Wildflowers Mindfulness for Android
I love this app for guided meditations. It is the only one I have found that includes biofeedback (heart rate monitor) and mood tracking. The recorded voices are also really good - often these apps will have guides who are either constantly whispering, have a heavy accent, try to sound "mystical", or are downright seductive. There's none of that here, thankfully. This is one that's actually based on the science, and I appreciate that. My only complaint is that the last time I tried this, they required a subscription to continue that was WAY outside of my budget. I hope that has been updated by now, because I really love this app but can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on it.
Great idea. My phone is too old to use the biofeedback unfortunately although I have an app that measures more parameters pretty accurately. The lessons are why the low rating. I've tried going through the first one enough to have killed several hours and haven't made it through without it crashing. The initial download is big enough that it seems like the lessons wouldn't need a connection. Less than a week in and it's caused more stress than calm.
So far, so good. Interesting sessions and I see a positive difference in mood when I log my state before and after a session. Wish I could "go back" with some of the text that's displayed on the screen though. If you're not quick enough to read it, it goes away and that's it, seems there is no way to re-display that text again.
I was in love with this app but now my promo has expired and when I try to subscribe I am told the option is unavailable. Very disappointed. I was using it at least once a day and would have been happy to pay if it was affordable for me. But I am not even able to make that decision. Edit: got an email from the developers saying they are working on the android subscription and gave me another promo code. Back to 5 stars from me!
I was using the app very regularly if not daily and found that it was really helping. When my free trial ended I was considering paying for a subscription but it says it is unavailable?! So now I just can't use it anymore EDIT: the developers have now replied and given me a code so that I can still use it.
Just done the first lesson and feeling so good! Love this app! Will recommend to all friends! Also i hope i dont get the problem of not being able to subscribe after im done with my trial of 182 days
Just beautiful and just what I needed. Only first few lessons in but so easy to use and just really lovely. Thank you for creating something so wonderful. UPDATE: Just went to subscribe to continue but unavailable. How disappointing. Please fix asap.
Really love it, haven't encountered any problems, wide variety of meditations to choose from. Includes a journal section to track mood, heart rate and more. Really does help with the mood after a tough day!
I tried a couple of other apps, but it was with Wildflowers that I first started regular meditations. The way it's designed it encourages you to make meditation part of your life rather than to open it up when in dire need. Helps me calm my mind and focus on what's important.
Love this app - it has really helped me during some very stressful periods. I had some trouble resubscribing, but contacted the developers who said this would be in place soon. They even gave me a code so I could continue the lessons a while longer!
App won't let me log in, claims I have an incorrect password even after I reset it. It seemed like a great app the one time it let me use it, but since I can't log back in it doesn't matter.
I really like this app. However the heart rate sensing is atrocious. I have a heart rate monitor on my phone, as well as on my watch, yet they choose to do it by face camera? / rear camera (which doesn't work and makes my flash really hot) Come on guys, it's ruining the overall wonderful experience
Great app, however the sounds were driving me nuts. It seemed a bit like a kid was playing with a soundboard and abruptly turned sounds up or down instead of fading them over a few seconds.
Love it. Was pleasantly surprised to find this app during a day of high anxiety. I was even more excited to see that the developers are based in my neighborhood. Keep up the great work everyone and thank you for calming me down.
I found this app quite by accident. I checked it out and I love it. I don't like meditating however this app makes it easy and it is interactive which I really like. Check it out I think you may like it especially if mediating doesn't come easy to you. Peace
I Really like this app I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and waiting to start a DBT program that includes a lot of mindfulness. Since the waiting list is very long I have wanted to get a head start to learn how mindfulness works, and as a way to cope with all the thoughts and feelings I have during the day. I have been struggling trying to learn on my own and this app has been great for the guided mindfulness to get me started.
looks pretty. lists seem to have potential. but it keeps turning off my auto brightness making the screen too bright! now I'm angry too!!! s4 mini 4.4.2 stock.
This is a good app and I'd have been happy to pay a one off fee for it, but I'm not willing to sign up to yet another monthly drain on my finances. Update: free code given. I'll see how the cost of subscriptions goes
Wishy washy meditations are useless, esp when they clearly have no idea about the idiocy of making assumptions after you've just asked for someone to self assess...
