller run on Windows 8. UI is terribly outdated, doesn't follow guidelines and is slower than it's supposed to be. Plenty of features, but useless if they won't run...
The lack of a question mark on the keyboard is the only thing preventing me from buying the pro version.
It doesn't indicate it is a trial version. I have no idea what can I use on it. Plus can't connect to computer via usb after finished their instruction on site. When through faq, useless. Still doesn't work. Not going to buy it when trial is not even working. Computer program interface was horrible. Clicked connect via usb there is no indication of what I have clicked or even have I clicked it.
White background causes faster battery drain(how hard is it to offer an inverted color scheme?). USB does not work with my Nexus 7 and Windows 7. 3 stars because it does what it's supposed to over WiFi and does it well.

I hate WiFi server solutions for remote touchpad apps and have been looking for a bluetooth solution. I don't care about all the extra features in this program but the last 10 minutes of using the touchpad have been great. I have a thinkpad and for all it's glory it has a crappy touchpad. I can now use my new Nexus 7 to control it! Thanks for this app.
Needs Linux gpad server. Was hoping to link my latex editor, LyX, with a formula handwriting recognition software.
Downloaded the server to Mountain Lion on a Macbook Pro. Crashes instantly.
1. Is this product still supported? 2. How long will take to evaluate till our custom gPad will be in the catalog list? 3. Any idea to export via offline? Overall this app is the best ever. Thanks.
The free version only lets you use the keyboard for a short time, then disables it and you have to pay to get it back... This turned out to be a good feature, because it made me go look for alternatives and I discovered Unified Remote, a superior product.
Almost perfect. Only thing I don't like is the keyboard. It's annoying and awkward. I want to be able to take advantage of the system keyboard instead.
This app needs you to run software on your computer to work. The website to download that software is dead. Thus, this app is useless. 3/25/12 - Dinc
Could not get the server app started on Mac, kept crashing after launch. Uninstalling
this app are very good but the server alwayssss got problem . like cant search the server or connect then cant use. please fix and upgrade. please apply faster i use gpad in my class. thanks!! =D
No lag what so ever ,instalation is a bit confusing though
Useless to me without Linux support. Really terrible to distribute software for devices running a Linux kernel that can communicate with Windows and/or Mac but not other Linux-based systems.
The idea is a good one, but it's way too buggy. Randomly doesn't work, messes up with no apparent reason. Still, when it does work, it's rather smooth.

Used to be great until the keyboard stopped working. You can't seem to "summon" it anymore. Some sort of voice to text conversion or copy paste would be awesome
