Un grupo de vecinos amantes del fútbol forjaron la idea de la creación de un club donde los chavales de San Antonio de Benagéber, una vez terminada su andadura en la Escuela Municipal, pudiesen tener una continuidad y jugar al fútbol sin coste alguno para ellos.
Así se inicia el nacimiento de un Club que pretende modestamente, como amantes del deporte, no sólo ganar títulos y trofeos, sino también, formar en valores a través del deporte a los jóvenes del municipio.
Con la misma ilusión que se desarrolla la propuesta de este grupo de padres, comienza el mayor reto en el que se embarcan durante el año 2012, la formación de un Club, cuyo nombre será el reflejo de la fuerza, casta y coraje con el que quieren identificarse: Rayo S.A.B.
