About Saint Paul's Catholic High
Our School Saint Paul’s Catholic High School is a popular and successful school where staff and pupils work together to create a vibrant and caring community. As a Catholic High School in the Diocese of Shrewsbury, our Mission Statement ‘Journeying together with Jesus Christ, we learn to love and love to learn’ very much sums up what we feel we are about as a school. We are a school based firmly on Gospel values of love, compassion, respect and service and these are evident in the commitment we have to provide excellent education and care for each young person entrusted to us. Working together in partnership, in our parishes and communities, we will cultivate these core values, encouraging each pupil’s spiritual and academic development. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school which inspires all our pupils and staff to excel. We are known for our strong Catholic ethos, our excellent specialism, Engineering, and for nurturing a strong family atmosphere. Academically we ensure all our pupils progress and achieve their full potential. We achieve this through providing excellent teaching and pastoral care that is second to none. Saint Paul’s has joined with three schools: St Anthony’s, SS John Fisher & Thomas More and St Elizabeth’s to form the Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust. The school also has excellent partnerships with the four other Catholic primary schools in Wythenshawe and the Manchester Catholic Sixth Form Colleges, Loreto and Xaverian, forging curricular and social links to enable pupils to benefit from continuity at transition. The school is a key member of the Manchester Catholic Education Partnership. Care for the individual is at the very heart of what we do as a school and as our pupils grow in responsibility, leadership and understanding, the desire to do what is right grows within them. We are a pupil-centred school, where our pupils learn to work to their fullest potential, to believe in themselves and to share their God-given talents. We want to help our pupils grow in faith as well as knowledge. We want them to make choices informed by facts, but also grounded by a deep sense of morality. We try to nurture their abilities, so that as they mature and search for answers to questions, they can discover the unique purpose of their lives. Kind regards Mrs Fiona Minshall Headteacher
