Appy Gamer – Games news

The app is pretty good since it includes all the news sources you could want and is constantly adding more. Given the amount of sources it does mean that at times images and videos won't load probably because of compatibility issues. But there's a nice workaround to that by using the "Read this article on the web" button at the end of an article. Comments don't work at all, but I don't mind since I wouldn't use them anyway. Speaking of which, a nice addition would be to disable reactions to articles. They don't really offer much since there could be many reasons for one and no way to know what everyone means by them. They can easily be used to troll so it would be nice have the option to avoid them. Great app nonetheless and hope the feedback is taken into consideration for further improvements.

Hey enjoy this app for the most part but I just noticed something that needs to be changed quickly. When browsing with a Bluetooth mouse, wherever the pointer hovers there is a pop-up that comes up and obscures other content. Please make this an option to turn off. Thank you!

It does what it's supposed to. All my nerdy, gaming news in one spot. Doesn't overburden you with ads. The 1-2 sentence Gamespot articles get annoying though. But you could just ignore them. Someone else 2 swipes down will be reporting the exact same thing

Nice idea but the article tags are completely useless. GTA V articles are under the 3DS label, Splatoon 2 appears in the Xbox section. My Ps4 feed is made of articles tagged as Xbox 360 even though one of them is an article about the movie Wonder Woman 2... It's just useless. I am genuinely surprised when I find an article tagged correctly and in the correct feed.

Notifications are broken!! Won't let me turn them on or off. It also doesn't even show articles when I click on them? So what's the point? It just says nothing available.

I know this app for years. But in the last few days, the only thing I can read are the top stories, because in the other sections it says "no connection to network". Why is that so? I have a Samsung S7

This used to be really good. Now I can't read a single article. Every time I click on a topic, it says Article not found. I noticed the same issue on the NewsRepublic app where Video Games topic was completely removed. Please fix this. I pay money for this and your apps have been broken for awhile. Getting sick of it.

Update: The widget is still horrible and for some reason they started sending me the news via mail, which is not my prefered way to browse games news and when I do want to read an article it opens in the app and says that the article can't be found. I've uninstalled the app and am currently looking for a more convenient news outlet. Update: I only use the app via the widget, which keeps getting worse. In the last month it only updated the top stories 2 or 3 times. If this doesn't change I'm out. Old review: Nice way to stay informed about games, hardware and the industry. Why did you take away the rollover widget? Bring it back and I'll take my rating back to 5 stars.

There is no support, here is what they said when I reported a severe bug: "Thanks for your message and for getting in touch! Unfortunately we are no longer supporting this app at the moment - really sorry about that." at least have the decency to take your app off the market if you're not even gonna support it

Went from 5 to 3. Reason: tap PC, flooded with console news. I get it, money is money, but why have an aspect of your app not work as intended. I'm not the only one seeing this issue.

I have always liked this app but the ads lately have been very obnoxious and in your face (with an increased number too). Cut back on the ads a bit and it would be a 5 star for sure.

Hands down nothing better on the mobile platform for gaming news. People will always have a problem with something so don't let a negative review detour you this app rocks. Though I do have one request that would set this app to be the best app ever. Let super gamers have like a actual page within the app (upgraded profile) that allows us to give opinions on games we are playing and articles we have on our page. That would streamline our comments on articles and allow us to give opinions on games. Just saying that'll set you guys to Rockstar status.

Your app is a great source to learn about tech and game news. Yesterday I subscribed to the ad-free version. If the reactions to the news were different it would be good, currently it doesn't make sense - "game over bonus point?" If it just plainly said "liked" or "disliked" the article and then your algorithm proposed future news according to our likes it would be perfect. Also please keep the updates coming.

It seems to work fine for a couple of days, but then no longer refreshes the news stories. It says it isn't connected to the network. The only way to get it to find new content is to uninstall and then reinstall the app. But, again, that only lasts a couple of days.

