Dr. Chacón

Manuel Chacón es doctor en Medicina de la Universidad Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas de Centro América, Costa Rica en 1993. Durante cuatro años se formó en cirugía general en el Hospital San Juan de Dios y desempeñó el cargo de Jefe de Residentes. Así, en 1999 obtuvo el título de Especialista en Cirugía General otorgado por la Universidad de Costa Rica.

Su desempeño en cirugía plástica lo inicia en Francia en el año 2000, en el Servicio de Cirugía Plástica Reconstructiva y Estética del Profesor Raulo y Profesor Lantieri en el Hospital Henri Mondor, en los temas dermatológicos, oculoplásticos y de cirugía general, obteniendo el Diplomado en Senología en la Universidad de París.
Posteriormente se desarrolla en el servicio de Cirugía Plástica y Maxilofacial del Profesor Stricker en el Hospital Central de Nancy, Francia, abarcando en esta oportunidad traumatología maxilofacial, parálisis facial y plástica general.

Continúa su formación en el servicio de Cirugía Plástica Pediátrica y Maxilofacial de la Profesora Vásquez en el Hospital Pediátrico Armand Trousseau, en las áreas de cirugía de labio paladar, distracción mandibular y lesiones cutáneas pediátricas. A continuación se desarrolla en el Departamento de Cirugía Plástica Reconstructiva y Estética de la Universidad de Paris XII-Val de Marne en el año 2002.
En el año 2003 es residente de la unidad interdepartamental de Cirugía Plástica y reconstructiva post-oncológica de cabeza y cuello y colgajos microquirúgicos en mamas.

Es seleccionado para realizar un fellowship en Cirugía Plástica Estética y Craneofacial con l renombrado Profesor Daniel Marchac en el Hospital Necker, Clínica CCBB.
Obtiene en el 2003 el Diploma inter universitario de Anatomía Quirúrgica de Cabeza y Cuello de la Universidad de París V Rene Descartes. Ese mismo año culmina su especialización, al otorgarle la Sociedad Francesa de Cirugía Plástica, Reconstructiva y Estética el título del Colegio Francés de Cirugía Plástica, Reconstructiva y Estética.

A su regreso a Costa Rica se inicia como miembro activo de la Asociación costarricense de Cirujanos Plásticos, Reconstructiva y Estética y a la Federación Ibero-Latinoamericana de Cirugía Estética y Reconstructiva, ejerciendo además docencia en Cirugía Plástica en la Universidad Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas de Centroamérica (UCIMED).

Ha participado en múltiples congresos y capacitaciones en donde ha expuesto sus trabajos de investigación tanto en inglés como francés, gracias al dominio que tiene de ambos idiomas.
Durante el año 2005 realizó importantes giras en la presentación de workshops y congresos dentro de los que destacan el Congreso de la American Society of Plastic Surgeons en Chicago, Illinois, el Emmas European Masters in Anti-Aging que se desarrolló en Paris, Francia, presentó además el Workshop “Fillers” sobre rejuvenecimiento sin cirugía en la ciudad de Bang Kok, Tailandia, así como el Congreso anual de Cirujanos Plásticos en Delhi, India, entre otros.
Todas estas experiencias le han proporcionado un altísimo crecimiento personal y profesional que lo convierten en un especialista de magnánima calidad. Manuel Chacon is a Doctor of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Medical Sciences in Central America, Costa Rica in 1993. For four years he trained in general surgery at the Hospital San Juan de Dios and served as Chief Resident. Thus, in 1999 he obtained the title of Specialist in General Surgery from the University of Costa Rica.

His performance in plastic surgery is initiated in France in 2000, in the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Professor Raulo and Professor Lantieri at the Henri Mondor Hospital in dermatologic, oculoplastic and general surgery topics, obtaining the Diploma in Senology at the University of Paris.
Subsequently it developed in the Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery Professor Stricker at the Central Hospital of Nancy, France, covering this time maxillofacial trauma, facial paralysis and usually plastic.

He continues his training in Pediatric Plastic Surgery Service and Maxillofacial Professor Vasquez at Children's Hospital Armand Trousseau, in the areas of lip palate surgery, pediatric mandibular distraction and skin lesions. Below it is developed in the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Paris XII-Val de Marne in 2002.
In 2003 he is a resident of the interdepartmental unit Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and post-oncologic head and neck and breast flaps in microquirúgicos.

It is selected for a fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial with l renowned Professor Daniel Marchac at the Necker Hospital, Clinic CCBB.
Obtained in 2003 the inter university diploma Surgical Anatomy Head and Neck at the University of Paris V Rene Descartes. That same year completes his specialization, to give the French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic the title of the French College of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

On his return to Costa Rica begins as an active member of the Costa Rican Association of Plastic Surgeons, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, also exerting teaching in Plastic Surgery at the Autonomous University of Medical Sciences in Central America ( UCIMED).

He has participated in numerous conferences and trainings where he discussed his research work in both English and French, thanks to the domain that has both languages.
In 2005 he made important tours in presenting workshops and conferences within highlighting the Congress of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in Chicago, Illinois, Emmas European Masters in Anti-Aging which was held in Paris, France, presented also the Workshop "Fillers" on rejuvenation without surgery in the city of Bang Kok, Thailand, and the annual Congress of Plastic Surgeons in Delhi, India, among others.
All these experiences have given him a high personal and professional growth that make it a quality specialist magnanimous.