The heartrate doesn't record on my Samsung Galaxy. There is a picture of where to put your finger. Guess what, surprise surprise you are shown an iPhone, which is soooo useful (rubb off the extensive amounts of sarcasm with a warm cloth). The meditations made me more fidgety, frustrated and confused than I've ever been. That's what they suggested. I do not recommend it to anyone in a bad state of mind. Maybe if you're happy it works.
I've given Mindfulness and guided meditation a go before in an attempt to manage a difficult mental illness but I never really felt they made a difference. This app shows your progress and is very easy to follow. It has everything, I can't fault it. I hope so can carry on using it every day and when the 184 day trial period is up I'll almost certainly be buying it.
I adore this app. I wish there was a longer version! It has improved my ability and willingness to be mindful 100%. Thank you so much wildflowers! So happy to have stumbled across this app!!
the interactivity and variety to the lessons is interesting and educational, you don't need any peripheral equipment to measure your heartrate and you get to see the measurable effects of meditation, the guide focuses more on physical sensation and awareness than thoughts which works much better for me and I appreciate it a lot. I've noticed more of a difference after a single session than weeks in other meditations I've tried. I love it and will definitely continue to use it
Perfect to decompress after a stressful day, week, right before bed. Has helped signigicantly with falling asleep as well. Will continue to use and recommend!
The best and most visually stunning meditation app I've found so far. Lessons for beginners made me enjoy meditation in new ways, which suprised me. Worth your download, even just to try. Nice job to the creators--and thank you!
Love this app - and was using the free subscription more than once a day. Was starting to really make a difference. My favorite guided meditation was Elephants Trunk. Then my subscription expired and the app doesn't allow me to RE subscribe. More than happy to pay for access to the guided meditations. Love that the app captures your heart rate and mood before and after the meditation. Really wish I could subscribe.
I thought maybe if I wait for few days it would come back to normal... But it didn't. I hope you guys look into the matter.
The app is great and the voices are very relaxing, but it took me 5 minutes to get my heart rate calculated the second time and that was very frustrating. Other than that, I highly recommend this app.
Love the app but the reset password won't send to my email. Tried multiple times. Ended up having to create a new email. So don't forget your password!
After the trial was over and I tried to subscribe all the options were unavailable.
Need to create an account. And they are selling our emails and we get bombarded with trash
Love this app after the first try. Guided meditation was wonderful. I was able to take snapshot on my Samsung and looking forward to the Android version for EEG biofeedback. Thats amazing! & I'm really intrigued. Will continue using after trial for sure. Thank you so much for a wonderfully thought out app. As a yoga teacher will pass along to students.
Been loving this app since day one. I've been using it daily and everytime I end up feeling calmer, happier, and it makes my day so much better.
Just did the first lesson and I'm absolutely in love with this!!! I was feeling absolutely tense and anxious and it calmed me so much..... Can't wait to try more!
I've paid for a subscription and now cannot access the app. It says user email or password not recognized. I have reset the password 3 times and it won't accept it. Please tell me how to contact someone for help
This meditation app is the best on the market... Trust me, I tried nearly all of them. Nice touch with journal and games. Makes you wanna use it. It's a keeper and I will pay subscription with joy when the time comes! ☺
Very helpful mindfulness tool that allows you to measure and observe your improvements using before and after "Snapshots." Love this app!
Wildflower helps me relax. I love the visuals as they try to recreate a natural environment with appropriate background sounds. I would like to suggest that the timer to count down your time to meditate would be placed on the bottom of the screen and not in the middle.
Best meditation app out there! Even better than headspace as far as tracking and analysing your mood and improvement in mindfulness. The touch works odd in library for some reason, but otherwise it's perfect!

The game itself is amazing. But it's impossible to get in if you forget your user name with no way to contact the company. You can reset your password but not user name. I don't understand anyway why we have to list our email, user name, and password everytime we open this app. It just seems like too much trouble for what it's worth. And I think you have to pay like a monthly subscription for it anyway. So it's probably easier to just go pay some other mindfulness app a one time fee, that's easily accessible, and that has a better way to communicate with developers.