The app dies on itself every time I try to connect via a Google account. Because of this it's the equivalent to me doing a Google search and typing in "games". No ability to filter/personalize/etc..

Great app that is easy to use. Articles and sources are good with plenty of info for the occasional, social and serious gamers alike and very little to be upset with about this app. Still new to it and exploring so the 4???? rating may yet change. Thank you for the app!

Great overall, after last update though I am seeing articles in Spanish even though my language setting is setting English. Really annoying as I can't read Spanish.

I like the news I get on here. How games I like are doing. But not much about new releases. Their are lots of new releases out there and I don't see to many articals on them. Would love to see even educated guesses on New releases. Even indi games. They have lots of stories on stuff like this but don't get much spotlight.. get on that pls.

Another new update, but does this mean that news is where it should be e.g. PS4 news is just about playstation 4? Hell no, still all a massive mess of other news that means categories mean nothing as the news is just repeated in every section.

It's a good app. just needs a follow or block button¿ alot of reviews in languages! I don't understand so I can't read then .

Im sorry for the bad review, but I wonder why this is advertised VARIOUS TIMES as an essential ANDROID WEAR app. I downloaded it and it does NOTHING with my watch. Am I missing something?

Sometimes the 1st page load time is slow but apart from that it's a great app, I use it every day have done for over a year now. It puts you in touch with the gaming industry's best articles for a huge range of sources . Superb

Constantly getting Xbox, Switch and, PS4 in abundance on my PC category. Sort this crap out as it's getting worse over time.

At first I gave it 5 stars and kept it that way for a long time hoping they will fix it but so far nothing. The app is still amazing when it works but lately, it opens but the page takes ages to load up and sometimes it doesn't even load up at all. Pls fix it so I can go back to 5 stars coz this app deserves 5 stars if it works well

This is a great app with only one shortcoming. There are regularly spoilers for TV shows and movies and have absolutely nothing to do with gaming. Restrict the content to only things about actual gaming and it's the perfect app.

I like the structure of the app and the way the mood system works. I also think its a smart idea the way you earn points as you give feedback and share, as it encourages users to be more active. The widgets are great too as i can get information quickly. I work at Besy Buy and i need to stay updated on gaming and tech news to be able to help customers, and this app helps me do it. Love it!

Quick and easy reviews from all the sites I use. Don't have to travel everywhere to find my gaming news, it is all in one place.

I used to use gaming news app, but that got flooded with advertising and sort of ruined it. This one is really well layered and I like the way you can move around the topics, the only thing I have noticed is first thing in the morning the articles don't appear to be loaded which is odd, but once it has it's good

This app is amazing. If you're a video game junkie and love staying updated on just about anything and everything gaming related. This is your app. Always updating and with it's news customized by you, there is always something you will want to read

Was Great for all news tech and gaming... Now just get "Network disconnected" with no option to go online.

I did enjoy this app, but lately I get "Network is disconnected" everytime I try to use the app. Tried reinstalling but it worked two times then I got the same. It's a shame I can't use this app anymore.

Good content with a wide variety of providers. I do get the occasional hang up where new articles won't show up unless I un/reinstall.

I've changed my score from 5 to 4 because I appreciated the speech option that read articles to you...It was great for when I commute for work. Not much time to read but like the source material here

Your app is sooo annoying. I get sooo sick of seeing the same articles over and over and when i click on playstation 4 news or xbox one. STOP putting xbox news with playstation and vise versa. Your app is really annoying it will have a million of the same articles talking about the same thing like a mollion destiny 2 articles. I DONT CARE

I really wanted to like this app but every time I try to connect it to Google+ the app restarts itself. Very frustrating

Definitely worth 5 star but I can't sign in. It crashes when trying with google. Change and I'll give it it's true 5 star it deserves

Have had the app for over a year now, it's a daily visit for up to date news on anything game related, including daily deals around the world on all game related merch. For X box, PlayStation, & PCs. Love the ease of navigation & no pop up ads ???? 10/10
