The Marineforecaster application was created through the developer's personal needs for his fishing adventures, whether made by boat or along the coast. The need for a detailed weather forecast, especially for weather at sea, was deemed necessary as existing applications did not meet expectations, not only in terms of forecasting successes but also in terms of direction and air intensity, direction and wave height, temperatures, rainfall and other details such as water temperature, cloud coverage and other information important for the day.
At Marineforecaster we are always working to improve and add new applications that have been designed to fill in the gaps that existed thereby giving a big boost to the Application. Also, our users became more demanding over time in asking for improvements. So, more options have been added, such as information on ports, marinas, boat ramps, gas stations, etc.
Because safety is our primary goal, and with the permission and assistance of the National Observatory of Athens, NOAA of America and Weather Underground, it is now possible with one click for the user to get real weather data for the area of interest, anywhere. Thus, real-time data gives the user a safe choice to safely plan his/her sailing routing.
After a year of bathymetry data processing, we have created maps with specific depths. Maps were something we wanted to give to our users, to provide a more specific understanding of the specific depths in the areas they are fishing or sailing in rather than to act as navigation maps (We do not recommend the use of our maps for navigation purposes except in emergency and under the responsibility of the captain of the vessel).
We plan to become the best free application for the seagoing population. With your help and your positive vote through review at Play Stores, we are convinced that we will succeed.

Perspective from an app developer - it's always great to get a well-written review that asks for features or fixes, the reality is, most users do 2 things poorly:
1) Leave a review that complains but doesn't give actionable feedback. "Doesn't work" isn't something I can work with. What doesn't work? How can I fix that?
2) Don't respond when I reply to your review, asking for more details.
The net result is a drop in my apps' rating, but I can't do anything about it, and sometimes, if I do fix the issue, the effect of the negative review is still there!
I'd much prefer that if you have a problem with the app, either a feature you think is missing, or something's not working well, start by trying to contact me directly. The Play Store listing usually has a website or email link for the developer.
And most apps (mine included) have a feedback or help link - use it! And please, please, please; respond to the developer if they ask for more info.
Doing this prevents a minor, fixable issue from permanently hurting the app's ratings, and ratings affects downloads for many of us.

I go fishing sometimes so I need to know about weather and this app , guys , it is easy to use and accurate . For android users this is the best actually , at least for me . Keep up the good work . ????

Sorry you are getting some poor reviews, but I am experiencing the same problems. I am using a Samsung Note 4. The app can not find my GPS, no weather because of that? Other apps use GPS fine will this says it is not turned on.

This app is very poorly designed. I tried adding a location and was successful..yet could not figure out how to return to it. I need the marine forecast ...not the numerous other features which are not useful. Software needs to do one thing really well, this app does nothing well ...

I wanted this to be awesome. No setting for us/metric. Data completeness is inconsistent. No way to update info. Clunky UI. (Reply is here since I can't reply in thread: Gas stations seem to only be near Mediterranean . Services info near me (Salem, MA, USA, Brewer Hawthorne Marina) is incomplete. I would love to see users able to add/change local info. Think: ActiveCaptain. I will continue to check out new versions as I hope to see these improvements. It is a good start but still needs more work right now.

No settings for localization. I don't use metric, Celsius, 24 hour clock... The dates are completely wrong 03-08 is March 8th, not August 3rd. Very convoluted interface.

Registration worked with Gmail account only! Outlook account never received any email for verification nor forgotten password! In order to be useful and save locations you need to register! Constant GPS not on alert really annoying! If you open maps from a location is a black screen and crashes constantly when trying to add map elements.
