About Ketton C of E Primary School
A very warm welcome to the APP for Ketton Church of England Primary School. Part of The Rutland Learning Trust. Our school is situated in the heart of Ketton village, in the County of Rutland. We are close to the Lincolnshire border and near to the historic town of Stamford. We are a popular and expanding school. We are very proud of our school, our staff team and, of course, our children! We were graded as Outstanding by Ofsted in our most recent Inspection and our previous Diocesan Inspection was also Outstanding too! At Ketton School we recognise that every child is special and unique. In order to provide an excellent education, we aim for children to enjoy their learning and to develop a wide range of skills in order to progress with enthusiasm and determination. Our children are encouraged to understand that learning is a lifelong process. We also aim for children to develop a wide range of personal skills in order to mature as confident individuals, able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. We are mindful that the world is becoming increasingly smaller in terms of communication and interaction. We teach children to become responsible citizens who will make positive contributions to society; locally, nationally and globally. The school has recently been extended and improved. We have seven classes, situated in warm, welcoming classrooms. Several areas are available for small group learning activities. Our large, spacious hall is used for daily acts of worship, enjoying lunch together and for P.E., drama and after school activities, such as multi-sports and trampoline club. We hope you enjoy reading visiting our website and that it gives you a ‘flavour’ of what we offer here at Ketton. Do come and visit us; you will be made very welcome. The Rutland Learning Trust Working Together Sustaining Excellence Transforming Learning In September 2013 Whissendine CE Primary, St Nicholas CEVA Primary and Ketton CE Primary began working together in a formalised collaboration in order to create a Multi-Academy Trust across the schools. As a dedicated team of teachers, support staff, Directors, parents and carers we work with love, professionalism and commitment on behalf of and with the pupils of Ketton, St Nicholas and Whissendine Church of England Primary Schools to provide educational provision of the very highest quality. ?By ‘Working Together to Sustain Excellence and Transform Learning’ we believe that we can improve outcomes for our children - today, tomorrow and in the future. Our shared vision and aims provide us with a robust self-evaluation framework through which we aim to develop every aspect of the children within our school. Our aims are deliberately positive and, we believe, encompass the structure, goals and Christian values we all share. They are a result of widespread consultations with all stakeholders. Our Christian Ethos Christian values and practice are at the heart of our shared life as Church of England Schools and they shape an enquiring and respectful approach to everything around us. We have strong, well established links with our local churches who contribute regularly to our schools programmes and we seek to learn about and from other faith-traditions in today’s world. Across The Rutland Learning Trust we encourage our pupils to be inquisitive and passionate about their learning.
